Cat attacks raccoon!

- Posey, our docile and loving little Abyssinian kitty, loves to hangout in the fenced-in backyard at all hours. She was looking for moths or other little bugs to play with, when a raccoon climbed the fence and came into the yard.
The raccoon went into the cat coop (chicken coop) to eat her food. That is when Posey decided she didn't like this invader. To our shocking surprise, Posey attacked the raccoon multiple times before the raccoon retreated backwards up the fence!!
There isn't any sound in this video, as the cameras don't record any. - Домашні улюбленці та дикі тварини
That reverse walk up the chain-link fence by the raccoon was a straight up ninja move!
thats called survival the racoon knew not to turn his back on the cat.
🤣👍
lol that was totally awesome!
hahahahahhahha i was about to comment that same thing, LMOA bro he like said NOOPE aint scratchin my ass like that again..hahah that racoon obviously has had to do that climbing technique before probably many times to get away from other cats and dogs lol
Ikr that's what i thought too 😂👍🦝🥷
Lil homie was so scared he backed up the fence in reverse 😂
I have stray cats and raccoons at work, they all get along pretty well. they are funny to watch.
Facts lol had me cryinggg
One day I was looking down at my cat and happened to glance up to see a raccoon two foot right above my head in a space of the ceiling of my porch. The cat had no idea that it was there.
My respect for cats 🐈 just jumped 100 points. I love that kitty protecting HIS yard.. get out!.. Mr Mask wearing rat.. THIS is my spot!..

Cat: I prepared my whole life for this moment and now the time has come.
Raccoon: Ohhh shit... 👀 *starts climbing backwards*
Dude that got me, I was like wtf, is that his tail up there?
LMFAOOOOOOO
Crazy, he climbed up backwards until he felt safe to turn!
lmao that really surprised me, its actually really impressive that they can do that
The Cat: The time has come and so have I!
That's a bad ass cat!!
No!
That's a normal cat that had any outside experience at all. They're all badass, truly. People have a major misconception of cats because they think of their Grandmother's cats, who were big puffy balls of lazy and gluttony. They're unapproachable and just always angry but a cat that's taken care of like a child or even most dogs act completely different. I've had many who fight anything, follow me anywhere, ride around on my shoulders, come to me when I call them... not 100% obiedence but as high as you can achieve without starvation...cats are heavily underrated for real...
@@chuckdeuces911Facts. Cats are truly amazing. A Dog and Cat duo has to be the greatest friendship in the world. Cats are far better hunters than Dogs too.
So in this situation the racoon came into the cats territory, just so happened to be that this is a large male cat!! should try to make sure he comes in at nigh!!
@@chuckdeuces911 Cats are tough m*fers. Win or lose they always fight.
Never turn your back on the enemy. Well played Mr. Raccoon 🦝!
This was great! It was like watching a real-life cartoon. The raccoon going up backwards up the fence to make sure the cat doesn't attack was hilarious and brilliant.
Them Tom and jerry vibes
pretty cool raccoon moonwalk
I didn't know racoons could do that!!!
Racoon: "Neither did I!"

