Regarding the Durge character's appearances if you don't pick him, the dark mind on the nautiloid in the beginning is his, and his body is in Orin's room in the Temple of Baahl. It's not much but it's something
You missed the best interaction with Vlaakith. The goofy wave your character can give to her rather than kneeling. That and Laezels reaction to it are gold 🤣
Karlach talking to the player is not a blender animation and is in fact an existing conversation in the game that is still hidden. Matter of fact, there is a mod to permit this dialog to happen without triggering it naturally, since we obviously havent found a way yet to trigger it.
I got one to add. So you know in the game your actually being followed by someone!? I was in the house of healing, right by the masons guild. I noticed a random cart looked like it had some odd particle effects. As if it was burning. I went to check it out. As I approached the cart I saw her, it was none other than Korrilla!! The moment I got too close she teliported back to the hells. I was on my 4th playthrough when I noticed that and it blew my mind that I never saw that before untill now, It makes perfect sense because she admits to knowing you closely in act 3 when you meet her.
I missed that! And her appearing at camp in act 1. I first found out about her at Sharess’s Caress, and on my second play through she was also at the Elfsong Tavern. It was only then, when I felt like it was so creepy to be “watched” by Raphael’s warlock.
I’d also point out that shadowheart’s powers can only be weakened by shar herself, since that is where her power comes from, so the tadpole may weaken her physically, but her faith in shar was unaffected by it. Also, Raphael knows where you are and what you’re doing because one of his agents is following you. You can see her every now and then, and you can speak to her in the brothel in baldur’s gate.
Maybe something to add: Lady Incognita and the Tourmaline Depths. Lady Incognita is the new/fake name of one of Cazador Szarr's nieces (I think), and the Tourmaline Depths are the dwarven (they think) mines/tunnels beneath Cazador's palace. Also there's a secret puzzle room in the palace that no one has solved because it's bugged.
I really appreciate you making this because after finishing my second run, I'm looking for more baldurs gate discussion video rather than gameplay. Keep up the good work
Oh man, Raphael as a soul coin merchant gives me hope for a really cool mod that brings that back. It can be called “Welcome to The House of Hope” modders feel free to take that idea and run with it free of charge lol
The Karlach repair thing really pissed me off because there were all kinds of hints in Act 3 that there might have been a way to fix her. I actually thought at the foundry there might be a chance because not only does Karlach's heart respond to the first Steel Watcher the party meets but you get stopped by the Steel Watcher who mistakes her for one. I thought maybe the blind gondian might also mistake her for one and when her circumstances are explained offer that cure. All the steel watchers shed infernal metal when you kill them but there is nothing to do with them but sell them. I think the goal was originally that you need that metal for her repair.
43:38 i'd like to add it has recently been revealed that the interaction with karlach's 4th wall break does exist in the game and is fully real, but is locked behind an "impossible" flag, meaning you can only access the scene if you mess with the code and set that flag to false. several other cut voice lines and alternate player responses to things are also locked behind that flag :)
I have the latest version of the game and it doesn't work or it's broken because the game automatically thought she was dead after I made her unconscious . I had the same problem when I tried to do the same with wyll or karlach
@@UA-camChillZone it only work of she has 'temporary hostile' as attribute, its best if you steal from her table and refuse to give it to her, it worked now twice for me
tip for the future: you don't let pictures stay on the screen long enough. I found myself having to go back so many times and try to snipe the pause button to read/look at them.
