The significance of the poem “boots” is the constant routine of a soldiers marching nonstop from place to place just like the infected who run nonstop to chase their prey and the people doing what they can to survive. Fun (or not so if you've been there) fact the Boots poem is used in US military SERE training as well during the captivity portion. Played over,& over,& over until it's worse than nails on a chalk board. The sadist's at SERE may rotate what's pumped in but Boots is highly effective.
There is probably not a lot in this. But, I feel like the shot with the silhouette of zombies standing by the tree on a hill is the same hill and tree from the beginning of 28 weeks later as the infected chase Robert Charlise towards the getaway boat. Maybe there is no link as such, but the directors used the same hill as they liked the shot so much..?
*Carlisle. Also, I think it may only be coincidence. Although it does look like when they come over the hill. These ones look like they're being directed by that lone figure.

The “not Cillian Murphy” infected dude. Is played by an actor with a slight resemblance to good ol’ Jim. My colleague showed me an article about it yesterday.
Pretty sure the giant will be Jim from the first movie. All we have to do is remember how he came back to the military compound with infected and had all the soldiers killed. In 28 years he could have possibly have learned how to control the infected. And maybe even infected himself. Also that’s absolutely a giant.
To me, it appears to be Murphy, it seems like its the body of Murphy being raised/propped up from behind with a stick by someone hiding in the tall grass.
Its not Murphy, the actor playing that infected is Angus Neill, who is an art dealer, aspiring actor and model signed to the Ugly Models Agency. But story-wise, it "might" be the character of Jim that Murphy played in 28 Days Later, but we'll have to watch the movie to find out :D
In the suburban shot -- if you look dead center of the frame, there is a guy walking behind one of the buildings. Likely just.... some dude just walking his beat.
The NATO soldiers seem quite conflicting with the plot point that the infected spread to mainland Europe in 28 weeks later. They have modern military equipment suggesting the world has went on without the British isles. I wonder if they scrapped the idea or if the infection was somehow stopped in France.
@@mrfitz96Unlikely, as you see the soldiers in this trailer on certain frames with NATO emblazoned on their left shoulder patch. NZ isn’t a NATO member.
I have an idea that it’s going to be very similar to the game “the forest” as I think it’s going to lean towards a cult type of horror movie. Where the infected have evolved to find food, work together. As how else would they explain the infected not starving to death?
I find the scene of the figures on the hilltop really interesting. All the other figures are really agitated except one on the centre right. Like it’s weighing somebody up. It’s strange because if these are zombies they’re pretty reactive. For one to be standing still and observing is a little strange. I think these might be people or some of the zombies have evolved and that’s their leader
@@WolfmansGotNards true he does, the zombies are so feral though I’ve never seen any of them across the other films act that way around others that are going nuts around them though
The trailer starts by introducing a litttle boy named Jimmy. The title is 28 Years Later. Jimmy is the little boy grown up. I don't know why there is so much confusion
that is not the church from Jim s past... this is new scene where that little kid actually lose his father.(the kid with with bow and arrow in the trailer )... the scenario of the scene was leaked months ago.. (basically the kid runs with his father for a shelter in that church... but since the infected burst trough the windows his father stays and buys him time , also he gave him a golden cross to keep him in memory ). .. it is a self sacrifice scene ... pretty strong scene overall
the poem is about rudyards time in colonies and that version of the poem is used in psychologica warfare training to keep special forces awake as they train to stay battle ready and alert while sleep deprived aka intentionally causing ptsd sleep issues for life. consistent violent noise while exhausted creates life long sleep issues but the us military doesnt care. its evasion and torture training called seer.
On the comment about "Why would it be a Dream Sequence?" it's a possible "maybe", but I remember there being a nightmare scene in the first film, where Jim thought he had woken up alone and abandoned. If there's a dream sequence of some kind, it could be a callback to that?
I think the negan name is a walking dead reference ? Just had a thought Jimmy that comes from the clouds in the last film they got rescued from a plane that come from the clouds what if that's the reference he some sort of saviour he brought the planes to save everyone ?
Why are people so dumb..sorry but...we have had 2 films now with opening scenes that are flashback to earlier periods in the movie..28days - flashback to day 1 infection start...28 weeks - flashback to week 3 attack on farm, 28 years - year 5to8(?) Showing when Jimmy, main child actor was young and the outbreak began judging by the goings on , again DAY 1. hopefully we will get a extended day 1 escape from the house to the country scenes...would be nice...wish someone , anyone making a zombie, infected, viral film would STICK with DAY 1 or even days 1-5 of ANY outbreak showing only that..would be great and is what EVERYONE always talks about wanting..TAKE NOTE PRODS/DIRS on long shot of reading this 😂😂😂
Has anyone thought that the 8 smaller running infected in the tree shot are kids? To me they look like kids, and the one standing still is the grown “big guy.” … There seems to me a pretty heavy amount of kids in this trailer.
