I saw it as a little kid and it traumatized me and I tried finding it in the newer movie and it wasn't there and I thought I must have imagined that part but here it is . as a little kid it terrified me so much
I saw this as a small child and it scared the hell out of me. The part where the flowers bloom at the end and feature the faces of all the victims the plant ate gave me nightmares.
@@Danieru-San Probably the utterly saccharine, sugary sweet, phony baloney "happy" ending that Frank Oz, (Who absolutely hated it!!!), was forced to film because test audiences didn't like a "downer" ending. Fortunately you can see the wonderful, fantastic original ending in the Director's cut of the film!!
Usually I prefer the original of things, like the original Doctor Who and the book of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. But 'The Little Shop of Horrors' is just crap. The musical and the movie are sooooo much more better.
You can watch the full feature on the Wikipedia page. I actually prefer this ending to the 1986 film!
I'm pretty sure Frank Oz does too.
I love how Seymour and Audrey are just ignorantly planning a date whilst in the background Mushnik is terrified of this GOLIATH VEGETAL
I got the chance to watch this gem today and the part with the face flowers was the creepiest part. Darker than the 80s version for sure.
Have you seen the original ending to the 86 movie?
Joker one of my fav movies, and fav endings

To be fair, at least the plant was likeable in the 80s version

Me too! It still creeps me out, it's the uncanny valley effect of those faces.
I love this version and the musical
4:23 Absolutely killed me
wtf was that??? 🤣🤣🤣
FEED ME SEYMOUR
The ending is actually really creepy, it's the faces and the fact they can still SPEAK.
3:55 When do aliens get a attitude? I mean, for real?
Updated in the stage version to “Cut the crap, and BRING ON THE MEAT!”
and that lady's and gentlemen is why you don't feed a plant blood
Shut up and bring on the food!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Jack Nicholson in his first role..
I hate how underrated this is, yes the 80’s is probably better but cmon man show some effort for them
this movie is a classic, funnier than the musical one
And no domestic abuse
@@magicalpasta5462 So domestic abuse is to much in a movie but people being killed and fed to something is a ok
@@Insultedyeti712 because an alien plant not real, domestic abuse tho
@@magicalpasta5462 the domestic abuse plot made the movie way more interesting
think god for the 1980s ending
Which one?

@@makinapacal i've seen both versions. DC wins. Absolute masterpiece
Well the 80s version is much more entertaining
@@MoeJaxon DEATH TO ALL
The original little shop of horrors. So is Audrey Jr. an alien like Audrey ll ???
You know it was pretty unclear
@@lindsaypaige4628 well they could have revealed it's origin
Nope, the wiki says that it was a Crossbreed between a Venus Flytrap and a Butterwort that Seymour purchased at a Japanese flower shop
@@That_Mazzini_Fan Seymour lied.
@@kevindavis296 Oh well
Why is it in color
No idea, I only seen the B/W version.
Some people can't cope with B&W so they colorize old movies.
1st time the original sucked
Hot take: but I prefer this one only because not a fan of the fact the 80’s one used domestic abuse as a subplot for a otherwise musical comedy
The 80s version is much better
This one is, only because no domestic abuse between Semore’s crush and her bf tbh I hate domestic abuse used as a plot for a normally good comedy
@@magicalpasta5462 to be fair, the domestic abuse isn’t used for comedy-it’s to make the audience side with Seymour when he kills him.
The worst 6 minutes spent of my life.
You've led a pretty charmed life so far then.
Give me the musical any day. Thank God for the musical. This is utter crap.
“If you’re so hungry then go eat...forget about meee ):” lmao it’s so bad

@@wardproductions2792 This movie was made in a couple of evenings in a leftover set from another movie and probably mostly improvised so - yeah.
