We lived in nearby Opera for 18 months and went to see the certosa many times. However, we were not allowed by the monks to take pictures inside the church and so we brought no pictures of it back to the United States, where I have shown thousands of people the beauties of Italy, but no certosa. It is sad they had that rule then. I hope they have since repented and are allowing tourists to take pictures inside.