Baldur's Gate 3 is the 5th Baldurs Gate video game not including remasters. As there was Baldur's Gate 1, 2, BG Dark Alliance, and BG Dark Alliance 2. I don't get why the pronunciations are so off, since... the whole game is voiced. You can hear them say Oh-mel-E-um , and MURK-el. (Sorry for the teasing on this ^_^ but im going to keep doing it) Shar is the goddess of darkness too, actual darkness. The Absence of all. It was not "not darkness but the darkness in peoples hearts" it's "BOTH actual darkness and the darkness in peoples hearts." The mirror of loss give Attribute bonuses and negatives, not skill bonuses and negatives. Tieflings are not from Elturel. Tielfings are from all over. The refugees are most of the Tieflings from Elturel, that have been kicked out because the people who were all dragged into hell- are treating tieflings like they were the reason they got pulled into the hells. They were fleeing persecutions. Tieflings don't have to have done anything to be what they are, devils are notorious shapeshifters and some don't even have to do the deed to pass on some infernal lineage to offspring. Avernus is not the "D&D version of hell" Avernus is the real world legend entrance to the hells. In d&d and actual mythology, hell is broken up into different layers or circles of hell. Im just being picky now- you called Bhaal the god of death, but- you already know why that's wrong :P Kuo-Toa is pronounced Koo-oh-Toe-ah. Jergal was not THE God of Death, he was the SCRIBE of the dead, he worked under Kelemvor, the Lord of the Dead. This means Jergal was in charge of the books... like- the Book of the Dead, the book of Destiny- so it makes total sense that he can change your past to change your class, and he can simply take your name out the book of the dead to bring you back. There is no sticking around after becoming a mindflayer. Your soul is destroyed, and all that is left is a mindflayer that is confused thinking it might be you- but it's not. So all those people who had Karlach become a mindflayer- Sorry, Karlach died as soon as she transformed, and that's just a monster waiting to realize it themselves. Balduran died when he became a mindflayer, and you can hear it in his dialogue. He doesn't care about anyone or anything but himself and his own survival. He's helping you, so he can not be enslaved by the brain. He wants to be his own creature, doing his own things- that are most likely evil, manipulative, and of course- eating brains. This is confirmed by general dnd lore, and in BG3 itself, from the scribe of the dead himself. "Do mindflayer's have souls?" "Mindflayers are clearly souless" "Correct". In d&d lore- the only way to bring someone back from turning into a mindflayer, is to use a wish spell. Same way you bring back someone who's soul has been eaten. You have to use the power of a wish to restore a soul to the world. Calling content that was never made for the game an original version of the game is - kind of weird. Yes there were probably plans for some stuff, but calling it a version when it never really existed is kinda weird. I think the word you are looking for is "Definitive Edition" if it gets made following what appears to be details found through datamining could include a better ending for Karlach. No other VERSION truly exists where that was actually possible. The big one! Defining Orpheus as evil based on his race and not his character is interesting. He comes from the beginning of the Gith, not just the Githyanki, the Gith have split into 2 groups, Githyanki and the Githzerai. The Githzerai are mostly monks and less evil inclined according to the lore. Well- Orpheus is a monk. His honor guard, are all monks. He's a prince of the Gith people, not just the Githyanki, and comes from a time just before the split - it seems. It's not exact, but Vlaaketh made a deal with tiamat and betrayed Gith- murdering her, and then imprisoning Orpheus. At this point- both Gith races are basically the same. It's after his imprisonment and the breakdown of the two factions that they go their seperate ways. Orpheus has been trapped- alive and awake for so long- yet seems level headed somehow- of course, he's a monk. He has had all the time in the world to hone his ability that protects him from the enslaving powers of mindflayers- if it weren't for the chains and how they weaken him the emperor would have no chance against him, who can be immune to the mental powers of an illithid. So- where does any of that make him evil? It doesn't. You just assume that since gith are often overconfident and arrogant that he will lead an attack on the rest of the worlds- but why would he, and how could he? The Gith are already a split race, half of them would appose doing such a thing, and that's not even including those within the Githyanki that are sick and tired of endless war and enslavement from Illithids - and now to Vlaaketh. Then- they also dont have the means. There aren't enough of them to conquer everything. They aren't as strong and sinister as mindflayers that actually work together (which most dont unless under the influence of an elder brain). Orpheus may not be a Chaotic good bro- but he is definitely not evil. If you actually read all this- wow, thanks. Great video regardless. Thanks for giving me stuff to nerd out about once again. ^_^
I personally don’t think all mindflares are monsters, and have more optimism towards the fate of Tav, Karlach, Orpheus or whoever became a mindflare, mostly bc of the presence of Omelum. He’s shown in the story as a sort of neutral mindflare, who wants to do research and is free from any elder brain control, unlike the Emperor who just wants to manipulate you to better himself. While I think they might be changed from turning into a mindflare I don’t think that makes them automatically monsters. Also if you let Orpheus turn then spare him at the end of the game, in the camp reunion he sends you a nice note about watching over his people still and such!
