My son and I enjoyed watching 'The Gate' 1987 together. The first haunted house movie I watched was 'House on Haunted Hill' 1959. The scene where the door 'breathed' really freaked me out as a kid. Good list Barry.
Can't have a list like this without The Haunting (1963), The Innocents (1961), Devil's Backbone and Ju-on The Grudge. Great call on The Entity, it's still sends shivers up my spine to this day. Absolutely with you on the original Amityville film. I revisited it a few years ago and thought it was pants so sold my steelbook.
That's a good list of haunted house movies u have there Barry especially adding the Entity. I'd like to add a few of mine to the list --- Amityville 2 the possession --- the Evil 1978 ---- the Haunted (TV USA movie 1991). I'll look forward to seeing the next video 🐺😎👍
@WolfmansGotNards i totally agree with u I do wish these movies would get more attention as there still both very creepy an scary + the music was all so nerve wracking to this day 😩😮👻🏠🐺😎👍
I remember watching a film called haunted with a young Kate beckinsale and Aidan Quinn. Crimson peak is a classic also a little known film called the pact. 👍👍🎃🎃
Top list Barry. PA3 is the best in the franchise. The old school video camera made it terrifying. The bit where she gets lifted up by her hair caught me off guard and I 💩 myself. Check out Gonjiam: Haunted Asylum. Second sight put it out, Korean and class
I would have thought that there a lot of haunted house movies out there. House of Haunted Hill? Never did see the original with Vincent Price. Having had a look, can see it’s on UA-cam.
I'm not a fan of a lot of these movies on the list I like the Paranormal Activity movies I like the Amityville Horror remake but I love the original better I remember seeing it when I was 9 years old home alone no babysitter in the dark it'll freak you out never cared for much of The Conjuring movies

The Haunting 1963. Classic. Scary. No special effects.
I love that you named House and The Frighteners!😊

I prefer Amityville 2 over the original. That was pretty spooky.
Great video!

Check out deadstream, the changeling kind of a new school and an old school approach to the haunted house film.

The camera on the makeshift fan was genius in PA3.
