Love the waterfall...I could sit and listen to the water all day...so many beautiful views..stunning pictures...enjoyed very much Alan...take care and be safe always
This is what I need to to for exercise is take up hiking and going into the country side! Absolutely beautiful! Love it there! I would love to go to see that in person! Gorgeous views!
Awesome hike that Al and the quality of the vid is something else.....one of the best I've seen on the tube, well done really enjoyed it looking forward to the next one...cheers Mike
Thanks very much for watching Mike and your very kind words, which I really appreciate buddy. I git lucky with the weather, as soon as I left the top, it all closed in. Take care buddy, cheers Alan
Hi Alan, that's a great hike up Scafell Pike, well done for doing it alone, especially on little sleep! We did Scafell Pike way back in 2008 and I remember it too being very "scrambly" to hike especially near the end! We've recently come back from the Lakes having staying in Ullswater, looking forward to sharing our hikes in coming weeks! Cheers, Simon😎👍
Thanks very much for watching Simon and it was a 16 hour day from getting up, till getting back in the house but I loved it. Looking forward to your lake land videos, cheers Alan
An excursion with really great moments, Alan! an impressive climb ... the views from the summit are spectacular it was nice to observe such a wonderful nature. Thank you for taking us along on your journey! 👌 👍105👌🥀🌷 ♫. Big hugs, Patrizia ♡♡♡
Wow! what a beauty, what a landscape, what a way to get in touch with nature . Congratulations on giving you moments like this friend. Thanks for sharing😀👍
Outstanding Alan! The things we do to avoid the crowds...LOL Amazingly beautiful!! At the summit you found the crowd ...LOL Awesome summit and video Alan!
Good to see you out again. Awesome hike up the rugged rocks pretty cool. Those views from those high points were pretty awesome. Take care and see you in the next one 👍😃
Thanks, you too, really appreciate you stopping by and I have been on holiday for two weeks so been real busy but back to normal tomorrow , cheers Alan
That looked like a proper solo adventure. Loved the atmospheric shots as you were coming down with the mist drifting across those views. Can't believe that you've not been up Skiddaw yet. You are on course for doing England's 3,000ers... get Skiddaw and Crossfell done and you will have completed all four of England's P600s. Take care. Alice
My Skiddaw view had just gone up today lol. I really enjoyed this day mind, it was 16 hours from getting up, till getting home but I enjoyed every second was was still buzzing trying to get to sleep on the night lol. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
Glad you enjoyed it Gaz and real good of you to watch and comment, this was a long 16 hour day from getting up to getting home but I enjoyed every second of it, cheers Alan
Wow! such beautiful scenery and trails! loved the greenish mountain footage, all your photos and especially at 16:40 views with music! so awesome Allen!
Hiya, Alan. This one appeared on my timeline when I was having me tea! Cracking video, and a long day for you. I've climbed Scafell Pike many times, but never gone up the Mickledore path yet. You got some really nice photos as well. Take care.
Yes, a real long day with 6.5 hours driving on top of the climbing. Only ever going up Mickledore as the straight up and down looks very boring. I really must try the route from Seathwaite Farm next time. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
Oh the memories are flooding back! We started in Wasdale too and I remember the drive to the carpark being a very narrow but beautiful road. The crossing at 1:23 was tricky when we did it (in March) and I have a photo of my Englishman walking up the hill to see if there was a better spot, but in the end .... thanks to my poles.... we made it with almost dry feet LOL. We had snow at the top so it was a challenge to find the route (the normal one as we didn't feel Mickeldore would have been safe in the snow). As you mentioned, it is a bit bouldery getting to the top and that was difficult as one never knew what was hiding under the snow. But that looks like a very exciting yet exhausting route with all the scree. Well done Alan .. also on the early wake up LOL!! And you are right, film never can convey the beautiful of it in real life! Glad the weather held up for you but the clouds on the way down looked very mystical. Thanks for sharing and Cheers :)))
Glad it brought back good memories for you and it must have been very magical on the summit in the snow for you. It was a 16 hour day, from getting up, till getting back in the house but I was still buzzing and unable to get to sleep on the evening lol. Thanks very much for stopping by, cheers Alan
Well that brought back a lot of memories. It is many a year since I did Scafell Pike via Mickledore. My normal route is from the ODG, longer walking but not as far to drive, in fact, you can, if you get a bit of a move on, do it by bus! I do remember watching Jos Naylor run up and down it, I seem to remember it was on Channel 4, and they also mentioned it on Terry Abraham's 'Life of a Mountain'. He ran up from close to the car park, and back down again, in 47 minutes! I think I'm like you Alan, I enjoy the slower pace, plenty of stops to admire the stunning view. Thoroughly enjoyed sharing the journey via your video. Take care and stay safe. Thankyou - Eric.
