I agree with pretty much everyone... not a big fan of the close ups... however, I'm glad to have the opportunity to share one of my sketchbooks... and I'm sorry for my face hahaha :)
Hey Bobby. I think people should be more respectfull and greatefull for seeing and awesome, free video of a great artist talking about great stuff. Anyway, thank you for sharing yout time with us!
You are incredibly talented. I enjoyed a lot your explination.
Please why are you saying sorry for your face as a Muslim we believe that we are all created by Allah and when some says something awful about your face they’re criticizing God’s creation, we are all in perfect condition our eyes our nose our mouth are just in perfect order and design, we all look at who you really are and it’s you that decide who you are not your face , the soul is the only thing that matters and I can only see beauty from you 🌷
Nothing wrong with your face, Bobby. It's the constant shift back and forth between a super close up and a sort of a medium shot of the sketchbook that gets annoying.
, is good to see the face behind all the swesome art hehe
I love listening to him while I’m drawing to be EXTRA EFFICIENT :)
It's amazing that with small details you can see a whole story.
Honestly Karla should be working as one of those laughers in sitcoms.
Bobby’s art is so captivating to me. The subjects he draws, but also the faintness of the sketches give a real whimsical feel. I think any of it would make for a great children’s show/book/movie. Plus, Bobby seems very chill and down to earth. Some of the artists featured can feel very pretentious.
yes i want a 10 min compilation of bobby chiu's face zoomed in full screen , thank you Trojan Horse Was a Unicorn.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I think this man really observes and knows whats happening around him..and that’s what springs into new and weird ideas. Inspiring 👍💯
These are incredible interviews and sit downs. It’s an opportunity to peak into what is mostly a private intimate process of an artist diving into their sketchbooks. As always Bobby is a joy to listen to, and never disappoints on honest open funny retrospective commentary!
This is a gold one, totally love the way he interprets society views into his drawings and how the drawings become so much more interesting when he gives us the backstory of his thoughts that created this vision. First everything is so cute and fluffy and then...Boom!!
This was an awesome sketch series with this delightful talented honest, humble and kind artist. This artist has given so much back to the artist community... how Blessed I feel, for me to listen to him share his journey and thoughts.
I think I found my favorite artist. His drawings made me wonder and laugh.
I like how every single video of this series has the same feedback about the extreme zoom-ins on the artists faces but it never changes :p
Love Bobby Chiu's work and it's so inspiring to see him draw!
I believe all these videos already existed, they don't make them as they go, it was paid content before and now they are just releasing them for free
@@SubNorm4L that explains it! They are very awesome though, I'm glad they released them ^^
"sometime I think about how would these creatures taste like, I how I would make dishes out of them..."
respect.
I'm sorry, but the super close ups are super annoying. Seeing every pore and bead of sweat is not enhancing the viewing experience.
HAHAHAHAH..... My thoughts exactly.......
AGREED! They can do the close up of the artist in the beginning and end of the vid. In between should focus on the sketchbook ONLY.
I think you have to acknowledge the videographers and editors are artists in their own right and the aesthetics and style of this channel are very consistent. They should be able to present their vision as they see fit. It is not meant to be a drawing tutorial. There are hundreds of those elsewhere.
Do you want to pay attention to this minor inconvenience (as if it's even an inconvenience) when he's giving you a sketchbook tour which you can access for FREE and listen to him talking about his process?
The dedication some people show towards whining and complaining about inconsequential things is mind-boggling and hilarious
what are you saying bobby is beautiful
Bobby the type of classmate who would draw a caricatural portrait of the teacher or random strange characters while roasting them and you can't stop laughing because his creativity is actually ridiculously ill yet genuinely smart.
Like everything makes sense. But it's so funny when he say, "you know, LIKE SOCIETY?"
No its cringe
Love to listen Bobby's podcasts and still he has new interesting stories to tell :)
These videos are so calming
Wish they zoomed in on the art as much as his face.
this was the best!! immersive and inspirational for sure one of my favorites
I like how he says everyone is hypnotized and shouldn't be like that, and he himself is a creator of hypnotizing content, as worker of the entertainment industry.
Just finished a Bobby Chiu podcast, good timing :)
“When he moves away , the cord snaps and the creature dies”
Both : uncontrollable laughter*
I just love the series can't wait to see more!!!
this was sick. really enjoyed the unique vision he has
I can see Karla laughing 😂 and along with Bobby - what a great interview.
We don't need the constant closeups of his face throughout the piece.. I understand you are highlighting the person behind the art, but at a certain point it truly detracts from the work itself. I know I'm not the only one who feels this way about the editing/style of video. Listen to the feedback and trust that the content will be better!
Este dibujante tiene otro talento m le da vida significado a sus dibujos con palabras, tiene una imaginación muy sana es un genio!
very cool and entertaining, Bobby knows what's up
I disagree with most of the comments below, because I like those zooms in the face of the artist... It looks like something very personal, intimate, and it makes sense for this kind of content... Is it just me?
"WHAT ARE YOU DOIN? stay on the trail and you cannot fail" ahahahah
Great! Big fan of Bobby´s art!
Great, Bobby chiu attitude and wisdom is great!
