The book Fourth and Long by John U Bacon talks about discussions between O’Brien and team captains and seniors about whether they could even field a team that fall. Many players talk about their phones blowing with other schools trying to poach them. The “2012” on the suites is IMO the most important year on that wall. It’s ironic because it’s the only one that has nothing to do with wins or championships. It is there to say the thank you to every one who stayed with Penn State when they could have so easily left.
On the contrary, it is the most important win of all!
Speaks volumes on the character of those that stayed.

When Miami and Nebraska joined their new conferences, they both lost that zip they had. lot of passion went away.Miami also got in trouble at least once, but your right , they are not scary anymore..Both missed in hiring coaches as well. I used to love hating on Miami.

Highly successful in business, happily married, the emptiness remains. Its difficult not to play the victim nor blame anyone for not reacting to my cry for help. I'm blessed that I take two steps forward every time I take one step back. Finding God has helped me tremendously.
Three years ago I found that teacher on FB. He sent me a "friend request" which I complied. One day I took a huge step back when I outed him. Instead of forgiving that sick bastard I reminded him of the shame and torment he bestowed upon me. I was a victim all over again. My mentor asked me when I was going to drop the rock. I yelled "IT'S MY FKN ROCK!" However once I dropped it and learned that arduous practice of forgiveness only then could i feel free.

I was 6 when Joe Pa retired and I remember always going to Penn State to watch football and wrestling . I will always be disappointed in how the media portrayed Joe Pa as the reason of the scandal I believe that all Penn State fans can disagree and say it was sanduskys problem
He knew it was happening as early as the 70s and didn't stop it. The portrayal is anything less than ridiculous

Missed a big part of the story in Christian Hackenberg. That young man had the world in his hands coming out of high school, stuck with the program despite the sanctions, and kept the ship afloat. His decision helped save the program but possibly ruined his own career.

Ah, this made me cry. My grandmother lived 3 blocks from Joepa so we would see him on his morning walks. I even tried to sell them Girl Scout cookies once but they weren't home. BTW, I was at that Rose Bowl game. Crushing but exciting at the same time. Heading to the App State/Penn State opener next weekend - can't wait!
