- Hi guys! I'm finally heading back to LA from Montana and wanted to take you guys along for the journey! We head over through Walla Walla, Washington and down through Bend, Oregon and have a really fun adventure visiting the lavender fields in Hood River, cherry picking and antiques shopping! Hi Daniel! About the colonization, it was Indigenous peoples. (I’m Canadian Indigenous) not Indians. I’m really glad that someone with a larger platform actually mentioned this. And when Europeans colonized Canada, (there were only Indigenous people before colonization) they put us Indigenous people into “residential schools” where all these nuns and priests took away Indigenous children and placed them in these residential schools. The schools were meant to erase and white wash indigenous cultures. The Catholic Churches thought the Europeans were more superior than us, so all these Indigenous kids were emotionally, physically abused and were not being taken care of. They didn’t feed them proper food to be healthy. My own mother went to residential schools. I’m very thankful that you mentioned this because most people just don’t care. Even the Canadian prime minister doesn’t give a shit about it.
And there were so much trauma that we had because of these schools. It caused many Indigenous people to become homeless and most of them cope with generations of trauma by alcoholism and drug use

Love when you are on the road and take us with you. Never saw a cherry tree like that before, just couldn't believe how many large clusters of cherries on every branch. The field of Lavender reminded me of France, can only imagine how lovely it smelled. Storm and Monte are so good and well behaved, they must be enjoying themselves with all the new sights and smells. Hope you enjoyed yourself as much as I did learning about the locations with some interesting history. Have a safe trip Daniel as you come back to California, we miss you.

Had a cherry tree in Boise, mini plums, pears and apples in Portland and i LOVE Walla Walla sweets!!

My family used to go cherry picking in Cherry Valley. My grandmother would pit and put in a mason jar covered with Brandy. They last forever in the fridge! Great memories. 😊

Thanks for posting your road trips. Such beautiful country its a pleasure to see everything where you and the pups visit.
Been to Bend Oregon as a child on family vacation. Saw a Big Bear at the river near our cabin and ran away scared sh** less! Bats came out at night and blue jays took food off our plates in the morni g lol! We were definitely being welcomed by the wildlife!
I love your road trip videos. I take my dog on trips too, and those little boxes of Stella's dog food are the best.
I could be wrong but I believe the amazing Adam West was born in Walla Walla. Mr. West played Batman in TV series in the 60's. The ones with Miss Julie Newmar as Catwoman were my favorite.

I live in a small town in NC & when the Interstate Highway was built the town began to die & when the textile mill closed it almost turned into a ghost town ,butthankfully it has slowly begun to rebuild with quaint little shops : 2 coffee shops ,a thirft store ,a consignment shop ,a flowershop ,A drugstore with a soda/ice cream counter, 2 gas statiions and several fast food restuarants as well as a Family (Homecooked style)Restuarant ,there still many empty building but thev toen is still rebounding . Unfortunately so many small towns are folding down due to varies reasons & are not able to rebound!

If you love lavender, you should check out Sequim, WA. We just got back from their lavender festival. Sequim is surrounded by lavender farms and there’s was one that had the cutest rental house on the farm. You’d love it!
As a WA native we all pass through Walla Walla lol but also going through Yakima you need to try Miners Burgers. So huge and delicious but can be pricier than like mcdonalds.

come up to british columbia in the fall, you'll enjoy the temperature Sept/Oct. especially the Okanagan area. Lots of fruit and wineries and great hiking trails.

Hi Daniel, Storm and Monty! You missed the best cherries in the world and you were right there! FLATHEAD LAKE 🍒 CHERRIES! THEY ARE THE BEST!!! next summer you need to try them!! And u pick! Its wonderful and peaceful, we do it every year!!! Look into some Montana history, it is very interesting, dont just stay up north west, travel around and hike that is what Montana is! ❤

When our apartment was being renovated we had to stay in a hotel. Needless to say we were there for a year. And didn’t realize there was mold in the AC’s. My BF had gotten sick, we didn’t know why. Then I was deathly sick for an entire month. NEVER again.

babe i grew up in a town where there was more horses and cows than PEOPLE. not even kidding like 100 population and only 1 gas station!! we made it out of the trenches but.. small communities have their benefits! everyone knows each other, life moves A LOT slower. its not the vibe for me but i learned a lot of community skills growing up where i did!
Glad you visited N Idaho finally if you ever come through CDA and want to experience what locals do you’re welcome to come four wheeling and atving with my family and I lol it’s huckleberry season we found so many yesterday up the St.Joe where we have a cabin and all spend the weekends
