First of all the Philippines is the 2nd largest country in the world consisting of 7,300 tropical Islands, there are higher altitudes and lower altitudes and the climate is not the same all over the Philippines ! If your a cowboy at heart then the Philippines is perfect, but if you expect creature comforts then Thailand is the place for you!

I've been here over a year now and am generally satisfied. However, I agree with all this gentleman says. The philippines is not for everyone. I strongly agree with his recommendation you first make an exploratory visit. I think for a month or two if you can.

I’m 5’10” medium build and I was maxed out on all the sizes. It’s surprising how sparse expat numbers can be even in BGC. Watching all the vloggers you’d think they’re everywhere but they can be few and far between.

Hello Jasper. I will be in BGC 1/12-1/21 taking a short scouting trip to see how things are in Manila. This will be my 4th time visiting, mainly Visayas region with past visits. If you have time, we should get together and meet. I'll be with my filipina, so maybe we can all meet so she will have someone to chat with too.

Jasper, Discovered your channel via Regular Guys latest livestream last night. Glad I did!
Now in the process of catching up on your videos and doubt my comments and questions will receive much attention therein the respective comment sections. So here’s a quick one: Who are the hostesses in Boracai you mentioned? Bar girls? Hotel front desk? I honestly am not familiar with that term in a Philippines context. Thanks and Happy New Year!

I highly recommend guy's visit the Philippines before deciding to move permanently also do lot's of research read and watch as many videos on the country as you can find.
I also want to point out being on a 2 or 3 week vacation and living permanently in a developing country is different.

I had enough of u.s. here...almost 60 ... I don't look 60 and don''t feel it either..handful think i'm in mid 30's..... i'm going to retire there, I can adapt easily, born there myself in Angeles City.. build a tinyhome like Zen so i just need few pillows just to sit on the floor.. lol 😂jk.. a minimalist I will be.... with solar panel grid and small tank of water ...maybe small business extra income like 4 to 6 apartment to rent. .. not going to live in the cities. too cold here.. too much gun shooting on daily basis .. adults and children being killed and i'm in Minnesota!.. not the same 4 decades ago like Little house on the Prairie!

Regarding the milk. I bought refrigerated president milk, the french brand, at rustans last month. Or marketplace or whatever it is called nowadays. the one in greenbelt 1. 250 pesos. only to figure out is the same crap with an expiry date that my future grand children are still able to drink it. Even the premium brand of that shit costs less than 2 euro in holland.

I agree most points . been here 1.4 years now and ..rub in a SCAM relate a lot even with the brother + sister advised my 63 yo GF (we both are same age) told here DO NOT Be in a rush. Hospitals and cost get repaid is a nightmare. REPAYING even when they have to TAKES months. The people are friendly and helpful, but services sucks . Bureaucratic system here that i even not seen in the previous USSR !!. BEEN here is complete different from been here 2 months - 10 years long. I'm in the process to return where i came from a shithole as well Belgium/Europe.
