Hey, so I've been putting the same comment on Castlevania 64 ost vids, but basically I am looking for a person by the name of Justin (last initial M) as he was a *tremendous* fan of the Castlevania 64s, especially of the music.
You see, Justin and I fell out of contact with each other due to a series of unfortunate events, and I have been posting this comment around in the hopes he might see it and reach out.
He has never used social media, and googling his full, legal name yields nothing of him, as recent as July 31st, 2022.
With everything going on in the world today, my only wish is to reconnect, and relive the old days, one final time.
May this "voice from the past" reach you, dear Justin. May you escape the *Judgement* of Fate.
With Love,
Magustus
Hey there, I am sorry to hear that you fell out of contact with your friend. I am going to pin this comment in case he sees this video, he'll see this comment first. If I ever come across this name I'll let you know. Sorry I can't do more, I hope you find him!
Had a buddy like that as well. We played this as well as every awwsome game on the sega dreamcast! Im Jose my bud was Sergio!!
@@joeluim84 Best of luck to you!
I hope you find them, best of luck!
You are so especial to miss your friends
Thank you! Almost no one bothers with Castlevania 64 or Legacy of Darkness although they were amazing games!
I'm glad you like it! It was a great game and one of my favorite games during the N64 era! :)
Totally agree with you guys! Both 64 Castlevania games were amazing, and so are these covers!
They were underrated gems that were unfortunate to have come right after SOTN.
it was the best games of all the castlevania games!!!
Atmospheric music and gloomy moods in the villa and castle center. Really get nostalgic for the feel of playing the forest of silence for that first time as Carrie or Rheinhardt.
What's your favorite moment from this game? Mine is either the showdown with Actrise or the moment that the giant beast starts walking toward you after activating the castle elevator.
I would love to play as a werewolf again in a castlevania game.
For me, a Legacy of Darkness remake would be just awesome. 😋
🦇 🦇 🦇 🌕 🦇 🦇 🦇
a remake of the very original CV 64 would be just fine with me
as long true justice is been made for the game
It would be epic if they expanded on that even more and gave us games where you can play as a merman also
I honestly loved this game. One of the most atmospheric and gothic N64 games.
Castlevania 64 was a masterpiece that never got the recognition it deserved. The music and the story are memorable twenty plus years later..thanks for posting!
Ik I grew up with it n played it with my dad, brother, sister, we were blown away n transforming into wolf was groundbreaking to me first transformation game to me. The final Dracula form felt like fighting satan a fallen angel
I didn't know it was so hated. Yeah, playability was not good, but I had lots of fun with this game.
My favorite Castlevania game
Same. I know other castlevanias were considered as masterpieces. And indeed they are quality games. But none of those reached my heart as this one does. I played Symphony of the night like 4 times. and others either one or 2.
But Castlevania 64... i lost count on how many times ive replayed it. Even todays.
@@noldorwarrior7791 Agree.
I want Castlevania 64 to remade by From Software. Seeing how good Bloodborne is,i want to see their interpretation of Castlevania.
Also played it several times^^ its my favorite Castlevania game and one of the best games in the world. The funny thing is, i found my girlfriend with this game :)
@@Tanos12345 Beautiful 😊
This is spectacular. I always wondered why nobody made their own remixes or remasters of this game because it's soundtrack is just too good. Always stuck with me even from my childhood.
Because this entry of the series needs to get more recognition first. It's great but heavily downplayed by critics of the old days.
@@Boomblox5896 You're right! I never understood why critics gave it such a bad rap, probably because it was so different from the older games before it. Still, it's a fantastic game!
@@simdrew1993 The only bad part is probably the ledge-grabbing and your heavy commitment to a jump once you leap in the air. No control once you let your feet leave the ground, but that's how Castlevania has always been.
Pro-Tip though: Just hold down the jump button when you reach a ledge so you grab onto it properly instead of slipping off into the abyss.