Lmfao at the raccoon for walking up backwards 🤣 😂 💀 😭 😅 🙃 🤣
He’s smart he know not to turn his back maybe he’s been in some fights 🤔
I never knew they could do that. He must be really scared. 😳😆🤣
Their head and rear end have the least amount of fur and the cat can grab ahold of him. So he protected his back side because the head is where those teeth are. That cat knows that. These guys know each other pretty good. If they were strangers all hell wouldv broke loose.
That cat got confused how that raccoon just climbed that fence backwards
I had no idea racoons could climb up backwards. He pulled a Morpheus or Neo move
Lmao lmao 😂😂
Lmfaoooooo
Only the cat??? I was confused as well. :D
Ive never seen a raccoon do that before. That was trippy
it's fascinating seeing how intelligent both are.
theyve done this millions of times for ages and ages
@@zigzigzig they mortal enemies and the raccoon knows what the cat is capable of
Cat said, " what's up bro? Who do you think you are rolling up in my hood with that mask on?"😂
I love your comment it made me laugh lol about the mask hahaaaaaaaaaaahhhaaaaaa 😅😂
Seems like the cat was territorial. Like, "hey, this is my backyard!"
That is a brave cat.
Foolish cat! Any fully grown raccoon could kill it
@@ytsux9259 lol cat's are no joke and this racoon now's it , cat got claws and teeth , imagine the famous cat move grabbing you then it with back claws
@@ytsux9259 Not. On wildlife cameras it has been spotted many times that wild cats would battle raccoons and also kill them. Often the only animal a raccoon respects that is smaller than itself is a cat. A common saying is that a cat can handle a dog twice it's size and that goes for all animals, as long as it's not more than double the size, the cat has a chance of winning straight up.
@JohnK That's why people should keep their cats inside. Cats are too little to defend themselves against bigger, stronger wild animals. That was a young raccoon and that's why the kitty was able to scare him off.
@JohnK You're just pasting propaganda at this point, go home.
*Cat:* You in the wrong backyard, fool!
Good thing that raccoon had a way out. If cornered, cat may have had more than he could handle.
That cat was trippin' when the raccoon went up the fence backwards..😲😂🤣
hell i was trippin!!! i know the cat like that a new move teach me that shit!

Protecting the flock of chickens in the coop. Good kitty!
Exactly right! I thought that was a chicken coop! Good kitty!!!
@@jeremythompson1593 why would the cat allow other animals to eat it’s food?
The king of cats. Made him back it up. One less yard to visit in the future, and better not catch you on the street either!!!!
I thought for sure kitty was gonna jump the fence after it! Raccoon was running away and Kitty made sure he left his property! 😂
You have a very good cat he protects his territory very well
Racoon: “oh golly I wonder if theres some scrumptious goodies over here”
Cat: *Get out of my yard* 👿🐆
Never even thought a cat would have a chance against a racoon let alone make one climb up a fence backwards to excape. Damn
Cats are ferocious and they won’t stop until they win the fight.
There’s been a few accounts of main coon cats killing pit bulls tho I don’t know if it’s true but it’s just something I heard
That was a big ass cat though, looked only slightly smaller than the coon.
I mean I seen a dog get fucked up by a raccoon so I though a cat had no chance I guess they just built different
@@christianwilliams8967 the thing with cats is they literally don’t give up they will keep going until they get what they want
Cats are no joke an ultimate predator! Mean little guys. Love em!
It looks like the raccoon went to the hen house and the cat wasn't having it
Yeah I was seeing that too because raccoons will viciously kill chickens and eat the breast meat they are worse than foxes
@@chrisarnette6931 ya there crazy I had a raccoon chew through chicken wire in my backyard
In a fight, if it came to it, I don't think the cat would win though. Raccoons are savage and much stronger than you think. Maybe a large cat would, but I'd say 80% of the time the raccoon wins that fight
idk that cat is pretty big
@The_Terror even with claws, raccoon would still win
@@Fhall0ween you never know
The fact that the raccoon isn't guaranteed a win makes it not worth the risk. 80% chance of winning is a 20% chance of losing and just not worth it.
The way the cat stopped in the grill's shadow when the motion light came on was too funny
that's a good kitty. will keep the raccoons out of the trash, lol.

Now that's a real gangster cat. Thats it's yard and it needs to protect it. Well done cat, well done!
Incredible. Pound for pound a cat is a formidable opponent to any animal. As is a raccoon. Neat to see that the cat successfully protected their territory.
that's why they were domesticated to be so tiny...imagine if cats were say, 20 or 30 lbs bigger? they would be a big problem even for humans
This town aint big enough for the both of us
Cats are awesome!!! I love all cats!! 🥰❤
Cat: so you're the one who's been getting into my catnip! 🐱😡

Now I know why my cat likes to go out at night
That is one brave kitty. Mine would have stood there looking at the raccoon and let it knock over our trash. I don't blame my cats. Raccoons can be fierce, are built like miniature bears, and can get twice as heavy as the average house cat. I'm human, and I wouldn't run up to one like that. XD

That's one bad ass cat. I have a huge cat and he just watches raccoons in the yard, even when they eat his food.

