Jasper, again you nailed it with advice. Being on the rebound is dangerous. Someone from a fresh breakup really needs to do a lot of internal self analysis and be careful not to make hasty decisions. A new envonment like the PH is a good way to reset, but please everyone, take it slow and really know yourself and what fits for you and your future.
Don’t get handcuffed at the airport don’t commit to anyone right away. Just take a nice vacation maybe/discovery trip if you have the finances to move here and stay single for a while guys it will be hard to do in the Philippines, but the attention will certainly do wonders for self-esteem.
I agree with this video! BUT, take your brain and your common sense with you. MAKE a list of 10 to 20 things to do in the Philippines for you except for a prearranged meet & greet with a Filipina. Challenge yourself. Are you the master of your domain? Go collect data and investigate to see if it's a good fit for you based on purely you!!! Your contentment in retirement can prolong your life, but not if you get caught up in some situationship drama. That's what most people aim for in retirement. The Filipina should compliment that or NO DEAL. No room for debate either. Take it ot leave kind of abundance mindset. Be a gentleman and be respectful but you aren't going to blindly lose yourself entirely to adapt. Simple as that. If she doesn't fit you like a glove, Next! Feelings is the other guy's problem. Or just use the PI as a base to travel from. Renting condos is fairly cheap even if you don't sign a 1 year lease. Grab a condo for a month or two and enjoy the location. Use the P.I. as a hub to travel the rest of Asia for a weekend or week long trips to places like Malaysia, Vietnam and Thailand. Filipinas can travel to most Asian countries without a visa...if you feel like getting away with her for a long weekend. Then switch condos and check out a new place. You don't need to hit a bunch of Home Runs, just hit for a high average. Enjoy getting "on base". Cheers!
Yeah, I don’t know where you’re going to grab one for a month or two you need to grab it for six months minimum or you’re probably gonna be going through the Airbnb app on a one month or but still affordable to some extent

But if you have the cash and flexibility and don't plan to stay for extended periods of time, an Airbnb can work out pretty well. It depends on what you are looking for. The Philippines is the 4th largest English speaking nation in the World. Almost everyone speaks some English and women looking to date a foreigner WILL speak English. Also, The PI is 90% Catholic...so if you prefer a Christian girl, it may be an advantage. Thailand does not speak as much English, making dating and life in general a little tougher. Christianity in Thailand is a small minority of the population. Thailand is a little more modern and affluent than the PI (other than BGC). So it just depends on what you are looking for.