@@Boomblox5896 Oh for sure, I used to fall into the abyss or poison water all the time, the grabbing and camera controls were awful, like I sometimes couldn't see everything because of the poor camera controls and would fall lol.
Thanks for the tip, if I play it again I'll keep that in mind. I remember when I didn't know about the moon cards and advancing time, I had no idea there was a time limit before you got to the castle keep, before Dracula got to the Vampire hunter guy.. and advancing time had him get turned..
@@simdrew1993 Neither did I. I had to fight Vincent and then I don't think I ever got to finish the game properly. Dracula was a bit difficult of a fight for me at the time.
Now on emulator, I'm trying my best to speed thru and get to the end before it's too late.
I ABSOLUTELY love the Castlevania 64 games and the ost! I REALLY wish they would remake both of them!
I think this game feels the most vampirey, if that makes any sense, and you really made the atmosphere pop with your music!
The Villa theme and Rose are great pieces, but Im in love with the Castle Center and with The clock tower!
This Castlevania is amazing. I know it had camera issues, but it's still my favorite castlevania in 3D to this day.
3:20 Castle wall - watch tower truly captures beautifully the suspenseful sense of Eeriness and Enigma that Castlevania should always be about
'Courage Don't leave me'
a Mighty Belmont Once said ..
The hook on Annex - Silent Madness would be another absolutely fantastic sample
Childhood when I was 9 now I'm 26, time flies !!!!!!
Same D:
i love the sinking old sanctuary..... since i was 12 years old! now i'm 30 years old! i can hear the song and now your music compilation every day =) thank you! greetings from Germany to Japan? i hope so =)
The way you orchestrated the Castle Center - Main Theme is going to live in my head for a long time. It's really interesting, was always my favorite track from the game next to the Sinking Old Sanctuary and the Duel Tower theme (especially love how you did the Duel Tower too. Perfection). But the main theme, the combination of instruments that you use make it interesting to listen to, and also just a Little Bit unnerving. Really just excellent work.
Any chance you'd also do "A night of piece and quiet" ? With your talent it would really become something amazing
The way the violins and piano are used throughout this soundtrack along with the subtle trills and calmness of this music shows truly how scary and riveting Castlevania music can be. This game and soundtrack is of legends especially the Legacy of Darkness expansion.
The Watchtower hook with the quickened strings would be a mad sample
This video deserves tons of attention. It's beautiful
An incredible take on the CastleVania 64 OST, Each track from this CV64 OST remaster are atmospheric and spooky in they own way.
There's a few track's i've enjoyed. Those track's are Sinking Old Sanctuary, Garden Maze, Toothed Wheel & Dance of Illusion's.
The instrument's choices are great too. In fact the instrument's are from a DAW called Mixcraft, Which in fact is my main DAW & one of my favorite's.
My 2nd DAW to use will be Reaper or Cakewalk. Both are great options, Since Reaper takes less space in every PC while Cakewalk has great amount of features & a powerfull DAW none the less.
Thank you so much for remaking the CV64 OST. Please do an orchestral arrangement of Dracula's Theme from SCV4. Or maybe a possible SCV4 Re-Arranged OST in the future?
Thank you so much for putting in the effort for this soundtrack. Castlevania 64 will always be one of my most cherished games, and your covers did the game justice
What I really want is is an individual video for each song. Your rendition of The Sinking Old Sanctuary is the best I've found so far on youtube.
HOLY SHIT THE FIRST 30s were enough to give me chills
Now this is just beautiful! Absolutely beautiful. Castlevania LoD was the first Castlevania I ever played and beaten. I was five years old. And this just brings tears to my eyes. Thank you for your work.
I am very jealous that Legacy of Darkness was one of your very first games! I know that feeling, that... rising emotion, from deep within.
I know you posted this comment 3 years ago, but I pray all is well.
May the Night watch over you!
Absolutely flawless and wonderful renditions of the themes that made those games so cool. It makes me feel the creepy, enthralling atmosphere they had, and brings back so many cool memories
This is such a great treat! I love the entire compilation. Castlevania Rawks! ✌👽✌
Indeed it rawks! :D
This is my symphony! - Beautiful compilation!