Thanks very much for watching Eric and such a great comment. Now he was a proper boy,, running up and down and in 47 minutes, mind blowing. Unless camping over there, I will most likely never climb from that side again but wanted to do Mickledore by myself and really enjoy it, which I did. Take care buddy, cheers Alan
Looks like the perfect day for it 😁 the sky is just so gorgeous! Wow that’s a very early wake up 😅 Awww I hate getting wet feet puts a damper on things 😂 Some beautiful sights looks like a magical valley 😍🏞🌄 Oooh what a scramble 😬 Nice dramatic music haha 😁 Great snaps from the top 😊 Love your banter all the way through 😅 Wow never seen mist quite like that 🤗
I had such a fun day and despite it being 16 hours from getting up till getting home, I was still buzzing and could not sleep when I eventually got to bed. I was real pleased to be going down when the mist rolled in but felt sorry for the people still plodding upwards. Thanks you so much for Claire, its real nice of you and I always appreciate it, cheers Alan
Hi Alan, we both watched this last night. Looks like you had a great day. Love the views from the summit, I will have to try that route up sometime, it looks really good. Great stuff! Cheers. Eddie.
It's the best route up from that side Eddie, to be honest, the popular route is just a slog straight up, with hundreds of people. Thanks very much for watching, take care both, cheers Alan
You should, you would really enjoy it but pick a clear day, as the views are superb from the summit. I had intended to do Ben Nevis for a 4th time and Snowdon for a second time this year but due to this virus, had to put the other two on hold. Thanks very much for watching, real good of you and very much appreciated, cheers Alan
Brilliant video Alan and great to see Mickledore - I love it. You’re going at it at the moment matey, Helvellyn, Scafell Pike and on fb, looks like you’ve just done Skiddaw too. Wow 😊. Never ever have “a last time” buddy 😁👍🏻
Absolutely, been on holiday and getting a new car on Tuesday, so banging the mileage on my old one lol. Thanks very much for watching Stu, always appreciated, cheers Alan
I hope so too, it's a real good achievement which ever way you do it and I would only say one thing, go early, when I was coming down it was like a bus route going up. Take care and thanks for watching, cheers Alan
It was a 16 hour trip from getting up, till I got back home but I enjoyed every minute of it, even when it rained lol. Thanks very much for stopping by, really appreciate it, cheers Alan
Real nice of you to stop by and comment, appreciate it. I got lucky with the weather, as soon as I left the top, it all closed in. Take care, cheers Alan
That's real good of you and very much appreciated. It was so nice to get out again, especially on a rare sunny November day but shame about the lockdown the next day. Take care, cheers Alan
Well Done Alan that was a great hike although I don't envy you on the scree path...think if I do it I'll take the popular path. Gorgeous views and well worth stopping for a few breaks to enjoy them.ATB Ana
The scree path is tough but it benefits from being almost deserted compared to the tourist route up and I like a bit of a change too. The last time I did this route was with 3 friends so I wanted to give it a solo go and real pleased I manged it. Real good of you to watch and comment, cheers Alan
I love this one so much! Those falls are amazing! The look at the lake, gorgeous! I hope you get to camp the trust, that’d make an awesome video. The scrambles we’re so fun! It was cool to see it on the map. And the grasses are so green. I need a stick too, helps steady. Then the summit... and those stellar views💜💜💜
A long day but a great day, I loved every minute of it, even when it rained lol. Real good of you to stop by and comment, I really appreciate it, take care, cheers Alan
Thanks very much for watching and real pleased that after Helvellyn last week and Scafell this week, my knee feels great (thank goodness). Definitely a better route up , so much fun and nice and quiet as well, that part of the walk, I had all to my self. Take care all, cheers Alan
Glad you had the views at the top Alan it makes the day. I think I saw a glimpse of the lords rake at 819 in the top left hand corner, it’s a vertical channel. It’s like an illusion that you can’t see until you know it’s there, It’s very challenging but an incredible cut threw to Scafell well worth the effort. What a great day out, hope you had a cider to celebrate. Regards.