@@BllsRing Omelum is a sorcerer mindflayer. He has a connection with a power beyond just the psionic powers of being a mindflayer that helps him resist the influence of an elder brain. This doesn't make him good and he still eats brains, and animal brains aren't enough for them either. Withers flat out tells you that when a person becomes a mindflayer that person's soul is destroyed. There is no soul, and soulless creatures in DND can only be good out of an effort of understanding the benefits of cooperation and morals. This barely makes them neutral because mindflayers are also ego driven monsters with superiority complexes. You could argue that if the nicest bestest best person got turned into a mindflayer their memories and personality might be strong enough to give the monster that replaced them pause and knowledge to be good. But the person they were is dead and gone. And that hope also goes out the window if an elder brain is around.
I love how you made a correction to pronouncing myrkul, only to immediately butcher omeluum's name, both of which are said in the game multiple times 😂
I got Mithara by accident on my second play through because the druids attacked me when I tried to enter the near the relic and then the druids wiped out the tieflings and apparently that meant I personally killed the tieflings even though I was basically mugged by druids. If anything I avenged them when I went back with Minthara to kill the two druids left but Karlach didn't see it that way so her head went in my pocket.
Rhoku, call me crazy but i dont think the Karlach realizes she's in a video game scene is fake! From what i understand the scene only triggers on multiple playthroughs also if you look at the scene and compare it to other scenes in the game it looks identical, the voice acting as well as the text chracters etc!
I dont think anyone has gotten it to trigger yet, it may very well be tied to playtime/completionism, but her VA did confirm on twitter it was real, and the dialogue code was mined from the game files. Maybe in a couple months or a year or so someone will figure it out.
Everyone keeps talking about "romancing a bear" like you don't have the option to be with Halsin in his humanoid form. You have to specifically tell him you want the bear if I'm not mistaken. Also, you don't *have* to solve the puzzle for the Blood of Lathander. All you have to do is have great luck picking the lock for the crest. 😉
10:13 you can actually get a hint of it before act 2, you can get a scene where Shadowheart lets you see a memories with the tadpoles, the one with the wolf, if you pass a religion check you can comment about how the moonstone she's wearing in the memories is common among Selune worshipers, Shart just says it's a "childhood bauble" or something similar. Really enjoyed the foreshadowing when I got to that part in act 2.
I agree with you wholeheartedly about the karlach scene not being real, and a part of me wish it was so i would stop wondering how it was triggered… but samatha (karlachs VA) did confirm this was in the game on twitter and said she would talk about it when its triggered “organically”. Plus the dialogue can actually be triggered in game through the help of mods, theres information online on how to do it yourself. The biggest question really is whether or not it was cut content. But it would be strange for it to be and then for sam to hint its possible to trigger.
@@rudy3418 the things I may recall; but note that memory isn't my strong suit : I had great interest in karlach, so I talk to her plenty, and generally took the good path; but because of misinterpretation on lazel I think I romance her instead, So the trick would be to be as friendly as possible with karlach while just being a friend; (Which may explain why no one is finding that because anyone who interested in karlach want to ride the muscle mommy) I'm not plenty sûre that on this run i did everything corectly to save karlach (infernal iron etc ) but I think I did, If everything is in place, the scène should trigger à little after meeting the emprror for the first time just before entering the city of BG
About Karlach talking to the player and not to the player character ... i've actually seen it myself in my first PT as Wyll. It happened at the beginning of ACT 3 right before entering Rivington, so after the night when Githyanki attack your camp and you finally find out who the dream visitor actually is. Now i'm in my 4th PT and i have never seen it again but i wasn't really paying attention until i saw that video and this one. You can belive me or not about this but i've seen it ;) Good video BTW, i love the recap and i actually use your videos to get informed about D&D lore which i know some but not all of it :P A bit of advise (which is spoiler but while coomenting this video i don't really see the point of avoiding it :P) don't romance Karlach if you plan to make an Origin Astarion run as a good guy. You can guess why i belive so i'll leave it to your immagination (i did it and i had to replay the last 2 or 3 fights because how sad i was about that)
I found something that might be interesting for this. There's a character from Divinity: original sin 2 named Tarquin that get isekaid to BG3 and you can find more about his encounter on a letter on Lorroakan vault.