You did an amazing and deserve much praise! Thank you
Thank you for this! As a HUGE Castlevania fan, I really appreciated the music in CV 64. These are incredible.
God! The Atmosphere!
Annex - Silent Madness is a personal favorite but the whole entire soundtrack fit the darkness of the game perfectly. Seeing people shit on this game makes me pity they never knew how beautiful the night could be.
This is the second Castlevania game I have ever beaten. I put so many hours on this game. Makes me still wish I had my n64. Thanks for releasing this video. Brings back good memories.
Stunning simply stunning I love it! Lord Dracula himself would be proud, you created a masterpiece my friend. 😊
Thank you!
I just wanna say something: ART 🙌
Love the backgrounds it sounds really amazing.
Yes, Renon’s theme. Clean 🧼
Thank you so much for this work that you put out. This really means a lot to us, that got to play this beautiful game!
still listening to this beautiful piece of art every week
You did an Amazing work! Castlevania 64 is my favorite game
Thank you sor much! These were amazing games! My childhood! Such beautiful music :) it'd love to see these done in a huge live Orchestra too!
Thank you, glad you like it! I would love to see a live orchestration of these songs too! :)
Underground Tunnel - Invisible sorrow 🤯
Why has this only shown up in my recommendations? The style and usage of the music alongside the atmosphere of the n64 is underrated and dare I say misunderstood. Glad to have listened to this.
beautiful
one of the most underrated or under appreciated games of all times with also a great under valued OST
is nice to see awesome people who truly gets it and give their takes on the matter to expand upon their beauty
Castlevania forever and Always
Awesome piece of art, supreme work! Greetings from Argentina.
This is incredible! One of my favorite games, sadly very underrated with such an amazing soundtrack
My favorite castlevania! what a beautiful job!
I am proud of you. Great Compilation!
Thank you!
Thank you so much for this. Some of my earliest memories are these songs. Why do people trash so much on this game its SO fun.
Thanks, I'm glad you like it!
By the way beautiful soundtrack
27:17
Thanks!
@@Tetsugaku your welcome 🙂
I am the 100,000th viewer according to the counter. Awesome album
The 64 Castlevania games is what got me into the franchise as a kid. Loved them, despite the difficulty. So im hoping maybe we could get Legacy of Darkness in a 3d castlevania collection or something.
Thanks for this wonderful trip down memory lane.
🐺⚔🧙♀️🔫
Love the soundtrack great job
great compilation
Beautiful
Never actually played this one, but always loved the Annex theme. Great iteration!
OMG this is amazing 😍
Great arrangements from a highly underrated game! I hope you will continue doing arrangements for the series? Maybe Legacy of Darkness, too? :) Thank you for your music
I love this.
So very much.
Excellent !!! that was so cool !
Thanks!
Very Nice! Brings back good memories. :D
Complimenti vivissimi...molto belle
Kein castlevania reicht an diesen Teil hin er ist einfach der geilste hoffe wirklich auf ein Remake wie bei Zelda 🥳🙏 Danke
Fantastic! 🖤
Thank you!
El intro se oye brutal en este modo orquesta. ¡Epico intro!
EXCELLENT
wow they made this music sound even better & more creepy than it was in the game good job ❤
Unfortunately I can only give it one like, but if it was on me I'd give it a million likes. Thank you for your work, it is beautiful and elegant, you are very talented, congratulations! Greetings from Mexico.
Thank you, I'm glad you like it!