I did when I got home , which was 16 hours after I got up lol. I will have to look into Lords Rake more carefully, heard a lot about it. Thanks for watching and I hope you are well, cheers Alan
Well done Alan! Very envious, not sure if you saw my version of exactly this route - but you had considerably better weather than I did!! Good for you for getting up so early and getting up there... I know you said you were buzzing, but I bet you were knackered by the time you got home!! Well worth it though - Brilliant! All the best - Adam
It was 16 hours Adam, from getting up and then getting home. Funny thing is, I could not get to sleep when I eventually got to bed lol. I will have a look for that video Adam, as I do not remember it. Appreciate you watching and taking the time to comment, take care buddy, cheers Alan
Well done and brilliant VLog Alan. We stayed at the NT Campsite (booked a few weeks ago when restrictions first lifted) and by the sound of it set off about an hour behind you, same route ascending Mickledore. I just noticed when you was on the summit, the guy with the Parsons Jack Russell met us at the top of Mickledore and was going to climb down it. But the clouds rolled in so he returned to the normal route
Wow, thats funny, as he took the summit photo of me and he was asking about my route up. I hope you got some clear views on the summit, as it started to deterioate when I set off down. Thanks very much for watching and commenting, real good of you. Enjoy the rest of your camping, cheers Alan
Quite impressive the fact you just drove 3 hours and hiked the tallest peak in England! You did a really good job filming this hike in its entirety. So beautiful in the beginning with the water coming down the mountain and the Lake in the background. When you were going up toward the sunlight it looked like you were going straight to heaven! Definitely a beautiful hike and everything looked awesome even when the clouds rolled in! Thanks for sharing your adventure Alan!
Appreciate you stopping by Eric and it was a tough call getting up and over there so early but I was running on adrenaline all day, really enjoyed it though. Cheers Alan
Beautiful hike, Alan! I almost felt your pain with that killer of a scree hike up to the summit. Well done! Glad to see you enjoying your time out in the hills and soaking it all in! Cheers, Mari
Thanks Mari, it was one long day, but such an awesome one, was was still buzzing hours after I got home. Real good of you to stop by and comment, thank you so much, appreciate it. Take care, cheers Alan
That was a great hike Alan! It must be hard to climb up with those loose rocks and not to mention the dark clouds covering you guys. It’s worth it though , the view from the summit is spectacular!
Thank you very much for watching and taking the time to comment, very much appreciated and it is such a special place, especially when you get a clear view at the summit, cheers Alan
Definitely picked the right route up ‐ it was a motorway on the down ‐ well worth the early start! Cracking images as always, loved seeing the weather closing in ‐ Cheers Alan ‐ T 🙂
Ah what a great vlog! Great you got to do that walk on what was my 50th birthday too - brilliant!. Off up there in August, just not too sure yet what routes to take. Cheers
Thank you very much for watching and taking the time to comment, real good of you and very much appreciated. Fingers crossed you get good weather and I think the route from Wastwater is the easiest to follow, as it is a straight up from the car park, a well defined path although, I took the detour up Mickledore just for the additional adventure but I could have just stuck to the main path, which was the way I came down. Good luck, cheers Alan
@@AlanMETALMAN Thanks for your reply. Ill bare your advice in mind, especially as my kids aged 10 & 12 will be with me so need to make it as interesting as well as enjoyable as possible. Scafell Pike is the last of the "Three Peaks' we need to bag before choosing some more enjoyable strolls on offer. Take care
Just came across this video, i actually remember seeing you & going past just over the bridge heading up.. Weather was lovely when i hit the summit I went the traditional route as it was my first time up
Thanks very much for watching Rob and what a cracking day it was. I got lucky on the summit too and it was only after I left that the weather turn a bit. Second time I had been up via Mickledore and I can really recommend it, if you go up again. Take care buddy and I appreciate you taking the time to comment, cheers Alan
Brilliant vid Alan. I'm a bit of a stranger to Cumbria, but hoping to put that right once the lockdowns are behind us. Researching for a trip up Scafell Pike and your vid came up 😁 Might try the popular route for my first go though! All the best👍
The good thing with the popular route from Wastwater is you cannot get lost, just follow the path up and there will be so many people going the same way too. As I remember I set off at 07.00 and there were still quite a few people on the trail then. Thanks very much for watching Des, cheers Alan
