It's honestly not fair that some kids get to have a better highschool experience then others just because of where there parents or guardians choose to have them live.
My school didn’t have a theater, they didn’t have any arts classrooms (choir room, drama room, art room, etc), they rarely had talented students, absolutely no money towards musicals, plays, show choirs, etc. It’s such a shame. I hope these kids know that they are extremely lucky.
I’m really appreciative of the opportunities I was given in high school, and of the facilities I was given access to. I know I was incredibly lucky, as were the other members of my cast, but in an effort to demonstrate our appreciation for the facilities and faculty we had, the entire cast put on our all, at each rehearsal, each performance, and put on a kickass show. I wish music was more focused on in schools nationwide, it’s easily one of the most formative experiences I’ve ever had in my life.
This is making me sad because this was literally 9 months ago and I was about to switch to a school with a great theatre program (it was literally across from Disney) and now it’s online and I’m doing online school with no friends, performance, and I can’t even meet anyone

Now I’m inches away from 30 with 2 kids. Hence the exaggeration.) Also our school was very ghetto and broke. Ah memories.