I love whoever giggles in the background of these videos
The camera should focus more on the sketchbook than Bobby's face
The camera should focus more on Bobby's face
Why? The videographer and editor are telling the story of Bobby’s thoughts and feelings not his drawing technique. THWAU are doing a wonderful job bringing a number of great artists to his series With a unique vision. It’s fine to not like the style but to tell tell these creators what they should be doing is silly.
I love Bobby and so his face
This guy is epic! I love his take on heroes and legends.
Bobby is such an inspiration ! Your recent discovery change my life and mindset about art !
Yay, Bobby Chiu is so inspiring!
I really love this dude! Crazy ideas and awesome art 😎 keep it coming trojan horse!!!
Love these interviews
Bobby, you look fine, but your work is outstanding. The skill is wonderful, of course, but you bring so much life, character and humor to each creature.
I'm inspired to get my pencil and draw a very shiny animal nose right now. Thanks!
The man, the legend
15:43 unexpectedly hit hard,
Can we have female artists also? Wondering how thoughts ideas and characters would be different
Should’ve just put his face as the thumbnail because that’s really what the video is 🙃
This dude is deep. I thoroughly enjoyed this.
hurry up and ask her on a date, and lets get back to doing more close ups of the artwork and less close ups on poor bobby's face, I feel like Im getting too close to him, invading his personal space, so lets back up a whole lot. thanks for video though trojan, really enjoy them.
I am taken back to my youth, listening to a true hippie explain how society could be explained by a bowl of soup, in which we are all the vegetables, those who think that they have made it are the chunks of meat, but the soup, the soup was made for *The Man* who will devour the potato-people, the crazy -carrot-folk, the pea-peasants, & the middle-class-meat-men all together.
This was punctuated by someone whispering, "Far out, dude...far out."
One thing I can help to notice on this sketchbook series is how a lot of artists waste paper
Is it really wasted, if they keep the sketchbook forever?
It's not wasted AT ALL. It is what it has to be.
@@keylupveintisiete7552 Why? Is it some prophecy?
I'm not sure what you mean by waste? Are you referring to the other side of the page they're not using in their sketchbooks?
@@Rob.89 yeah, all that blank space could still be used
Didn´t like the closeups, but I loved the thoughts of Bobby. Even if you are following his channel - this felt more personal
I really enjoyed hearing him talk through his story drawings. (Yes, still annoyed by the giggles.)
Yeah are the extreme close-ups really necessary?
This was such a great interview ❤️❤️❤️
I get this dude... His life too.
I've noticed even on other sketchbook series videos that most of the liked comments explain how annoying and uninteresting it is to always have super- right on the face clips of the artists. I mean yes, it is to enhance the quality of the video and to depict their emotions while going through their sketchbook. But, it is kind of annoying and nauseating having it up on so many angles that I just get motion sickness from it. From a stable shot to a handheld shot is cool yeah but uhhhh. Maybe better transitions? It just hurts to watchh. Hope you guys take these comments into consideration haha
I love this series a lot. The close ups honestly don't bother me, what does is the constant laughter in the background of all of the videos with any male artist. It's too much. /:
did he just tell us the secrets to the whole universe?!?!?
Love his style
NEW VID OMGGGG bobby is so cute! have kevin wada come in next!
another great video! But my question remains unanswered, whats the name of the track?
Thank you so much..
At first i thought you guys interview Stephen Chow😅 but as usual great content 👍
Amazing
Super nice job 👍
Every shot of his face is just the camera guy trying to frame the golden ratio. When you do that nonstop like that, it comes off as amateurish. Added to the fact that the shots are super tight, it is a disservices to your subject.
Not to mention, they didn't have the decency to apply some powder or softer lighting so he doesn't look so sweaty..... Geez....
You guys should get josan gonzalez (death burger) on here. His style is incredibly unique and I'd love to see his sketchwork.
And in 2022 we see he was right about heroes.
Please get Bobby Rebholz in there.
Very cool!
Awesome you are very skilled friend 👍 👍
2:56 would be an awesome tattoo!!
The legend
Esses vídeos foram gravados há muito tempo?
I'm asking myself the same.
I came early. What a treat!
Kim Jung Gi's sketchbook coming next?
Makes me feel like listening to a fairy tale
Genius
Please fire that cameraman / editor
Yes
Is that small book a Moleskine?
That guy knows
His style reminds me a lot of Tony Wolf
😂😂😂 how right he was/still is ❤❤
I just realized Rich Chigga can draw 😂😂
♡♡♡♡♡
This guys is the Rich Brian for drawing.
I also noticed it too lol
8:58 my life at the moment.
Bobby defo had a few mushroom trips in his time
i love these sketchbooks videos from my art heroes but yeesh, the close ups are getting worse and worse.
GET PAUL DAINTON ON THIS
get Peter Han
0:25 kim jung gi
Love this series, but you need to giggle less.. You're giggling at every little thing.
Why this channel like to focus on people face rather than the artworks ? Camera close up too much like the cooking show.
I have a feeling that this Chad could take anyone's girl
Why are we on his face so much and less on the art? This is bad. I another video gone to the dogs.
No one needs a closeup of his nose sweat! You wouldn’t get right up in his face in real life, so WHY subject US to such visual claustrophobia? Focus on the DRAWING, please.
Loved the artwork, but the video taping is very poor....focus on the drawings instead of the artist's face.....also the female giggling in the background was very annoying.
The art community better rise the f up, *we live in a society*
I want whatever Karla's on