I was real lucky at the top, as 5 minutes after I left it, the mist rolled in and it started to rain, I felt real sorry for the people I was passing when I was going down and they were still on the way up. Real good of you to stop by and take the time to comment, very much appreciated, cheers Alan
That was a superb hike Alan and the views definitely did not disappoint. Haha I feel you brother, the last three times I summited our Guadalupe Peak here in Texas I said this may be my last time. I somehow made it back and for me it had definitely become an emotional thing reaching the summit. Great video! Atb, Tony
Thanks very much for watching Tony and your great comment, really appreciate it. When you are young, you think you can do these climbs for ever, but when you are older, I always think, this could be my last one, so I always try and savor every second. Take care buddy, cheers Alan
Thanks Linda, real nice of you to watch and take the time to comment, very much appreciated. I hit on lucky with the weather, just as I left the top, it all closed in, so real pleased to get some great views. Take care, cheers Alan
I'm heading up to scafell pike this weekend coming; with the eldest in tow - been a little over 10 years since I was last up scafell pike which I did on my own and went the normal route. The boy has specifically requested some scrambling though, as he enjoyed it at snowdon last year (via watkins) and I had to do some digging around, and realised we could have a little more of a challenge going via mickledore, which is how I've ended up here on your video :) looks like a fun route, here's hoping we have some decent weather! Great vid, definitely agree with you re: going on your own, sometimes it's nice to just have the time to do things at your own pace and take it all in
The weekend is looking quiet good so here's hoping you get a great day and even better views from the summit as well. The Mickledore route will be great for you both and a lot quieter than the main path too, a small tip would be stick to the edge as you go up towards Mickledore, which is a bit easier but it is a great way to the top. Thanks very much for watching and taking the time to leave a comment, real good of you and very much appreciate! Have a great weekend hike, cheers Alan
I do not mind getting up early and it was a 3 hour drive just to get there, so others who were closer had the jump on me. Thanks very much for watching, good of you, cheers Alan
Enjoyed it Alan, funny you should mention the campsite being full. We spent absoulutly ages trying to book a campsite for next week a few days ago, never knew out like it.
Yeah, I know it's the holidays but things are crazy at the moment, so I just went for it, a long drive over and seemed an even longer one back but a real good day. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
Well done dude, hope your knees are OK after that, I like how your climb up on your own had lovely weather, and you descent amongst the masses was grey and moody... It's like the weather knew lol cheers, Atb James
After Helvellyn last week and Scafell this week, my knee feels great (thank goodness), so on a real hight about it, just hope it stays like that lol. Thanks very much for watching buddy, cheers Alan
Well done, Alan, great achievement to get up there on your own. I liked your route, I'm fond on going up and down by different paths, so your way was interesting. The crowds were a bit scary though, hard to social distance. You slept well that night! Regards, Ashley
If you go from that side Ashley, it's the best way up, more fun and less people (I saw nobody when I did it), the popular route is just a long slog, with hundreds of people, all the way to the top. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
I was so lucky with the weather, turned a bit on the way down but on the summit, I must have spent over an hour before I could drag myself away - breath-taking. Thanks very much for watching Stuart, appreciate it buddy, cheers Alan
It was a great sight to see Shirley but I was pleased I was heading down and not up lol. Thanks very much for watching and commenting Shirley, real good of you. Take care, cheers Alan
Another superb trek Alan, was well pleased when you decided to take the Mickledore route, know what you mean about ''being there'' as opposed to watching a vid.......you did elude to the fact that you would be back up there, so here is a challenge for next year.....try going from Seathwaite in Borrowdale, up through Grains Gill to Esk Hause and then across the boulder-field to the summit, then descend by the corridor route to Sty-head tarn and back to Seathwaite. Its a challenge but I reckon you can do it.......cracking vid Alan, loved it.......cheers....Stu.....👍👌
Thanks for watching Stu and the next time I go up there, that's the route I will be taking, I really enjoyed the route I took but man that drive and it felt even longer coming back lol, cheers Alan
Excellent video, Alan - great achievement! The cloud moving past is awesome to see and makes for fantastic photography opportunities which you took advantage of! I think what I'm going to have to learn when I visit the mountains is that you can't rush them; allowing plenty of time for a short distance seems to be important to take care on the routes... much rockier and steeper than Dartmoor. ATB Max.
