The current MM already works like that regarding light and mediums.
From the MM FAQ on the website: "the matchmaker considers light and medium tanks to be the same type and strives to make the ratio of light and medium tanks, as well as other vehicles, the same for both teams"
Key word there is "strives". We still see mm match lower tiered vehicles against higher tiered ones.
I get that this is something the game is trying to counteract but it doesn't do it well at times.

From my experience it still created quite a few matches with uneven light and mediums, so I'd like to see it being hard locked to exact equal amounts if it isn't already now. Obvs queue times need to be as low as possible and while its great that they are considered the same, having the same amount is even more important imo.
the problem with this, is that it doesnt consider that a t9 batchat against 2 tier 10 mediums isn't a fair match, but it still does it

The new MM sucks and the old MM sucks. All premiums will be converted to collectors eventually (they can now nerf them if they please), and WG is getting more and more greedy. It's like they are on a mission to kill this game.
seems like it took everyone long enough to figure this out. I saw right through it back during update 5.5 when they removed a bunch of low tiers and nerfed literally all the rest under the guise of making the game "more balanced"

Marti you miss the big point on vehicle repurchasing argument. Players already pay high amount of golds when purchasing tanks. For example, I purchased Obj 777 VII bundle for 25K golds, that means I've lost 17.5K golds directly. I can get only 7.5k golds if I decide to sell Obj 777 VII. We already pay a huge penalty at the first place. And the players must be free with what to do what's left of their in-game currency. Besides, there is no free stuff involved here, players had to pay the same amount when recovering their sold tanks.
Players selling their collector tanks for gold to gamble with crates are not abusing the 'system'
Thats the only positive reason it could have to increase the re-purchase price, so people buy less crates lmao

I would love to see them limit the number of TDs per match. Getting in to a match with 3 tds sucks when you are spotted then insta nuked by 3 183s sitting in spawn.

Premiums going to collectors are nice, but what isn't nice is what comes with it.
They nerfed the gold income for selling the collectors, making the strat to sell these tanks to get gold obsolete. It's another move to further reinforce the idea (if it isn't blatant already) that WeeGee won't even give a good way to get plenty gold WITHOUT buying from their stores.

I went from a mediocre 48% to a less mediocre 51% (past 60 days vs current 30) with the revised matchmaker. I found the matches were balanced, the groups I was teamed with were in my skill range and nobody incessantly whined or complained. Now that the old MM is back, all I see is "F'N Noobs" spammed in chat, 60% players are lamenting their hellish predicaments, and I just finished a Tier 9 match where my entire team evaporated and I was a 1 v 7 last survivor. Ah, so great to have the Matchmaker back

I still don’t understand why some are becoming collector and others are staying premium?

Everyone forgets one key rule with matchmaking: rules are loosened if matchmaking takes too long! This includes the skilled addition in the previous update, and type composition. So much whinging because a 60% player saw a 45% on his team. No! You need to look at all players, and compare to the previous version. Did anyone do that? No!
Mostly, the resentment of the new matchmaking was skilled players now facing more skilled players than previously, which obviously would reduce win rates. You can't all be 60% if you constantly faced each other! So we learned from this exercise that beating up weaker players to maintain win rate is more important than a competitive game. So how long do we revert to whinging about weak players in higher tiers? Oh, I give it 5 minutes. 😂
For WG, the solution we need is balanced matchmaking. So teams of players with corresponding skill levels, not teams of similar skill. Nothing wrong with two 45% players on a team if the enemy has two. The problem is when it's 4 vs 1, and this sequence lasts for many battles. This is the rigged mode, or preferential mode to WG, which should be eradicated or only last 3 battles before switching you as a beneficiary, not lasting an entire session only for a good run a day or so later.

Let's tell it how it really is. MLB players don't play against Little Leaguers., NFL players don't play against Pop Warner, NBA players don't play against high school ballers. In WOTB, high WR play as seal clubbers to lower WR and then continually brag about their WR. If they had to compete with WOTB players of their own level their precious WR would go down. Go watch Tier 5 and 6 games with teams of seal clubbers who have 20-30k battles playing on teams and farming WR. This is the real reason they hate skill based matchmaking. Because it threatens their seal clubbing illusions about how good they are. They do not want real skills based competition and lower WRs. This is also why lower WR players who spend a lot of $$$ on WOTB leave the game. Long runs of ten or more 7-2, 7-0 games is not real competition, This is why lower WR players had more fun. Now WOTB is back to seal clubbing. Bye! Bye!

Surprised no one is bothered about all these premium tanks becoming collectors. Now that WG can balance any collector any which they want I can’t understand really if its really an advantage in buying any collector tank.

The changeover to all collector tanks along with the ridiculous buy back charge is nothing more than WG trying to squeeze more real money out of the players. It’s clear that they are losing real money on the game. Look at how much gambling has increased in the store recently. They have been losing money ever since the dumped the Russian server.
They put more and more pressure on us, knowing that we cannot defend ourselves, except by buying nothing. We abuse what, it is our money that we spend to have gold, they are without embarrassment all the same. The matchmaking from before, no doubt they are lacking sensations... wargaming is in conflict with a lot of people, they have an excellent game, but if they let us down a little, we would be more calm...
Well, I am going to be able to sell crappy tanks that were given for free like dickermax, pawlaktank etc against gold. Am happy with that

We need to boycott the entire store. No purchasing anything until they learn their god damn lesson. It's necessary, but sadly I doubt the community can pull it off.

