This and GT7 is basically why I bought a PSVR2. I'm unimpressed at the amount of titles Sony has for the VR2, but I know this is a niche market.
No man's sky is also unreal in psvr. But I do agree there isn't many games to play that are psvr games.
How is it on GT7 ?? I’m debating on whether it’s worth it or not.

@@1Capnjazz when playing I would recommend fine tuning the settings appropriately. I like to turn the brightness down on the vr because it's really easy to forget to blink when racing. Also if you get off set in cockpit just hit the bottom right button on the headset twice and you will reset. (Only ever gets offset if your looking the wrong direction before the race starts. Will never happen other than that)

@@trainingdays i know, cuz rn we have the hori one and the thrustmaster one, but both are kinda low quality. I want one that is like mid to high tier in terms of flight sticks for the ps5
Already confirmed HOTAS will work for this.
If it is well done, then I think the player base will grow and the game itself too. Would be great if this grows to something like Warthunder but for VR.
Sounds and looks very cool, but I'm not holding my breath for release. We'll see.
As a long time sim player (PC VR) I like they are finally giving SB some attention. although I'm worried this might draw away a lot of players of War Thunder sim. Unfortunately the player base of WT SB is already limited, this can thin it out even more.
I haven't flown out in a long time, lets at least hope the bring over the game modes to WT. That might draw me back.
Oh man, I can't wait to play this game!! Probably my most anticipated release of the year (hopefully 2024). It's a shame the Thrustmaster T-Flight HOTAS is notoriously unreliable. I bought one when Star Wars Squadrons came out on PS4, VR 1, and it began to exhibit the well known drift after less than 20 hours of use. There are apparently workarounds using contact cleaner, which I'd be happy to try, but at the time I had to buy it for like twice the price as demand was high and availability was low, so I wasn't willing to risk it. Maybe something better will come along if this game does well. I hope it does!!
Bought the whole T-Flight series and i find myself having to regularly clean the potentionmeter of the throttle because it often start to tweak and the rudder, god they are awful, but for such a low price it get the job done
i've wanted a historical vtol vr type thing for so long now and this looks like it'll actually hit that itch, old WT never had interactable cockpits so it didn't work. Only thing is i hope it's coming to other platforms cause i'm not about to buy a playstation for it
Hmm, don't like the idea of online multiplayer only. Offering a single player option wouldn't 'split the pack'. Multiplayer only would simply "split" single player gamers off buying it in the first place, resulting in a smaller pack.

Could be a Hawker Tempest possibly a Mk V 🤔. Invasion stripes would make it later than the earlier mentioned Typhoon.
I hope they also support PC. I'm PS5 player but PC would give us a bigger playerbase.

It’s a $550 investment. No Mans Sky is worth that price alone. Not to mention Resident Evil 4 and 8 which is hands down the best gaming experience I’ve ever had in my 45 year life span. GT7 is the best simulation experience I have ever had. Pavlov is the best PVP shooting experience I’ve ever had. And there’s so much more. All for only $550? It’s a no brainer. Anyone can save $550 man.

@@devlintaylor9520 Well I’m not a person who spends all his time and money buying and playing games. I have a life. For me, yes. It’s the best sim experience I have ever had. For you? Obviously you’ve had better because you spend all your time and money playing video games.
I’m looking g forward to this game more than I am GTA6. Just give us a flight sim already! Year and half after PSVR2 release and not one flight sim. Unless you count NMS which is by far the best game ever. But no earth bound flying yet.
Ultra wings 2 is actually pretty good with the hotas
Making it exclusive to PSVR is stupid. They’re doing a lot of work for the smallest portion of the VR playerbase. Granted, the PC players using VR are already playing War Thunder sim and wouldn’t likely enjoy the idea of buying a whole new game so they can play a very select group of aircraft in higher fidelity. But still…
I hope at least some of the work they put into this gets to War Thunder sim eventually. If nothing else, then the work they put into making interesting multiplayer modes. War Thunder has gotten so incredibly stale over the years because they refuse to do anything other than throw in new vehicles and weapon systems.
They need to update the actual gameplay and modes more than anything.
Im afraid this will end up being a glorified tech demo and will be abandoned

Looks cool, I hope really they won’t go the route war thunder did with like premiums and stuff like grind. It’s a sim, let people enjoy it.
2nd I hope they give the vocal/squad radio to comunicate because c’mon who doesn’t want to fly with their friends ( ps’s don’t have discord so is quite required)
So 2 things that are very good news for you; the devs have said that there will be no grind, no premiums, and that everything (except for customizable aesthetic decals and such) will be immediately unlocked upon purchase of the game. 2nd thing, PlayStation have actually received an update that support discord calls through PlayStation parties, so discord is supported. I’d recommend looking up a video on how to set that. It’s pretty straight forward but does require a few steps to activate it
i dont really understand the point of making the game psvr2 exclusive ngl, there will be HOTAS support, so no need to make a new system for people to be able to click cockpits, just make it like IL2 does it. The game will most likely use the same DAGOR engine as this is a gaijin game after all. And as this game will be on the same engine (most prob), there wouldn`t be a problem to make a headtracking system aswell, not to mention that a lot of war thunder sim players use VR
Simple, dont want to loose revenue on PC by splitting war thunder''s player base since this title looks like to be a traditional sim without grind and therefore revenue generation from premium stuff.