Yes, we Americans know of the Teletubbies. In fact, in the early 2000s, Jerry Falwell, who's an American televangelist, tried to "out" Tinkie Winkie as homosexual. Yes, this happened.
3 jimmies is just scratching the surface of the kind of "fucking with the audience" I think this movie will do. also, "jimmy" on the house is scribbled on much later than the jesus graffiti. like he (she?) is coming in and claiming it for themself.
I am SO EXCITED for this movie. 28 Days is one of my all time favorites- not just fave zombie movie but fave movie all around. I fell in love with Killian Murphy ❤️ 28 Weeks didn’t really do it for me, so I hope Years is as good as it looks.
Thank You Thank You I absolutely love that you said " I won't say Zombie, the infected..." I was beginning to think I was alone in this truth. Since 2002 I have been avidly trying to get people to realize this is NOT a Zombie trilogy. These are infected people NOT Dead NOT Zombies. If anyone payed attention to the end of 28 Days Later. Jim is speaking and he clearly stated that the infected were DYING off because they were starving to death. HELLO people Zombies cannot starve to death as they are already dead. Thank you for letting me know I'm not alone....
The field with the flowers could be the same area where the cottage was with jim and celina, he never made it and hasnt been out the area in 28 years. Possible
When Aaron Taylor Johnson is being chased by that huge infected that scene will be something like this - people go missing, they look for them, infected see jimmy and ATJ at the tree/field on the main lands, chase after them. Eventually they almost get back to the safe island, the watch tower have lights on them but right behind them is infected/this big dude. After that all hell breaks loose, AJT dies, young lad jimmy has to survive and is why he is paired with that lass and baby.
The image of the giant and the infected by the tree. The infected look like children to me. Not sure if it's related to the children watching the teletubbies?
Great video! Thank you, looking forward to this one! I think they have come out and said that's not Jim, it's Angus Neil. I think too Aaron Taylor Johnson character name is Jaime. 👍
I wonder if the soldiers will be bad, like in days, maybe they were soldiers related in someway to that platoon and showed up to the house after Jim letting the infected in and either one of the soldiers lived long enough to tell one of them it was Jim or they wrote in blood on the floor or something and now the new soldiers have been on a crazy manhunt for anyone at all named Jimmy for taking out other soldiers
The significance of boots playing is not what you think. This poem is used in training/ torture. It’s played in a loop on full blast while you are deprived of your senses of sight , locked up in a small room. Also it was used in the call of duty black ops 6 zombies trailer wich was highly anticipated and is a true return to form for their game . Return to form in cod and now a return to form in the 28 days later world.
Boots ( the poem) is something they used through a war to train soldiers how to handle interrogation. I think it's the Boar war but could be wrong 👍😊💜🐾
The shot with the silhouettes and the tree looks to me like a lot of children and one adult. Definitely some of the silhouettes are child-shaped and they're all similar size. The adult is closer to the camera but also looks like they'd be larger than the others once they'd caught up. There's also a weird shape under the tree that I'm not sure about, it's definitely not part of the tree so I wonder what what could be.
I think the teletubbies scene takes place in some kind of safe location in the present rather than the past, also if Im not mistaken isnt there like a very quick shot of jodie comer getting bitten in the trailer?
@@iK1L73rV2 the Teletubbies scene is definitely from 2002. All the furniture and clothing is from 2002. I don't think all of those things could have survived 28 years without destruction. Also, the little kid in that scene will be a grown up in the movie, named Jimmy.

Andy's sister and flynn the helicopter pilot didn't survived it would be cool if all the characters who's survived in the the first two sequels show up somehow in this sequel. Or Jim could be the immune tall guy they worship instead of my andy theory.
I heard 28 weeks later isn’t canon and has nothing to do with 28 years later
@The509sfinest story is highly secretly under wraps you don't no that for sure of course they say things like that to avoid spoilers.
I feel like 28 weeks later, while not awful as far as sequels go(and I am in love w/Imogen Poots, who played Andy's sister) has nothing to do w/Danny Boyle's 28 films.....therefore I sincerely doubt that he would take anything from it, or use it's characters! Just my opinion!
@@yourdashingheroidol7909 of course it got anything to do with it poster referring to the 28 weeks later too the first immune character they discovered was andy. Immunity plays a big role in the third installment. 28 movies doesn't need a follow up storyline because 28 years far far away from weeks.
IMO the significance of the poem is in regard to where society is now in the infected zone, as well as the evolution of the infected.