Thanks very much for watching Max and I like to take my time, really enjoy just chilling out in the hills and taking it all in, I was lucky with the weather, it was great all the way up and on the summit, so real pleased about that. Cheers Alan
I hope you do Sarah and you get some great weather too. The views at the are breathtaking on a clear day. Thank you so much for watching and taking the time to comment, real nice of you, cheers Alan
Not that I know of lol but that takes out all the fun. If ever you do visit, give me a call, it would be real cool to do a hike together. Thanks for stopping by, cheers Alan
nice one alan.that was a long day as you say well worth it for them views.only done it via the corridor route . no matter what route its never easy.take it easy.
Yes it was, 16 hours from getting up, till get back home and then I could not sleep when I eventually got to bed lol. Long day but a real enjoyable one. Thanks for watching, cheers Alan
Thanks Alan for sharing this route with us. Very interesting scramble which will definitely bring me back to Scarfell Pike. Just watching by the poolside in Turkey sweating 😅 like crazy.. Made me lol “there’s a lot stupid people about these days”. ATB Mark.
Ps - respect to you - very very long day.👍 crazy how the weather can change in a second. Like you I like to stop and chat; can’t beat it. Here’s to the next one 👍🍺
Glad you enjoyed it and we used to love Turkey but not been for about 8 years now, which is a shame. Thanks for watching and enjoy tour holidays, cheers Alan
Yes they are but they have been improved by the National Trust, who put stone on the trail all the way to the top to protect the mountain, great on a dry day but lethal going down on a wet day lol. Thanks so much for stopping by, cheers Alan
Heading up to the Lakes in 2 weeks, want to do Scafell Pike but haven't decided the route yet, thanks for the view on Mickledore and helping me understand I don't need to decide until I hit the fork in the path.
Thanks for watching Paul and no matter which route you take up, have a great time. Fingers crossed you get some clear weather, as the views are amazing, cheers Alan
Nice work Alan, you certainly get about pal. Doesn’t matter how long it takes you, to experience those views is what it’s all about, good on you 👍, cheers Ant.
Thanks Ant, good of you to watch and with me it's like the tortoise and the hare, the tortoises gets there eventually and has a lot more fun doing it lol. Cheers Alan
Thanks very much for watching and after all these years, this comment has just now appeared waiting a response, which I always give - better late than never I suppose, cheers Alan
I have often thought about buying a drone, so maybe one day I will have one also. Thanks very much for watching and commenting, very much appreciated, cheers Alan
am so proud of you alan 80% of people up fist route you did it hard core one mate i did that rote with full over night pack on befour you tube my hat offf to you tfs atb bryan
Fingers crossed you get a clear summit when you do, as the views from the summit are breathtaking. Thanks very much for watching and commenting, cheers Alan
Beautiful view of the lake. I know the feeling on taking the breaks. "Gotta Beast it up there" That's awesome! That's a lot of shale rocks. I thought only we had the stupid people over here that write stupid stuff on other people's property. The views from the summit of Scafell Pike are amazing! The magical moments are what make every hike wonderful. I love how the weather can change within minutes. Thankfully you got there early and beat the crowds. Thank you for taking us along on your journey! Cheers Shu.
