They were all pretty good musicians and this may have been Prince's most popular band because they were from the Purple Rain era, but this was not his most talented band.
I agree, The Rev was the band that Prince captivated me with, but I also love The 1999 and Purple rain Revolutions and Counter Revolution but also think the SOTT/Lovesexy band was incredible as well. As was the brief Batman/Rave Unto The Joy Fantastic Band, which was the NPG without being designated as such AND then I also love the 1990 NPG with tip of the hat nods to Prince's first bands in his debut era through Dirty Mind AND The New Power Trio. Those are my bands 4-Ever. .::Modernaire
Wow, I'm blown away at how GREAT they sound. It's that live fusion of rock, funk, and soul wrapped up in an melody. Translation: The Revolution still kicks everybody's ass!
Leandro Snm The moment Wendy started playing...my heart just DROPPED...all over again. I am DEEPLY wounded by the loss of HIM...and I know I will never fully recover....and I accept that. But GOT DAMMIT....it is HARD. Glad the Revolution is keeping it going. The best band to ever walk this earth in my opinion. The TIME was 2nd of course. :-)
My god they're amazing!.... Would have been great to see where Prince could have gone musically if they'd stayed together. Purple Rain is an absolute master piece, film/album. The sound, the song structures and the ingredients....
Excuse my language! Got let this out,,, Whew Hoo!!! The Revolution fucking ROCKS and U can hear the Spirit of Prince there FOR SURE!!! I luv U Revolution!!! Rock in Peace, Prince!!! 💋💜🎵💋💜🎵
Prince, always been asked what is his favorite song that he has created and he replied the next one ☝🏼 I believe that he has surpassed his favorite song ☂️
to whomever made the Stone City Band reference - I get it. I was a hard core Rick James fan too. But Prince was Prince, and Rick was Rick. Rick mentioned Prince in his memoir - Confessions of a Super Freak. SCB was soulful, the Revolution was more rock. Both great bands, both very talented. I'm glad we had them both to enjoy. Love the Computer Blue tribute in this vid - sounds really authentic. They didn't miss a beat!
That was amazing!! Heartfelt with true Prince style - Revolution is the Original .....NPG amazing too, lets face it together they were pure magic.....legacy lives on
Oh wow,,, I liked this band alllll my life and that sound here is as good as it was when they did it with Prince, God bless the purple one. The revolution is the best I’ve ever heard of any band out there. I hope they keep it going and going and going and going and going. Love them
not for nothing but I hope they do this for more than one run- it was so wonderful to finally be at a proper tribute - I've been carrying that around for a year and this really helped give me some closure - now that I have it I can't stop thinking about how much fun I used to have at their shows back in the day. I never got sick of it ever. I'd go see them a hundred more times.
They were never in his shadow. Prince shone so brightly that The Revolution basked in his light with his reflected genius. Full disclosure I have always loved Wendy and Lisa.
Wendy was so cute back in the day her and Lisa both. Still rocking after all these years... wow.. do it for Prince y'all..💖.. may he rest in peace💖💖💖💖💯
THIS ROCKED MY SOCKS OFF! The Revolution plays fantastic! Totally hot! Brownmark's bass on America is pumpin'! America is Prince's most patriotic conservative right wing song ever! Don't let anyone tell you otherwise! Dr. Fink's solo and those Fink-faces he makes are superb!I LOVE Wendy's white semi hallow Gibson! Reminds me of the guitar she played during the '87 Wendy & Lisa debut era. Brownmark handles the main vocals great! So touching to see them channel Prince's energy. Great video quality and recording and thank you for sharing these videos! .::Modernaire
Always loved Lisa playing. Also think The Revolution was 'the Band' that made Prince enjoyable to the world at large. For those who remember the 80's P&The Rev,was a band that even 'rockers' could appreciate in a time where people gathered around genres and styles. And Prince was a great guitarist too.
Once you hear the Linn Drum sound you know it’s a Prince show! He owned that drum sound practically. They sound great! This band is still Hot! Amazing! He ran a tight ship and they remembered everything. After all this time they play tighter than a Drum! Unreal!
great job Lisa, holding those guitar parts down. Hard bill to fill and she handled it well. I remember Prince sayin somewhere if you want to be a great solo player, learn to be a great rhythm player. And Lisa is a great rhythm player. Keep it up kid, you're doing swell.
Poignant moment No 5, the call and response in Computer Blue two howling guitars - Prince and Wendy, sadly now only Wendy... there's a gap where Prince should be... they didn't fill it or even try... it broke my heart... I cried... A time gone by A ghost in the machine In heavan now I love you guys! PEACENLOVE!
I definitely don't see this particular group as cashing in on Prince's death, like many others are. These guys were his friends and the real deal, they are doing it for the fans and they rock! It would be even better to see all of Prince's best bandmates get together for an ultimate tribute, The Revolution, Dez Dickerson, the Sign O' The Times/Lovesexy band, and the NPG!!!
Wendy is so underrated on her guitar playing. Now that she’s playing Prince’s leads, I hope she gets her well deserved credit.
She's amazing!
@@VioletFlameMusic She looks musty too!
I agree.....Wendy's a bad b1tch on that guitar!
She's amazing and so Lisa
The Revolution will always be Prince best band.
Terrance Gamble so TRU!!!

