- my 1987 toyota pickup 22r head gasket blowed and the head had a hole on the water jacket. I had to replace it before it got worse. it's a different video than I normally do but without a ride I can't fish. I love my little truck an had to fix it. hope this video helps someone that needs to replace the head gasket or head on there 22r.

How long did it take from start to finish? I have the same truck and it needs a new head as well. Where did you get the new head? Online? Just want to make sure I get a good one.
Took me a good full day an part of a night to finish it. An online. It was a job for sure. Make sure the timing chain tensioner doesn't pop out or you will have to take the whole front apart to fix it. I appreciate you watching

Definitely gone have to put a new head on it. Yeah she running strong. Drive it everyday. Was a job but that's with anything. Appreciate you watching an hope everything goes good with your rebuild
did you take away the ticking with a valve adjustment?
Yes, but it's still gone have a little bit of a tick. Even with everything brand new. Just don't over tighten the valve clearance. Not less your looking for a tick it will disappear after adjusting. But it's still gone have that 22r toyota tick. I appreciate you watching