Causeways are under water much of the day night, becoming only visible with the tide lowering
awesome vid barry. there's a lost art seemingly making a resurgence in marketing - this was one of the best teaser trailers i've seen in years (out there along with super 8, the last airbender, man of steel, etc.)
fingers crossed we get to see a form of methodology & communication from the infected; just hope they don't go army of the dead route with the 'evolution' - seriously can't wait
Fun (or not so if you've been there) fact the Boots poem is used in US military SERE training as well during the captivity portion. Played over,& over,& over until it's worse than nails on a chalk board. The sadist's at SERE may rotate what's pumped in but Boots is highly effective.
1:47 that’s it. We’re coming over to take your oil.
That’s how it’s done!
Best trailer since The Dark Knight
There is probably not a lot in this.
But, I feel like the shot with the silhouette of zombies standing by the tree on a hill is the same hill and tree from the beginning of 28 weeks later as the infected chase Robert Charlise towards the getaway boat.
Maybe there is no link as such, but the directors used the same hill as they liked the shot so much..?
*Carlisle. Also, I think it may only be coincidence. Although it does look like when they come over the hill. These ones look like they're being directed by that lone figure.
@IntotheSpoderverse Thank you for the correction & God bless your soul.
I think many people, including you, are very much misled by the tall figure. But, we shall see 👀
*Carlyle.
@WolfmansGotNards haha what a di*k
@@IntotheSpoderverse I reckon the one stood still is asymptomatic carrier and is directing them like attack dogs
The song has a huge significance to the movie.
Poem.
@markw.loughton6786 thank you.
Killing it brother!!
Thanks brother!
I've got nothing substantive to add re: the trailer/plot/timeline of the films, just wanted to say I appreciate the breezy way you interact with opposing ideas and how open you are to the eventuality that, actually, you might have misread a detail or (hilariously) your view might very well have fuck all in common with the eventual plot when it's all said an done. I mean that sincerely, humility and being open to possibility are more scarce than uninfected Britons at this point. You got a subscribe from me.man.
I'm from Dudley UK, don't you remember back in the late 90s early 2000s everyone used to say "F**k you Jimmy"???
Said it in like a scouse/Scottish accent.. can't just be me that remembers that
Hey you sound like that dude in 28 weeks later the one who left his wife behind 🙏🏽
We're from the same City. I'd also leave my wife behind.
@WolfmansGotNards 🤣🧟
Holy Island is at Seahouses in Northumberland at Lindesfarne where monks make wine and it's classed as the devil's causeway because of the tides covering it 👍😊💜🐾
I'm going to go early next year.
@WolfmansGotNards It's a lovely place and if you like wine you should definitely try some. I watched them making it when I was at school in the 80's. Probably wouldn't be allowed now 🤣🤣👍💜🐾
Holy Island would be a brilliant place to hunker down.
@@perkigothdragon2397 👍
@@WolfmansGotNardsI went earlier in the year and it’s a great little place. Still be fascinating to see it used in the film!
The “not Cillian Murphy” infected dude. Is played by an actor with a slight resemblance to good ol’ Jim. My colleague showed me an article about it yesterday.
And he could be playing Jim.
Celebration is the beginging when he off to find the -wizard- doctor 😂
@@psx0005rr Boyle already confirmed that it's just an emaciated infected, not Jim.
I hope not. Retcons are lazy and cringe
Maybe the military guys are from New Zealand or similar remote nation come to investigate the origin of the infection
@@mrfitz96Unlikely, as you see the soldiers in this trailer on certain frames with NATO emblazoned on their left shoulder patch.
NZ isn’t a NATO member.

The "giant" infected person notice how hes standing still unlike the other infected. Hinting maybe hes more evolved and a leader of the infected.
Robert Carlisle stood still a few times in part 2.
@@WolfmansGotNards true he does, the zombies are so feral though I’ve never seen any of them across the other films act that way around others that are going nuts around them though
Don displayed a lot of restraint for a rage virus infected. Clearly this one is their pseudo-leader or even a leader
28 Jimmy's Later
@@bradleyhendry8125 😅 literally.
The trailer starts by introducing a litttle boy named Jimmy. The title is 28 Years Later. Jimmy is the little boy grown up. I don't know why there is so much confusion
People get confused easily.
that is not the church from Jim s past... this is new scene where that little kid actually lose his father.(the kid with with bow and arrow in the trailer )... the scenario of the scene was leaked months ago.. (basically the kid runs with his father for a shelter in that church... but since the infected burst trough the windows his father stays and buys him time , also he gave him a golden cross to keep him in memory ). .. it is a self sacrifice scene ... pretty strong scene overall
Good info. Thanks for that.
the poem is about rudyards time in colonies and that version of the poem is used in psychologica warfare training to keep special forces awake as they train to stay battle ready and alert while sleep deprived aka intentionally causing ptsd sleep issues for life. consistent violent noise while exhausted creates life long sleep issues but the us military doesnt care. its evasion and torture training called seer.
