It never occurred to me that Shadowheart's mistrust of Lae'zel in the beginning stemmed from more than the githyanki's violent reputation. She was straight up being hunted by them and didn't know if Lae'zel was one of the ones sent after her. That explains so much because, even though the other companions are hesitant about Lae'zel, they were never outright hostile and defensive.
Hey man, thank you so much for making this video. It’s incredibly well made, and there’s no other videos that explain bg3’s story this in detail and for this long (all the other videos are literally like 10 minutes). I just finished bg3 and I’m in the midst of heavy post game depression after pouring 130 hours into it. Watching a video going over the entire game’s events let’s me recount everything me and my group went through and feel satisfied/put it all behind me. I know I’m showering you with compliments at this point but your story telling is honestly phenomenal. Your use of music, your voice, the pacing, and the linearity of the story were all top notch. I treated the video like an audio book and I was still able to understand perfectly everything that was happening. I also really liked how you managed to explain dark judiciar Shadowheart without splitting the story and over complicating. You should really keep doing these kinds of videos for all sorts of games. It sucks to see that you didn’t get very many views for this video, but regardless you should be proud of yourself
Thanks DaDonkas! Yeah unfortunately this video style did not seem to have mass appeal, but I’m still glad I made it and I still do plan to try story videos for other games in the future. They will just likely be games with more obscure stories. Thanks for watching/listening!

Nicely done. I haven't been able to find a single baldur's gate 3 story deep dive/analysis on UA-cam. Would love to, on account that I don't believe I'll ever end up playing it. Hoping someone makes one soon.
This video does a pretty good job at encapsulating the BG3 Story, at least from Shadowheart's perspective! Unfortunately, given the performance of this video, I am not sure I will be doing another BG3 story video.

I feel the Emperor got done dirty here, while I definitely think it makes sense for him to have reservations about freeing Orpheus it made absolutely no sense to join the Netherbrain as a result. Spending the entire game telling you they're the enemy only to join them because of one choice is simply bad writing on Larian's part. Solid video as well!
Yeah I would have preferred at least having a chance to persuade the emperor to see reason. Or at least have Orpheus react violently towards him so that he runs away.

As a guy who has played Baldur's Gate 2: Shadows of Amn and Throne of Bhaal and had Minsc and Viconia in my party during those games, I can assure you that she was only joking, even Minsc understood that, but he found her sense of humor disturbing. Apparently 120 years later he forgot that she was only joking. (Their banter in Baldur's Gate 2 Shadows of Amn) Viconia: "Minsc, I am finding myself unable to deny your effectiveness in battle." Minsc: "Eh... Boo, was that a compliment?" Viconia: "Oh, it was, and your response is the reason for my query. Just how old is Boo?" Minsc: "Boo? He is young by the standards of his giant miniature cohorts." Viconia: "So he has exceeded the normal lifespan of a normal rodent of his type?" Minsc: "I believe he takes offense to the term "rodent"." Viconia: "Perhaps he bears examining. Some form of exploratory dissection. It was an art in my homeland." About the night song quest line, I’ve heard online that you have to complete a quest in act 1? I’m might not have completed side quests in act 1 or do I remember. Can you still do the night song quest line in just act 2? I’ve also heard that you can also travel from act 1 and 2 in order to do the side quest if you wish to progress with the Shadowheart storyline. I’m just afraid that might not get the chance to fast travel back to the Goblin Camp back in act 1.
Thanks, I felt I’ve already earned Shadowheart’s approval and my character and her made out after saving the refugees from the Goblin invasion. I guess I’ll find that Night Song quest starter in the camp anyway.
Gotta admit, the reasoning behind why the Sharrans wanted the Prism felt lackluster to me. The Gith and the Absolutists I think were fine but the Sharrans were the weakest reasoning imo.
Hang on. The game says several times that you are a Baldurian (unless you choose Outlander background), yet the abductions happened in Yartar, which is far to the North of the Gate. Were all our characters in Yartar for some reason?
Very well made video, many thanks. Shadowheart is my favourite companion and romance option becouse of great character arc and her personality, second being Astarion for just how hilarious he is, but only as a companion becouse I'm totally not interested in dating men. Like and subscribe from me 👍

Shadowheart is my second favorite, next to Astarion. I really love her story and character. I also had lots of fun playing her origin story.
I didn’t love her as a companion but her story interests me so I’m hoping I enjoy using her as an origin more

I killed Viconia too. I stabbed her without hesitation after everything she had done to Shadowheart, my character's beloved.
Shadowhearts my type love her only thing that could make her better is if she was a tiefling

You can go back to the goblin camp before going to the shadow fell. But not after.
