- Roger Corman's 1960 film, later remade by Frank Oz, tells the tale of a florist who encounters a man-eating plant.
The film was the basis for an Off-Broadway musical, Little Shop of Horrors, which was notably made into a 1986 feature film and enjoyed a 2003 Broadway revival, all of which have attracted attention to the 1960 film.
Classic 🎥,thanks
I remember this movie as a child. It was scary but fun. It is just the kind of thing the early 60's, the last remnant of the fun, light hearted 50's offered. I am thankful for the back drop of the silly things that colored my childhood. Songs like Ally Oop, lyrics you could not even understand, Papa U mow mow! It was a silly time in some ways and this movie, while a bit dark, is a part of it.

Fun fact: The woman who plays Audrey also voiced the character named Melody from the 1970 Josie and the Pussycats cartoon.
And she along with Dick Miller was in both Gremlins films as The Futtermans.
What a funny and strange little movie! Jack Nicholson is so young! Was this his movie debut?
Is Seymour still alive when he turn into a flower
It was actually his fourth, but this was early in his career, and funnily enough his presence was prominently featured on the early home video releases of the film even though he really isn't an important character to the plot.
is this Little Shop of Horrors movie in the public domain?
The plant reminded me of my X- wife ! Wanting my Blood
Why? Was she a giant carnivorous plant?

The dreadfulness is what makes it so perfect!!! Ed Wood dire levels, it's crappiness is what inspired the remakes, for Broadway and later the movie musical. Ridiculous, hilarious, splendiferous!
