Jacky Terrasson reminds me of Keith Jarrett in his younger days. His Harmonies in this Great tune are magnificent. I can listen to Jacky’s Beautiful interpretation again and again!
Such a talent...he was few days ago in Algeria Annaba...and i can say sincerely that it was the best jazz i've ever heard live ...such an impression ❤️❤️❤️
I remember playin a gig with him at Deanna's (jazz club) In alphabet city in manhattan, n.y.c I played bass and my friend Dave burns jr(son of the famous /great hard bop:ect- jazz trumpeter Dave burns) and the great friend/mentor of mine MIKE BERLIN usually played piano, but he was out of town :) - So jaki terrason played piano at Deanna's in the trio woth us that night , early nineties, fun time, amd tommy turrentine(Stanley's ,wayyy underrated bebop trumpeter brother would hang out and play woth us and tell stories of recordings and how or what they were paid in or the producers ect, ect -ad infinitum,- so many rated amd underrated great players tommy, mike,jaky, and Dave burns jr the underrated (un recorded,tho Gil fuller , dizzy s arranger was supposed to set up a record for a label ,featuring us doing his music , ah but alas , his:story ,-had someother plans I guess) and Dave burns sr,( on three of dexter Gordon's albums , songs like "blue gardenias" and "six bit jones" and some from the complete 1960s blue note session, along wothe Eddie Jeffersons classic quartets:ect:- "oh gee",," filthy mcnasty"" jeneanin" oh and my favorite Dave burns with dexter"second balcony jump-from the landslide album version-he recorded it several times,) my friend amd mentor and respected "jazz elder"-"Sabu"reminded me of all theses times now so vague in my mind , thou I even remember Deanna singing and her sister, 1990s n.y.c en be bop to hip hop , I remember it?well?(lol:) what an era especially to EM all , also the teacher/preacher arnie Lawrence ,where I met Winston grennan,miss EM all /tho still In"I Mind" love Tonio bassie.