On the comment about "Why would it be a Dream Sequence?" it's a possible "maybe", but I remember there being a nightmare scene in the first film, where Jim thought he had woken up alone and abandoned. If there's a dream sequence of some kind, it could be a callback to that?
That's possible.
Finally someone noticed she called the boy Jimmy
I think you are right about the meaning of the Kipling poem. That, and it adds an incredible tone to the trailer. I’m excited for this movie.
Yes, we Americans know of the Teletubbies. In fact, in the early 2000s, Jerry Falwell, who's an American televangelist, tried to "out" Tinkie Winkie as homosexual. Yes, this happened.
They filmed a lot of it in Northumberland, holy island and rothbury, I remember seeing the advert for extras, who had to be able to run! 😂
i still remember the scene in the 2nd movie where the father gets a drop in his eye and turns while saying bye to his daughter. chilling
Is in the first one, bro.
@wordwanderer1 is it? was so long ago hehe
3 jimmies is just scratching the surface of the kind of "fucking with the audience" I think this movie will do.
also, "jimmy" on the house is scribbled on much later than the jesus graffiti. like he (she?) is coming in and claiming it for themself.
Poem about African war. Masks from Africa. Island the shape of Africa. Rituals like the ones in Africa. Hmm 🤔?
The TELETUBBIES was created by our very own british SID JAMES of carry on fame..fact 😊
Possible
I am super happy to see this movie! I can't find copies of the first two and I'm pissed
They should have released a 3 movie set/package in time for Christmas. Would've sold a good amount.
I suppose those kids who are 'watching the Teletubbies' scene is a brief recap of the events of 28 Days Later.
Yep, hopefully we’re going to get some very solid original outbreak scenes from when it all started.
It’s not Jim, it’s not even the same actor.
@@gglover95 I'm not saying it's the same actor. What makes you think it's not Jim?
Great video and analysis 👍
I hear that it's going to be a 3 parter and is simular to the last of us ? And hope ur recovered and happy yuletide 2024 and a banging 2025
No way they have cillian murphy just to make him a zombie
Did you notice that the underneat the scarecrow cloth was the same cultist mask seen later on?
Yep.
I REALLY hope the "Bone Temple" doesn't devolve into the supernatural/paranormal territory. Would not suit the franchise at all
I don't think it will. I'm just worried it might evolve into worshipping/tribes etc.
I have a feeling that the Boots poem will make sense after we all see the movie lol.
Could Jimmy be Jims son maybe he had a kid with a woman he wasn't with all those years ago and he didn't know about the kid
He'd have to have been around 16 or so when he had the kid though.
It's not the same church. Windows are different.
The image of the giant and the infected by the tree. The infected look like children to me. Not sure if it's related to the children watching the teletubbies?
the infected will be like the intelligent zombies in all of us are dead
Just fyi, the scene at 10:25, and the one at 13:51 are in the same room, if you look at the fixtures etc.
Great video! Thank you, looking forward to this one! I think they have come out and said that's not Jim, it's Angus Neil. I think too Aaron Taylor Johnson character name is Jaime. 👍
Jaime is a South American name. I don't think that'll be his name.
Can you say purple burglar Alarm? If not can you try Curly Wirly 😂
Classic.
Nerd alert! Teletubbies original run ended in 2001 but then I suppose you could argue that 28 Days Later was set in 2001...
Could be reruns (they played for years after it ended), or it could have been 2001.
I’m surprised at 12:14 we didn’t go into detail about he soldiers patch on his arm. Is it the nato sign? Do nato still exist?
The significance of boots playing is not what you think. This poem is used in training/ torture. It’s played in a loop on full blast while you are deprived of your senses of sight , locked up in a small room. Also it was used in the call of duty black ops 6 zombies trailer wich was highly anticipated and is a true return to form for their game . Return to form in cod and now a return to form in the 28 days later world.
Boots ( the poem) is something they used through a war to train soldiers how to handle interrogation. I think it's the Boar war but could be wrong 👍😊💜🐾
That's really interesting about the poem - it is creepy...gives me chills..
A chant for marching etc. In WW1
I wonder if any of the infected in the new film are Andy from 28 weeks later.
@@beast2nd7th surely not. He'd be long gone, as well as being in France.
@WolfmansGotNards new to your channel, love the name, and thanks for the feedback man. Cheers from south Texas 🍻
Yes I agree, in the first movie. The military plane seen them as they made that sign in the field etc.
