Good luck with your plans. For the astronaut fabric, I think you could fairly easily draft your own pattern. I am thinking of a pinafore-style dress. A simple sleeveless bodice, with open neck and finishing just below the bust. Quite loose-fitting so it can just be pulled over the head. Then the core patterned fabric could just be attached to the bodice in some way that won't interfere with the pattern - probably gathers or loose pleats. You could then wear it with plain tops underneath.
As always I love your vlog. With the pale pink fabric I would leave until spring and make into wide leg trousers and s waistcoat. The beautiful seafoam colour second fabric I would make into a slip dress but with wide straps .You could then wear it on its own or with blouses underneath. The astronaut fabric needs to be made into a dress with the plain fabric making up the top and the print as the main body.
For the astronaut fabric, maybe a zero waste kimono to wear over dresses or a zero waste dress to optimise the fabric both normally have large pattern pieces for optimum cutting.
Lovely! I really enjoy your colorful and playful makes. I have recently made Closet Core Jenny trousers. They have a lapped zipper in the side seam. I enjoyed installing it. They have wide legs, but also a tapered leg version and you can turn them into overalls with a bib. I used cotton poplin with orange flowers for my first pair, but have some black linen for a fall version. But I might make another cotton poplin one with flowerprint. 🌼🌸🌷
You might like the Emerson pants by True Bias for your wide leg pink trousers, they are a flat front but elasticated back. Love the crochet fabric for your cardigan.
Astronaut - ooh what about a trapeze dress?? Merchant and Mills have a great one. You could piece it if you didn't have the length. I like that they are all-season because you can style them like a pinafore with a polo neck top and tights underneath
I canceled my SHJ subscription but when I saw the fabric that you made your dress from I ended up buying one of the extra boxes! I love your dress, great pattern and very well sewn.
Your astronaut fabric, I think, would look really cool as a boiler suit (if you have enough fabric). Originally I thought that it needed a pattern where the print was in one section but then I thought if it was cut out so the pattern showed across the front pieces that would be striking and a boiler suit would be a wink and nod to a space suit. As always, I enjoy your videos.
The tessuti Chiara trousers have a side zipper and are wide legged but not too wide, I think they would be amazing in your pick embroidered fabric with or without the waistcoat
What about using the astronaut fabric to make a bubble skirt? You'd show off the print, have an elasticated waist possibility, and have an art piece. That mint lightweight brocade would make a nifty pairing with the astronaut fabric-- maybe a dramatic puffed-sleeved jacket, or if you want it standalone, the Caramiya Dragonfruit Dress with the frilly sleeves.
Great plans... What about using your astronaut fabric for the buffet dress you sent for printing or a kimono type dress that you can wear a top under it... perhaps that way you will have enough fabric to use to keep the astronaut s in one piece🤔🤔
I think the linen would make great Safiya trousers from Tilly and the Buttons.. I think for not getting much done this week you got a lot done.. wow.. YOu are so talented
I love your quilted jacket, the finish looks very professional. I think the linen would be great as the Safiya trousers by Tilley and the buttons . I made them using the SewHayleyJane tropical print (that you were wearing with your pink tee shirt) They're elasticated at the back. Wide legged but not as wide as your tropical print trousers. They're super comfy, and really quick to sew up. 😊
Thank you for a fabulous video, what about the new French Navy Langston trousers for the pink linen, they have an elasticated waist and a fly with some lovely carpenter type details.
I like the Pattern Scout Birch vest and I can’t wait to try the new vest from Itch To Stitch that was just released. I prefer waistcoats that are not oversized, hence those choices for me. Thanks for showing the projects in Brogan’s book. They’re really cute! The Party Dress would look amazing on you. You should make that one up just because you can! 😂 You could wear it out to dinner with your husband. 😘
I don't know if they are your style but for the astronaut fabric maybe a caftan that you can cinch at the waist to your liking but would have the back free to display the fabric or a duster like the seamwork quince....
May I suggest the astronaut fabric to try the love notions Vivace dress. The front and back of this pattern are cut on the fold which will allow for the material to shine.
For the astronaut fabric, you could consider a dresscoat so an overlayer that you could wear out of the house? Fitted upper half, and a full skirt-style lower half. If it's too lightweight, then you could even use it as a stunning lining for a dresscoat
For the first precious fabric a vest is a great idea ,u can try the joy vest from style arc patterns and for the astronauts fabric a boiler suit will be amazing

Hi Liz. If you want a waistcoat, you can get a free pattern from Maison fauve. The pom pom waistcoat. It's really good

The mint green fabric would be perfect for evening wear, pity you haven't got something coming up that you could make for
Fabulous makes love it all❤😊

Your mint coloured fabric is quite 'Vampire's Wife' type fabric and would make a beautiful FG Peony dress if you had enough.

Definitely agree the astronauts need to be a dress. Freya by Veronica tucker?

I absolutely love the dress you’re wearing I this video ❤
For the astronaut fabric, maybe a duster or kimono style dress/jacket could work.

Astronaut - could you make the dovestone dress, and cut the front on the fold?