Omelum will still appear in the iron throne if you give away the owlbear egg only doesn’t show if you give the gith egg, or never spoke to him in the myconid colony
Fun factoid about Minthara: There is a way to recruit her without losing Whyll/Karlach or having to murder the druid's grove. You can simply ignore the plot altogether and she will show up at Moonrise where she is able to be recruited. This does come at the lives of the Tieflings still (since they die en route siince you didn't kill the Goblin leaders) but it doesn't require you to go murder hobo on the druid's grove. As a result, you can keep your companions that would be against siding with the Goblins (since technically, you didn't side with anyone).
I'm not going to lie it makes me wish you were able to go through the level killing the other leaders but she'll still show up at moonrise if you knock her out. The knock out mechanic almost feels improperly implimented
@@TrueMortalGamingI know for sure there's a mod that does this. But I also think that maybe they'll make that the case in the definitive edition, at least I would like that
But by ignoring the Grove quest you still lose all the tiefling NPCs and their attached quests, most notably Dammon the smith... and without Dammon, you can never repair Karlach's heart engine. Also, Halsin will give you an ultimatum in Act II if you rescue Minthara from Moonrise Towers (where she will end up any way even if you sided with the goblins): Either she leave or Halsin will leave. So you lose Halsin and with him his quest to free the Shadowlands from the Shadow Curse. Sorry, Minthara as a companion is just not worth it. You can also simply knock out Minthara at the goblin camp instead of killing her, it will count her as a defeated goblin camp boss, and she will go to Moonrise Towers to report and be tortured there. That was you can help the tieflings and druids and not lose Karlach and Wyll. But Halsin will still leave, pointing out that Minthara may have been mindcontrolled by the tadpole but even without the cult of the Absolute she would happily have slaughtered the druids and tieflings, she is still evil.
@@TF2CrunchyFrog True and false: You can give Karlach the first upgrade before leaving the area. I haven't played a game where I just didn't upgrade her at all, but I believe that without this upgrade she will die at the end of Act 2 if her heart is left completely unresolved (Again, I'm not certain about this). However, with one upgrade you can take her all the way to the end of the game. The second upgrade is only necessary if you intend to romance her. But yes you are correct in that doing this will cause all the Tiefling NPCs to die (With exception to Rolan and company if you get them to leave the Grove). Dammon is indeed a great NPC to have in Act 3 as he has some pretty wicked gear (as well as in Act 2 for that matter). EDIT: There is a way to recruit both Halsin and Minthara doing something similar to what I described. If you get the Druids to perform the Rite of Thorns without leaving the area, you can tell Halsin about it and he'll join camp immediately. You can then proceed to Moonrise and recruit Minthara there.
As an interesting fact, if you kill an Astorian but hide his corpse in your chest in the camp, the game will use it in the Cazador ritual anyway, but after killing Cazador, the Astorian corpse is still in your chest. 🤣🤦♂️
*hears of Orpheus* Note to self - have Orpheus consume the tadpole and encourage him to self delete when the Netherbrain is defeated. (I'm sure Lae'Zel will understand, LOL)
Just one thing, Simon in the Dungeons and Dragons Honor: Amongst Thieves Movie is the Great Great Grandson Of Elminster Aumar (its mentioned, plus his name is Simon Aumar) Good work btw
I enjoyed the video but Karlach did break the fourth wall and talked to me. I started my game on August 30, right after a major patch. You may have started it on an earlier patch. It was weird because I didn't know how to answer her questions, kind of like the Bandersnatch movie on Netflix.