The crap MM has been replace by the previous crap MM, Yeah ! Whats ridiculous is those stupid misleading stats. About the collectors buy back price, personnally i have no issues with that. That won't make me spend more $ in this game. It was more like a flaw in the game and WG correct it. I never ever sold a collector tank to gamble on crates. When i sell it, its because i don't play\like it. Gold has value IN the game environment. It's a game currency. Unfortunately for them, WG can't really pay their servers and employees with in game gold tho. Now if WG starts to nerf or buff collector tanks just to change the op flavour of the month in hope to get more sells, then i will most probably stop playing this game. Which i'm already on the verge to do. The real question is: Is this game really free to play? p2w? i guess thats for everyone to answer for themselves.
P.S. Why oh why modify the progetto 46 legendary camo with a reheat BC 25T camo feature. Who the hell at WG had that $#%?%#% idea. It was perfect as it was....These people really are monkeys
There was a time when you had to request a buy back. So that's improved.
But I fully agree as I was mortgaging my collectors for gold, which would be an incentive to buy an otherwise rubbish battle pass or pack of three tier 3 collectables. Just to get the gold.
It's a pain that WG now get to have their cake and eat it by nerfing what were premium tanks.
I don't mind that buy back costs more. It's just that 100% is obscene. 50% is ok, while 30% the most fair. WG don't want tanks treated as a currency, which we all did, and so the message is: don't sell unless it's a permanent sale!
I think the switch to collector is more about gold being the value commodity, not credits. That's good for duplicates and provides a better reward if you get an undesirable tank free. Personally, all premium tanks should be worth gold, instead of this switching around. Then the difference with collector tanks is scarcity: obtain only in events, boxes and rarely direct from the shop. I doubt the switch is to update tank abilities. How often does it happen with current collector tanks?

Yes
While there's some 'sound' argument in the buyback increase, the biggest problem is the steep increase. Like, the 50% sellback of tech tree had been there from the first time the game came out so it has been the definite fact about it. Making the premium from 10% credit tax to straight twice the price is a steep jump, recipe for negative reaction among playerbase. Tbh the better way for stopping people abuse either the normal premium 'emergency credit stash' or collector gold stash system is imposing price jumps that slowly reduce back to sell price over set amount of time, like, okay, twice the price for the first week, then decaying by 5-10% (90 or 95% next week, 80 or 90% next week), so either you need to wait for 2-3 months for the price to be back to how much you sell it, or you can buy it back immediately at the price hike (which would stop the fierceness of the 'abuse' of VRT, at least for the next 2-3 months, making the player had to decide whether they want to sell their collector for the immediate tank around, potentially unable to use that tank for the next 2-3 months), or, if they really insist on increasing the buyback price, make it for a lower amount, like, 10% for collector and 15 or 20% for premium, and it would def reduce the amount of gold recirculation from VRT system (even when before patch already limits the amount of collector/premium sellable to 3 tanks per day iirc)

Why buy back a collector tank when we all know it will be in a bundle in store in a few weeks anyway, so instead of spending 12k gold to buy back the scorpion you sold,just wait and get a bundle for 7k with 30 days prem, the camo, some boosters and of course the much needed avatar. I don’t “buy back” now so I doubt this change will effect me
The new BB system is terrible for players and great for wg as usual. Your reasoning works if you just keep trading tanks in and out and when there's a new one you want you just sell one to buy one. Loved it. Calling that abuse is an insult to the fact that we bought or won them and are therefore free to do as we please

The only vehicles I didn't have were the pilot and the pharaoh. Being a google play user all I have to do is look in the google play store settings and it logs every single transaction for world of tanks blitz right there in black and white the amount, the item and a small description, I checked back to 5/5/2019. My 1st ever purchase lol.
Droodles and other YT commentators whined about the Matchmaker changes to no end. That they would somehow have to play with weak players rather than seal clubbing weak players. When the match make changed there were a lot more even battles. 7-6, 7-5. Today we are back to 7-0, 7-3 again and again and again. What YT commenters don't understand is that if they want a base of regular players to stick around, spend money on the game and watch their whiney YT videos it has to be good for the average player too. They have to have hope that there will be balanced battles and their W/R will go up as they work at improving. I left the game a month ago because of all the seal clubbing. The elites seal club at ALL levels. Groups of players with 20k battles farming at Tier 5 or 6. I came back to the game with the positive changes to matchmaker and more even battles. With WOTB caving to the whining we have gone back to only the best players having fun. They don't understand business and that it has to be fun for a larger base of customers. Immature, elitist complaining made WOTB cave on Matchmaker. Now is sucks again for the average player. Way to go guys.

The spotting system the mini map the disappearing tanks make this game so bad very unrealistic. A 60ton tank shouldn’t just disappear.maybe in the distance but when a tank comes into a certain perimeter around you it should not disappear. This sudden spawning right behind you suckssss!!! Armored aces has a much better system.
I like the buy back change, it forces people to not sell their tanks then gamble the gold on some stupid boxes. Hopefully it tanks their revenue somewhat so that they become a proper game developer not a predator.