What an awesome skill set 👏
The abilitie to climb a gate backwards
The cat recently became famous with a movie called "the exorcism of the racoon" where the racoon does climb all kind of stuff up in reverse (including the ceiling) and screems "taC, taC, taC" all the time...
That face off at the end. Raccoon just started climbing backwards 😂
👍 alright kitty defending the home front 😂❤️

Toms cats are good about keeping trash pandas away.
My male cat's are all neutered so they're just scared of the trash pandas lol
hahahahA- I laughed so much when racoon started to climb the fence backwards. He was "C'mon dude , I am just passing by".

I freaking love cats hahahahaha
We have an 11 pound all white female cat who is very territorial in our yard. She is not much of a hunter, and usually leaves smaller animals alone. She is much more likely to attack the neighbor's dogs, raccoons, fox, etc. I have had to stop her at least three times from attacking leashed dogs being walked by the house.
On one morning a few years back, both cats were hanging out in the backyard when a large male raccoon came along. Both cats were just laying down in a couple different spots watching him dig around in the grass. Both cats had the higher ground advantage. Cali, the cat in my profile pic was up on a wood pile, and Courtney, the bigger white cat was on the seat of a yard chair.
Eventually, the raccoon approached Courtney out of curiosity perhaps. She remained laying down until he went under the chair. At that point she stood up and became more defensive. The raccoon made his way back to the front of the chair, put his front paws up on the seat and tried to sniff Courtney. It was then that she let out a growl that sounded as vicious as any bobcat and clawed the raccoon in the nose which is probably the most sensitive part of the raccoon's body. The coon immediately spun around and fled the yard with Courtney right on his tail.
I watched the entire encounter from a window. I went out to help, but didn't have time. I wish i had it recorded. It would have been a great video, but was more interested in the safety of the animals. Eventually Courtney returned back to the yard, but the raccoon never did. That raccoon was two or three times bigger than the cat.
backwards up the fence is next level
That cat probably takes a petting like no problem too!
Cat is no joke! Clearly more experienced fighter!
The cat stalking something the size of a raccoon is impressive.
I love how bravely cats behave.
racoon backpedalling upwards is the cutest thing I have seen today
That cat was not backing down against a big raccoon. Never seen that before.. 👍

Did that racoons moonwalk up that fence? Dammit boy! How the hell did this video end up in my recommendation window. Smdh. Great video btw

The camera tho, clear and editing was on point!!!
First time I have seen ANYTHING climb a fence backwards! Good kitty!
Cat: this my patch, ninja, better walk, son!
That's the kinda cat I want!!
I never liked cats, UNTIL, my 13 year old daughter begged for a cat. I resisted, but her pregnant teacher not suspecting that she would have another pregnancy decided she didn’t need the 6 month tabby ( her third cat) that she had rescued under the school bleachers. About two weeks after we got it my wife came home from work and found me in my recliner, asleep, with the purring cat in my lap. The purring sound was so relaxing that I would easily dose off. We kept that wonderful cat for 17 years. It was so affectionate with me, my family and would often be curled up in the arms of our young Labrador.
Good job, Posey!
Feral cats are some of the most courageous outdoor pests you will come across.
One of the best cage matches I've seen
Kitty be like - “ Get off my lawn bro” ❗️🤣☠️
that was amazing! She's so brave and smart!
Cat: Tf you doin in my house!!
Racoon: 😳
Good kitty! Much better than one older sister's cat. The cat had a litter of kittens under her deck. A few nights later, a skunk tried for the kittens. She said the neighbors called to ask what the shrieking was. She told them, the cat is chasing off a skunk. A few weeks later you could still smell skunk, but it never came back LOL.
Cat did a great job protecting his hens!
