I live here in UAE for more than a decade and all I can say is that I AM HAPPY AND MY LIFE HERE IS SAFE, unlike other countries your life so unsafe and dirty country, here is so clean and peaceful..... I am Filipino and I love UAE.... Long live Emarati people

LUGGAGE TIP:
Tie two or three colored ribbons of different lengths around the handle to your luggage to warn others that this is not their luggage. People grab luggage at the turnstile and take it home before you ever see it.
Use a man’s “half windsor” knot for the best look.
Anywhere you put your bag, it could be grabbed in error. Example: overhead compartment, unloaded from the bus, at the hotel lobby, turnstile........
Use 3/4” wide ribbons about 12-14” long. Cut the ends at 45 degrees then seal the end with one drop of Super Glue to prevent fraying. If each ribbon is slightly a different length by 1/2” or so, they will all show no matter what. Tie the 3 ribbons as if it were one ribbon using a half Windsor knot.
After it is tied on, the total length of the ribbons will be about 5-6” from the handle. A little longer ribbon shows up better. You can see it from 40 feet away.
Perhaps tie two handles, top and side of case. Put your phone number on one ribbon using a permanent Sharpie.
Choose one ribbon to have an unusual pattern or fabric to really make it unique.
Lay all 3 ribbons on top of one another. Then tie them with a half Windsor knot, same as a man uses.
Stand by the output hole of the turnstile to reduce the chance of someone else grabbing the piece.
Tie your skiies, duffel bag, and what ever with matching ribbons-even your computer case.
If you are a Travel Agent, you could gold stamp one ribbon with your name and phone number. Then send a set of ribbons, red and blue and black to your customer as a gift. Record this gift in your database so you don’t duplicate yourself. Buy a gold hot embossing machine. Gold emboss your business name on the black ribbon. If there is a way to put the customer’s name on it, do that...

What is Pan?
Dubai airport Terminal 1 is much and much luxury than Terminal 2.
Because flights to European countries land/take off from luxury Terminal 1 *and* flights to India, Pakistan, Iran, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, etc. land/take off from Terminal 2.
Sorry Bud , But you're wrong. flights to India take off from all three terminals here in DXB. Terminal two was initially made for cargo planes, that is why it wasn't built as grand as the other terminals. Pls do your research next time yea ?
Teriminal 1 for all non UAE airlnes
Terminal 2 for Flydubai only
Terminal 3 for Emirates flight only

Sir, what happens if there is a new Dubai visitor arriving and they have justifiable and official documentations from highly acclaimed doctors who have patients on a particular justifiable pain narcotic prescription that they have a genuine record for? My aunt had major evasive hip surgeries done to her left hip and she has to take these for a while...but she is thinking about coming to Dubai to enjoy some rest and relax from the stress... Can they permit her through on the condition that she has her genuine documents stations? If she travels, she will come with her husband and her children. Might you have any real expertize in the answer for this type of inquiry? Thank you Sir.

its actually simple .. you bring the documentation for it and you will have to get the approval of the police which takes a bit of time like 20 min or so

Dubai is a DUTY FREE scam ! I am a multi million mile flyer and as usual bought lots of Duty Free stuff When boarding the Emirates FLIGHT they weighed my Duty Free at the gate and charged $ 200 excess baggae. I RETURNED EVERYTHING to the shop for credit and almost missed the flight. I swear i will never ever return to this so called DF paradise.

I took my morphine and percocet tablets from CVS (tUSA) there & when they asked what it's for, I explained due to my chronic pain in my foot and knee (16 surgeries- 2 ankle replacement & I see replacement). They had no problems with it.
Did you tell them you had the pills or they discovered them in customs? Also did you register them online or bring a Dr. Letter? Just curious, im about to head over there and im uneasy about it. I could leave them at home but I will be miserable.

You can go with your meds and won’t have any problem at all. I’ve been several times with my meds with no problem. They are talking abt drugs that most country won’t allow you to come in with.

It comes from the betel nut and is a light recreational drug of some sort. I know that they serve it wrapped in gold leaf at parties in Pakistan and probably India as well. Dubai is extremely strict with ALL drugs, even prescription medications so if you are on any type of medication, make sure your doctor writes a prescription for you and even a letter addressed to Dubai customs. Do research before you travel because you will need a letter even if you are only transiting Dubai airport.

Paan is a type of Indian Bettel Leaf that is bitter and usually smeared with herbs ( sometimes crushed drugs are used) that Indian people eat.

What if you have health problems (epilepsy) plus anxiety and sleeping issues when you travel especially when your flight will be more than 12 hours; how do get those medications approved? Is it through the embassy?
Ivon Johnson You gotta provide medical report to prove that your story is legit regarding health problems + Its always best to speak with the embassy for further advice.

My mother carried all her medicines including insulin from Pakistan to Sharjah. We also had froozen cooked food. Had no problem. Just make sure you dont have narcotic drug.
