Nice job! Thanks for all the detail on the wheel and your fairings. I made cabinets for 9+yrs, so love the creative parts! Can't wait to see what you and Dawn think of this wheel!
Excellent job with the pad set up! Looks very sharp! Taking the original pads off the ex-30 is like when Rocky took off Adrians glasses and said, "I always knew you were pretty." lol
Are yall going to demonetized EUC prices, that would be a huge win for the community. Still have too many questions how yall going to handle the warranty, prices, ect.
Here's a tip dealing with velcro. You gotta shove a wooden spoon or spatula and then work it open while also shoving in thick cardboard between the velcro to keep it open as you go.
In the bicycle industry i would deflate the tire, give the 2 wire beads a squeeze all the way round, then put enough air in to make sure it was correctly set or evenly placed. Then gradually hyper inflate the tire well beyound the maxium pressure, check it, then reduce to a normal level. More important when you are dealing with a 25mm wide tire at 120 psi i suppose, but the principle is much the same.
A great opportunity to introduce wood screws to the Begode lineup… oh -wait! 😂 👍🏻👍🏻 Looking forward to the fiddleback maple limited edition Marty Backe ‘signature’ model. Move over, Stradivarius! Marty, I gotta say, your Backe-sides look great, lol!!
Great setup Marty! I was bouncing back and forth between this and the Commander Pro to succeed my trusty EX20S but with such positive praise all around so far for this wheel, I think getting one is inevitable for me. Just need to figure out how to get that blue out since it clashes with my signature red/black/white color scheme. Looking forward to more impressions, especially when you hit those mountain roads!
There are reports coming in that it has incline problems going downstairs or up a steep hill. Going downstairs it hit the kickstand and potentially the edge of the battery boxes near it. Can you investigate?
Well, I saw one video where that was the case but the tire was seriously underinflated. A local rider has climbed and descended steep hills with no issues. I'll have more to say over time.
Love it! When are you selling those fairings Marty?! I got my card ready! :P Stupid question but when the wheels suspension is in motion will the seat compress and/or rub against the side fairing foam? Didn't look like there was enough space to account for the up and down action of the top part of the wheel.
@@ElectricUnicycles ah ok! Good to know; thanks Marty! My only experience with suspension wheels so far has been the V11 my wife has and that seat seems to moves with the suspension but it’s a different design than this one obviously. Can’t wait to get my hands on my EX30! Jason said they should be arriving by the end of the month.
A fairing system is what I made - side panels for protection and mounting of pads. As I stated in the video, I made them from wood and painted for weather resistance (I rarely if ever ride in rain - Southern California 🙂)
I gave Lem my down payment for an EX30 yesterday. Is the "jump" section of the power pads (over the foot) even needed on a 100 pound wheel like this? I only have the shin/calf sections on my Monster Pro and can't remember any times where I though I needed "lift support". Maybe this wheel is better suited for offroad than a MP and they couldn't hurt. I love having those big flat parallel sections of Velcro on the sides that you can attach whatever you want to. It's an extension of the modular nature of the wheel. Are you going to try to pad/raise the seat?
I think the EX30 is certainly a wheel that you could jump over little obstacles for which the lower part of the power pads could be useful. Also useful for keeping your feet on the pedals in rough conditions. I may to make a seat extension.
very nice handmade protection 🙌🏻 i am now guessing what of youre euc will leave the house next with all these amazing suspension euc with nearly unlimited range😏😂
What's about the range of this 3600wh Big wheel ? I'm actually ride the Begode Hero but i'm looking for a bigger wheel for long rides. Does the EX30 has a better range than the Commander Pro 50S ?
I recently got a Master Pro and tried a bunch of different adhesive tapes and none stuck pretty much at all to the battery boxes. Gorilla was the least bad. However i found the solition! I had a rattlecan of clear coat that i sprayed some in the lid and then used a brush to coat the battery boxes where the original pads adhesive sits only and they are on there like glued. All the other tapes stuck hard to the clearcoat as well.
Woooah for a sec there, I thought I might me seeing a Marty clone. 1st ever, this particular Marty didnt scringe his face doing a Gotway teardown & scream 'trash'. Are we sure we have the right Marty? 😅 Nice diy fairing. Much cheaper as well. Now we need the same Marty to test ride the wheel & scream wowwwwweeeee! 🤣
I don't understand why Begode chooses to use these metal battery boxes that aren't smooth like the S22 boxes. Apparently it makes it hard to stick pads on them. Granted most people are probably gonna get a plate but like...
im afraid for our hobby that the price and speed on these new wheels are getting to the point that one stupid riders accident will get the attention of ignorant law makers who know nothing about these pevs and gets us all banned from public roads.
I'm watching your video!
Nice job!