Masterpiece the soundtrack and the game
Hermoso!! una obra maestra
40:01 - Dance Of Illusions
People normally say these games are the worst in the series, but considering they were the first 3D entries, I'd say they're pretty good. Not amazing or anything, but definitely not bad. I think they translated the gameplay of the early classics to 3D very well, adding some exploration elements. I don't find Reinhardt's whip bad, it automatically targets enemies, just like sub weapons, and the sword is a very good close-range "get off me" weapon. Also the platforming is just fine. Yes, the camera can be a little annoying at times, and it's a bit hard to predict where you're gonna land after a jump, but it's mostly fine. What's really frustrating though is when you have to scale platforms. It's sort of Tomb Raider 1-ish but harder and more clunky. Over all, these games are really good for the first 3D games in the series, and honestly, they deserve praise.
Actually I had no problem with anything when I played Castlevania 64 for the first time.
That would be cool!
Yeah it was a solid game, and the second one was a huge improvement
I loved the game for what it was during the era it was made. I would rather not have it remade into another God of War clone.
One of the best games ever!
Nostalgia 🥰
Beautifull
This goes harddddddddd
Nice
Thank you so much for sharing us this awesome work!
What music program did you use to compose it?
Thanks, I used Mixcraft.
Really awesome work man. Deserves so many more views. My only complaint is it lacks Tower of Science and Tower of Sorcery, who are also under rated gems?
I have covered those songs. At the end of the video you'll find more links of covers I did of this game, or you can just search for them on my channel.
Kind of sad that there were no way to make orchestral version of First Struggle, but that's still an amazing rechreation of one of my favourite Castlevania games.
No need to be sad, I'll probably make more Castlevania songs, I picked out the songs I liked best when I made this music compilation and it was anything but easy, so you can imagine that the rest of the songs won't be easy for me to cover, it will take some time. :)
@@Tetsugaku would wait for them)
In the meantime you can listen to the other Castlevania songs that I uploaded here a few months ago, if you haven't already done so.
Invisibile sorrow è magica e intramontabile per me
I remember when l was 17 years old and bought this awesome game it was in 2002 l think, unfortunately Konami does not figure out the potential of this game in order to make a good remake or continue with this franchise.
Greetings from Mexico!
19:15 Majestic
Castlevania 64 is my first and favorite Castlevania game. I have a boxed copy just because.
Same here.
Minha infância resumida nesta bela trilha sonora
22:32 sure you did not fail this one.
What an awesome thing to run into. I know the 64 games are considered putrid (I did kind of like them back in the day though) but their soundtracks were not.
Amazing soundtrack! would it be ok for me to use these covers in my D&D sessions?
Thanks! Sure as long as credit is given. :)
@@Tetsugaku Of course! i grew up with the n64 Castlevanias and i'm super fucking hyped to have the opportunity to use that music (but way better) to set the tone for my players!
I love Akumajou Dracula Mokushiroku :3
O Castlevania 64 saio prematuro era para mas sombrio e partes para dar medo hoje daria para fazê-lo certo
REINHARDT BELMONT
screw it, i will always call him by his real name
wow u made all of these?!?!? im barely 1:18. i'd love to use some extended
especially the prologue Castlevania 64
The melodies are amazing and now with realistic instruments vsti. Well. Nothing whong with this game. People and midia could be cruel. Is The Power of industry publicity. Probabily if this game was released for ps1 The critics dont talk about it in a WAY so cruel.
Wasn't Renon basically the devil and your contract with him was the sale of your soul or something along those lines?
Yeah, he was the shopkeep for items, but if you spent too much gold with him he'd claim that the fine print of the contract said you'd forfeit your soul to him, so he'd become a boss battle along your final steps on the way to fight Dracula. Don't spend too much, and he'll just politely take his leave of you before the final battle.
Anyone else scared as a kid when the statue cried blood and attacked you?
I feel that Castlevania 64 had a better soundtrack than Symphony of the night. But that's just my opinion.
And the reason why that is is the fact that the music in Cv64 are about mood atmosphere and feel while giving it character while Sothn is more bombastic and in your face
@@normbreakingclown676 my guy, you nailed it. Cv64 just hit me harder than sotn did.. the whole game was just great. Again, my opinion.
No forest of silence theme?!?!?
*DISLIKE* xD
Noooooo! :D