They were all pretty good musicians and this may have been Prince's most popular band because they were from the Purple Rain era, but this was not his most talented band.

edfou5 Dude, I swear you’re not alone. It hit me like a brick that The Kid is gone and I didnt think it would happen again after almost 2 years.
I remember playing this song over and over until my record scratched..love the Revolution! !!
Nope
No disrespect to the NPG or NPS, but I'm a Revolution dude.
Where it all started from
I love ALLL of them but the Revolution is my introduction to PRINCE's legacy....timeless fan FOR LIFE
I'm with you man they ROCK......greetings from Houston!!
Htown4life nawfside So am I.
I did not like Prince jammin' with other band except the Revolution.
You know it.
Wendy! That guitar girl!! No wonder Prince hung with you!
Wendy was killing that solo and bass player holding the bass and singing is amazing.
That would be Brown Mark playing bass.
Still tight as hell!!! and Brown Mark on lead vocals....OMG
But prince made the world rock when he was in the revolution and now it will never be the same without him r. I. P. Prince
Somebody has to step up and sing! Might as well be him.
Not as hell my brother man.. as Heaven boss. All Praise to God. 🙏
My man mark is the only one who can get away with singing for prince. he got his own soul for it to do revolution some justice still
Revolution will always have a special place in my heart...don't sleep on Lisa 😉
Wow, I'm blown away at how GREAT they sound. It's that live fusion of rock, funk, and soul wrapped up in an melody. Translation: The Revolution still kicks everybody's ass!
Wendy is a bad ass plain and simple as is the rest of this awesome group of merry men and women keeping the music alive....

Leandro Snm The moment Wendy started playing...my heart just DROPPED...all over again. I am DEEPLY wounded by the loss of HIM...and I know I will never fully recover....and I accept that. YES LISA
Love me some Wendy
I wish I could leave a thousand likes. They're just as good as they ever were, I'm in awe.
My god they're amazing!.... Would have been great to see where Prince could have gone musically if they'd stayed together. Purple Rain is an absolute master piece, film/album. The sound, the song structures and the ingredients....
If only he had been there. But I'm sure he was, in spirit. Probably sitting in the back admiring the show. Rest In Peace, Prince.
Still has Prince's lyrics in the background. Wish we could just hear Brown Mark on this one. Still, as awesome as it can be!!! Man was a genius.
Dennis Gusty I noticed that too!
Wendy changed my life!!! I'm really crying watching this.
Wow! This are what real musicians sound like! No wonder prince handpicked them!😁👍
Excuse my language! Got let this out,,, Whew Hoo!!! The Revolution fucking ROCKS and U can hear the Spirit of Prince there FOR SURE!!! I luv U Revolution!!! Rock in Peace, Prince!!! 💋💜🎵💋💜🎵

It really is. It loops in my dreams. Those dueling lead guitars are pure MAGIC.
The Revolution💜🎶💜🎶💜🎶💜🎶💜🎶
Revolution making it look too easy! What a band at such an incredible time in pop music. Wendy got them solos down. This was nice!!!!🔥🔥❤️❤️
Saw them last night! Beautiful! I'm doing a full review of the show on my channel once my voice returns lol
I’m glad these guys got a chance to come out from the shadow of Price and show off their enormous talents.
They were never in his shadow. Prince shone so brightly that The Revolution basked in his light with his reflected genius. Full disclosure I have always loved Wendy and Lisa.

They are good.
The Revolution is, all was have been, the truth! The Doctor and Lisa broke up the vintage synths! OMG!
Amazing, traveling back in time!
Wendy is killing the guitar
So Great!
I wish they would come to Springfield, MO
The Revolution is Prince's one and only band as far as I'm concerned!
Wendy kills it. I didnt know she could play the lead like that!
She plays lead for all the Wendy and Lisa albums, plus did bass, drums for some songs on there as well. Wendy is talented asf
Great performance :)

Lisa Colman plays ketboards. Wendy is on the guitar.
You meant well though. 😅
Shucks .. you’re right. Thanks for the correction.
Bummer .. my purple veterans card is now revoked. ‘Do not pass go’