Another thing that makes me very confused is that the VR controller can indeed perform cockpit interaction and flight control, but this is a propeller plane! You can't even take off without a rudder! Do VR gamepad players have to buy a TFRP foot rudder? Now there are only two possibilities, 1. This game is first person with warthunder AirRB flight control, players don't have to worry about torque and tailspin 2. The production team figured out how to control the foot rudder through the VR controller, but it was definitely uncomfortable to control
In other games, like Oculus’ Warplanes VR, they control the rudder by having the player use the joystick on one of the controllers, right making it go right and then vice versa. It can be done but oh mannnn does it feel awful! Conclusion: possible but not enjoyable/immersive

If the game is multiplayer only, what'll become of it when the number of online players reduces to pretty much zero?

This I have no doubt will could be a turning point in PSVR2s success as more simulation games are needed for point of entry gamers. It better be good…as I am starting to loose hope in Virtual reality for PlayStation.
I agree. The good games are very few and far between. But the hopeful part is the good games aren’t just good. They’re life changing great. Tell me Resident Evil or No Man’s Sky aren’t two of the best gaming experiences you’ve ever had. Or GT7 isn’t the best car racing you’ve ever played. Pavlov? Forget about it. THE best PVP VR shooter ever. Aside from all the squeakers.
@@EyeForKnowledge. I think those games are very well done, but what I am looking for in this new Aces game is the attention to detail, just like the pc version of the game. I want the console to be just as, if not more so, capable of running a high end VR games that don’t forget about all the little details…. so that everyone can say wait I would rather play this on a console than the pc. Either way very excited to fly which a ton of players online with a Hotas setup and a fan flipped too high.
@@clevafeatha I’m pretty sure that’s what’s taking so long for release. The trailer got 1 million views in the first day. I think they see that people really want a great flight sim and are going to do it right. They have the potential to be the sole provider of flight simming on PSVR if they make the first game epic. Then they can make downloadable content, maps, terrain add ons, and then another game with jet fighters or maybe even a regular flight simulator with GA aircraft. Sky is the limit and I hope they understand that.

V.disappointed if there is no single player. Who wants to waste time in a lobby or being shot to pieces when you can be playing happily in the cockpit flying at your own leisure.
I think the reason why war thunder campaigns are so bad is cuz the pulled them out from birds of steel.

to be honest, I'm not optimistic about the sales of this game on PS5. The problem is that the game is not a flying shooter game like Project Wingman this is a flight simulation. There are fewer PSVR2 players and even fewer who actually have the ability and knowledge to play flight simulation game. Also, a lot of people get dizzy playing GT7, not to mention flying fighter in intense dog fights. I'm rather pessimistic about the number of long-term players in its PVP mode.
This does indeed worry me too, but all we can do is hope 🤞
So instead let’s stick to more zombie shooters or jump scare horror games. That’ll really draw in the crowds. 😂.
There is a huge market of flight sim enthusiasts out there. Entire companies dedicated to making add ons for flight simulator. Scenery, texture, weather, planes etc. With the announcement of Microsoft making their games available to PS5, I believe if they gave us MSFS on PSVR2, all those people who can’t afford a 4K gaming rig will buy the PSVR2 just for that game alone. And that would really increase the sales of this wonderful headset.
The potential is there. As anyone who has played Resident Evil or GT7, Pavlov or MY GOD, No Man’s Sky. Thing is an absolute banger.
If this doesn’t come to PC, it would be the biggest mistake.
it sounds bad on paper but honestly, i get motion sick from euro truck simulator but have never had any problems with war thunder or il-2 in VR. I think the vehicle being stationary and comparative lack of reference points in the sky actually make it a lot better in intense dogfights than in a racing game

I probably wont buy this . Even though ive played this game for 3 years . And ive been waiting for a mode that would work with psvr2 . And ive also put money into the game. If the biggest problem is the psvr hand controls. Then just make it another game mode that you need hotus for . That would be doing the same thing . Unless every plane that's in the game is in aces of thunder at release. And as a current player im credited for what ive unlocked . Because im not starting over. I just look at this as a money grab. Thats screwing over over the current PS players . That have played the game for years . And i agree this will probobly fail as a stand alone game if its dependent on just psvr players . Because thats a very small amount of the maket . They would be better off targeting there existing player base.