Thanks very much for watching and a great comment Shu, really appreciate it buddy. I got real lucky with the weather, as it closed in when I left the top but man, what a long day, really enjoyed it though, cheers Alan
I've been trying to learn exactly where these areas are. The names are so confusing so I map them. I've been watching a lot of England / Scotland photography channels like Thomas Heaton. I've really been learning as these areas are now on my wish list of places I want to visit - once we're allowed. I suppose the world is so big I never paid attention to anyone saying England has beautiful landscape but it certainly does. & now I know where Scafell is! Near Wasdale Head & Great Gable! Nice hike. Nice area. I actually prefer foggy day so it looked spectacular. From what I can tell flying into Manchester is the nearest hub to get to these lake districts. I'm taking notes. Rockie
Appreciate you stopping by Rockie and you are right, Manchester Airport is about 1.5 hours, by car, away from the Lake District. Your knowledge is pretty impressive and the fog blew in but blew out pretty quick, when is does not, yiu can get real disoriented up there real quick. Take care buddy, cheers Alan
Hi Alan watching your vid again as had to change route because my friend has decided to join me. So changed campsite so she can come and camp with one of my tents. As where i had booked there was no tents. But we will have to go up a easy route for my friend
Well done Alan, that’s a great route up and well worth the effort you put in. I’m guessing your knees are holding up? Looks like you timed it right with the weather as it can be disorientating up there in the clag.👍👍👍
Touch wood Anthony, my knee if holding up great (thank goodness) and long may that continue lol. I timed the weather just right, as it was only on the way down it turned. Thanks very much for watching, appreciate it buddy, cheers Alan
well worth getting up that early alan superb views from the very top, my only time up there it was 100 per cent cloudy with no views so i will return 1 day, you certainly testing that knee and making up for lost time this year especially early doors when in lockdown, great video m8 ps what is your very favourite place in all of lakeland cheers nigel
I have very fond memories of Blencathera and Place Fell, as I have done both numerous times but also with my son and grandson. More testing of the knee today on Skiddaw. Thanks for watching buddy, cheers Alan
Brilliant walk. I had pland to do scarfell this year but with lockdown I will have to do it next year like snowdon. But will still be able to do ben nevis at end of August
I hope you manage it Tina, I was supposed to do Ben Nevis for the 4th time last May but it got cancelled, which I was gutted about, I am not as young as you. Thanks very much for watching, real nice of you. Take care, cheers Alan
So, you chose the beastly way Alan. Well, you chose the rockers way because there was lots of rock and lots of roll. Ha ha! Well done, a really good climb. Some good breaks but you had nobody to talk to on this route. If you had imagine how long it might have taken you to get them views. Maaan, you could see off Scafell Pike but only just in time. Good going. All the best. Mark
Thanks for watching Mark and there was certainly a lot of twisting and shouting going on as well, real fun way up but not for everyone. I hope you are keeping fit and well, take care buddy, cheers Alan
@@AlanMETALMAN A pleasure Alan. Good to hear it was fun - well i could see and hear that. Me? Been training for the Wye on the 22nd - the last of the rivers. I will have hiked all 20 then. I'm stoked.
A long day Dave, 16 hours from getting up, till getting home but I enjoyed every minute of it. Thanks very much for watching and commenting buddy, appreciate it, cheers Alan
Back where you belong, Alan. Nice to see! Excuse the lack of interaction from us, we've just come back from a lengthy break in France and are playing catch up.
@@AlanMETALMAN Nothing to watch Alan lol, I've dropped a short of George beating a UK record but I wouldn't bother with it, it'll be in the main edit of the France tour in a week or two. I was just genuinly catching up on UA-camrs I like to watch as I've been out of the Uk for a few weeks and not kept up with any form of social media.

Epic walk with stunning scenery. Thanks for sharing with us.🙂🙂
Thanks very much for watching Martin, really appreciate it buddy, cheers Alan
Looks like the perfect day for it 😁 the sky is just so gorgeous!
Wow that’s a very early wake up 😅
Awww I hate getting wet feet puts a damper on things 😂
Some beautiful sights looks like a magical valley 😍🏞🌄
Oooh what a scramble 😬
Nice dramatic music haha 😁
Great snaps from the top 😊
Love your banter all the way through 😅
Wow never seen mist quite like that 🤗
I had such a fun day and despite it being 16 hours from getting up till getting home, I was still buzzing and could not sleep when I eventually got to bed.
