Our Ruby is six years and change and our communication with her is largely unspoken now. Most times it’s hand gestures and body language. Though I must state that our Pyrenees before Ruby was very similar in that regard. Many and possibly most people that have dogs are simply pet owners. However there’s a whole other world of communication if you work with your dog to become active partners in daily life. It’s super rewarding and the bond that comes with it is difficult to describe.