Good. I enjoyed the fabrication / mod of the wheel
Oh it's such lovely craftsmanship and care over the details - what a very rewarding video to watch :)
Thank you very much!
I was wondering when we'd get to see you use your shop. Great stuff 👏 👍🏾
Another banger from the "Wheel Father" Marty Backe! Thanks for all you do! See you again real soon 😉
impressive craftsmanship, what a nice aesthetic improvement !
Thanks Mark
I love what you did, I will definitely need to add some protection when I get my 1st EUC.
"Building the fairing System" should really be a full ASMR lol
You join wood like you join the community!
Great video, Marty! Thank you! Can’t wait to see you and Dawn’s review on this beast!!!
Great informative video and impressive custom fairing system. 😻
вау, эти панели смотрятся великолепно, лучшее решение что я видел!

Brilliant job with the side panles Marty, wow....... I have aV13 and really consdiering also getting the EX30......
You look excited to get started with this Marty
Really looking forward to your thoughts on this wheel. Nice job on the side panels!
Tire change advice applies to EX20S, if you watched my videos you would know this!
Good to know! I was pretty sure this technique works with all the current Begode wheels. Hey, I watch all your videos, except for some :-)
Thanks for sharing your shell/cover fabrication.
if i decide to purchase the ex30
from Lem, i will use your added design. i honestly really like the looks!
Glad you like it!

@Marty As always, an exceptional craftmanship done with regards to your side panels.

In suspension wheels only the tire, inside the shell moves. The seat/top is rigidly connected to the sides, etc.

It looks like there is room for taller battery packs if someone could design them. What do you think?
Absolutely 👍
omg your are very genius ! thank you for your helping for all ! you are the reel best teacher ;)

those panels look dope 👌
looks amazing
what is a fairing system? Also is that wood that you made it out of? Will it last even considering rain?

All the 3600wh wheels get essentially the same range
I've seen Dawn on her Channel who said 60 miles (at slow speed). My friends on Sherman S ride almost 150km on max range. So it's not really the same 😂
@@in2theair67 I ride with Dawn all the time. Her "slow" speeds are in the 30's.

Thanks for the video!!🙏
Great video
Nice wheel
“ Begode Made in China” proudly emblazoned on the wheel cover.
did you find the velcro stayed stuck after cleaning down the side of the battery boxes? if so what solution you use?

side by side with master pro.
Do more wood working videos, I am interested
I have a woodworking channel (bigger than my EUC channel) but unfortunately I don't post their too often right now. ua-cam.com/users/martybacke
Marty did you slim the tire on the ex30?
Since this is not mine, I did not. But when my personal EX30 arrives I will be adding ~6-oz of Slime.
Where do you get Velcro of that size from?
Amazon
Would you be willing to sell a set of those fairings? I love the look and am not a woodworker 😂
Unfortunately I don't have any time to make items like this for other people. Sorry.
cool lookin helmet.
👍👍
Whats your choice -v13 or ex30?
No question, the EX30

Yeah I don't. Begode often doesn't make the best design choices. First plastic, now corrugated metal. The next iteration will problem be smooth :-)

Try brush on some clear coat where the adhesive goes and let dry. Tape now sticks.