I keep telling myself I'll get my backside up Scafell Pike one day. Great video as always mate 😊
Absolutely superb! Thank you so much for sharing, I hope I’m brave/fit/strong enough to do this via the regular route one day soon. 💖
I hope so too, it's a real good achievement which ever way you do it and I would only say one thing, go early, when I was coming down it was like a bus route going up. Take care and thanks for watching, cheers Alan
Lovely cascade, beautiful views, fantastic hike. It looked like a tough one though.
It was a 16 hour trip from getting up, till I got back home but I enjoyed every minute of it, even when it rained lol. Thanks very much for stopping by, really appreciate it, cheers Alan
Great footage. There were some really pretty views along the way on this one. Thanks for sharing.
Real nice of you to stop by and comment, appreciate it. I got lucky with the weather, as soon as I left the top, it all closed in. Take care, cheers Alan
Wow, such a trip! It's a feat, I admire you. Super video.🎥❤👍🏻
Thanks a lot, that's real nice of you and very much appreciated, cheers Alan
Great video Alan, I’m pretty much watching these on a loop now 😀👍
That's real good of you and very much appreciated.
Can’t beat that scenery Allan! Beautiful area! Thanks for taking us along brother! 🤘🏼
Thanks for watching Doug, real good of you, appreciate it buddy, cheers Alan
I love this one so much! Those falls are amazing! The look at the lake, gorgeous! I hope you get to camp the trust, that’d make an awesome video. The scrambles we’re so fun! It was cool to see it on the map. And the grasses are so green. I need a stick too, helps steady. Then the summit... and those stellar views💜💜💜
A long day but a great day, I loved every minute of it, even when it rained lol. Real good of you to stop by and comment, I really appreciate it, take care, cheers Alan
Always dear... love and miss your vids to the best hikes💜
You really were rewarded with some amazing views weren't you! Great climb up Alan!
Thanks Josh, good of you to stop by and very much appreciated. A tough day but a great day, taking care buddy, cheers Alan
Alan I’m always amazed by the scenery you show us, keep it coming!
Thank you so much for watching and I struck lucky with some great weather and the fact it only turned when I was on the way down, cheers Alan
Nothing like a bit of low cloud to add to the atmosphere . Definitely a better route up and it looked like your knees doing well 👍Great stuff mate.
Nice one Alan, looked very moody up top. The scree looked hard going but great achievement to reach the top, well done ATB Phil 👍
Thanks for watching Philip and tough going up that route but a lot of fun and that part of the walk, I had all to myself. Cheers Alan
Cheers Alan
Well done Alan , that must have been a long but satisfying day ; ) Thanks for taking us along with you Tale care :D Teddy
Yes it was, 16 hours from getting up to getting back home but worth it, I had a blast. Thank you for watching, cheers Alan
Real good of you to stop by and yest it was a tough day, especially after a 3 hour drive to get there but I loved every minute, cheers Alan
Absolutely beautiful!!
Thank you so much, real nice of you to stop by and make a comment, very much appreciated, cheers Alan
Another fantastic and informative video Alan, I hope to do Scafell Pike. Hopefully next week
Have fun and fingers crossed you get good weather and a clear summit. Appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment, take care, cheers Alan
Very nice video content of your walk to the Scafell Pike and the sceneries on the way,we were here a week ago.Well done, for making it to the summit.
Caught it just right Tony, I was on the way down when the weather closed in - thank goodness lol. Appreciate you watching buddy, cheers Alan
Take care
Man it's truly beautiful from the summit brother! Looked like some good hiking to arrive to the summit but brother it looked completely worth it!
It was, I so enjoyed it, despite the long day, I had a blast. Thank you so much for stopping buy, appreciate it, cheers Alan
Just came across this video, i actually remember seeing you & going past just over the bridge heading up.. Weather was lovely when i hit the summit
I went the traditional route as it was my first time up
Thanks very much for watching Rob and what a cracking day it was.
@@AlanMETALMAN Yes, I'll more than likely be on my own. So a straightforward route is probably wise. Will try and avoid crowds if possible though👍
Well done, nice video, looks beautiful at the top 👍🏼
Well done! And what stunning views!
Wow your an early riser!I thought there would be nobody there so early. The views are amazing from the summit.
This is amazing! The farm here and the mountains are just soii beautiful and set the mood for this amazing adventuree❤❤❤
Thanks very much for watching and taking the time to comment, real good of you, cheers Alan
Nice one Alan great upload from you again mate beautiful spots
Glad you enjoyed it and real good of you taking the time to watch and comment, cheers Alan
What an awesome hike and awesome views along the way! Looks like a good workout as well! 👍👍😎 ~Maverick
Thanks for watching, real good of you and a tough day out but one I really enjoyed, cheers Alan
@@AlanMETALMAN It's on the list for next year!!
Some cracking photography on that one Alan
I was so lucky with the weather, turned a bit on the way down but on the summit, I must have spent over an hour before I could drag myself away - breath-taking. Thanks very much for watching Stuart, appreciate it buddy, cheers Alan
Love the cloud at the end ,very dramatic, great stuff 🙂
@@AlanMETALMAN Yeah its a trek Alan.....bit shorter drive going via Keswick like you will be doing next time...cheers Stu.
Cheers Alan
I really enjoyed this video! I have yet to bag Scafell Pike but would love to do this route when I do.
I hope you do Sarah and you get some great weather too. The views at the are breathtaking on a clear day. Thank you so much for watching and taking the time to comment, real nice of you, cheers Alan
Great upload Alan like 153 with a full view as always - stunning views as always
Thanks for the visit, very much appreciated, cheers Alan
the small waterfall is so pretty with the river and the water so clear.
I was tempted to sit in and cool off my legs but it was freezing lol!
What a beautiful place! The views are stunning! Is there a cable car to the top in case I visit? 😂 Awesome hike my friend and thanks for sharing!
Beautiful country Alan would love to hike your country question are these trails old? Stay safe my brother good hike. Outstanding video.
Nice one Alan, I am yet to do this one but looks fantastic.
If you get a clear day, the views are breathtaking, so fingers crossed you do! Thanks very much for watching and commenting buddy, cheers Alan
Cheers Alan
Alan METALMAN - Outdoors it’s the main thing isn’t it mate, we enjoy the great outdoors don’t we pal 👍
Thanks very much for watching and after all these years, this comment has just now appeared waiting a response, which I always give - better late than never I suppose, cheers Alan
@AlanMETALMAN lol no worries Alan, hope your well pal
small stream from the top to the bottom so pretty.. must be amazing flying drone there
I have often thought about buying a drone, so maybe one day I will have one also. Thanks very much for watching and commenting, very much appreciated, cheers Alan

am so proud of you alan 80% of people up fist route you did it hard core one mate i did that rote with full over night pack on befour you tube my hat offf to you tfs atb bryan
Wow, now that must have been tough Bryan with a camping pack on, hats off to you for that buddy. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
Some stunning views to be had this is one hill that I need to tick off.
Awesome video my friend 👍
Thanks for the visit John, real good of you, appreciate it buddy, cheers Alan
Super randonnée ❤️
Thanks very much for watching, appreciate it, cheers Alan
awesome footage Alan, here supporting with a full view, have a lovely week ahead, like 126
Thanks for the visit, real good of you, one of my best days from 2020, cheers Alan
Hi Alan watching your vid again as had to change route because my friend has decided to join me. So changed campsite so she can come and camp with one of my tents. As where i had booked there was no tents. But we will have to go up a easy route for my friend
Fingers crossed that you get good weather Tina and a clear summit, as the views are amazing. Take care and Happy New Year to you, cheers Alan
Another great video
Thanks John, real nice of you to say so and good of you to watch, cheers Alan
I'm stoked.
@@WyeExplorer - wow, fantastic achievement!
@@AlanMETALMAN Thanks Alan. Not many people have done it and I had to carry on without Paul. Cried a lot on them hills. Have a great day tomorrow.

Back where you belong, Alan. Nice to see! Excuse the lack of interaction from us, we've just come back from a lengthy break in France and are playing catch up.
Sounds fun and I have you on my tomorrow watch list. I hope you all are well and thanks for watching, cheers Alan
11:08 That is awesome, bro.