There is a tiny bit of difference in the dialogue, as long as you take no extra worms and never use your illithid powers. This includes picking the illithid options in the conversation menu (the whole “obey” thing) and the survival instincts you can get from Omellum. You’ll get a notification in your journal about “embracing your potential” if you go too far. All this to say, the changes in conversation are very little.
I like that even though you cant play them, there are many less comon races in baldursgate 3 you can come across, like the githzerai, aasimar and even kuotoa. makes me wish larian makes an expansion where you can pick some of the more obscure races and possibly maybe even add some more subclasses like shadow/radiant soul sorcerer or grave cleric. I would gladly pay another 60-70 bucks for just that without any extra story.
A god having to cast a wish spell is quite interesting when you consider the rest of her lore and the fact she literally is a false god. Its a subtle way of showing that off.
Nah man. Daisy was one of the most important things in this game and the consequences for using your tadpole. the more you used the illithid powers the more she appeared, and the mysterious and cryptic dialogues were amazing. She being out of the game is the reason why there is no repercussions for using those powers, and its just an easy check. So much potential
You clearly havent played bg1 or bg2 if you think Elminster is able to solo the party. In those games he is absolutely Killable and not a simulacrum of him its actually him. Like he is tough but he is far from invincible and he is not the flash and counter spell exists so if he tries to cast he will just waste his time and get counter spelled and if he doesnt try to cast and tries to go melee he will just get magic missile barrages to the skull and arrows from gay draculas bow as he attempts to block Laezel doing her fucking yoda flips and shit and Karlach who can kill him with a bear hug. Then throw in e-blast nonstop spam from Wyll, Shadowheart spamming cleric spells, Minthara going in for smite attacks, Getting tangled in vines by Jaheira. Not even including Halsin and Minsc in that barrage. Unless he suddenly is able to use like the sandevistan implant from cp2077 then he is not going to be physically able to block more than one attack at a time
45:00 yeah, you're wrong about that one. It's triggered by a hack by the user, but it's genuine content. So there is a legit way to unlock this conversation - we haven't just found it. This has been confirmed by the voice actor herself.
Smallm correction/addition on minthara: you don't need to side with her in slaughtering the druids grove to get her as a companion. It is also possible to do the grove questline up to "kill the goblin leaders" and then just leave.
Also patch #5 gave us the option to knock her out and then have her reappear properly in act 2. So you can get Halsin, Karlarch, Wyll and Minthara in your party. Previously, this was only possible by physically stealing her and teleporting her into act 2 ;D
You can recruit Minthara without betraying the Grove. Basically just knock her out and steal her stuff. She'll reappear in Act 2 and taken to the prison. You can reacue and recruit her there. Her uniform looks great on Astarion.
When I went to the Iron Throne, neither the Duke now Omeluum were on it. I didn't give that crazy lady the egg, and had to kill the Duke when fighting Gortash later in the playthrough.
You missed with Mithara you can knock her out with nonlethak damage and kill the other 2 leaders to defeat the goblins she will dhow up on moon rise towers and can be recruited there allowing you to Keep Wyll and Karlack.
you dont need to kill all in the grove. you can safe them. if you want Minthara but dont want to do the bad stuff, just use non killing attacks before you hit her to 0hp.
25:30 I imagine this would be a lot like Fallout New Vegas's ending, where it just shows where certain settlements, groups, and people are at now and how your adventure effected them. I really enjoyed that in Fallout. Fallout New Vegas however had 1 quadrillion ending possibilities, so i imagine more effort went into BG3s individual ones.
10:51 That is true; back in the day there was an equal balance of darkness and light, but Selûne saw an opportunity to gain an advantage in the war between darkness and light and reached into the Plane of Fire and tore out the Sun, a source of eternal flame and light, to aid the cause.
The dark urges body is dead in the Tempel after u fight Orin, atleast there is a body of a white Dragonborn, so I think it’s supposed to be him. That is if u don’t use the dark urge origin
Gith is originally the mother of githyanki AND githzerai - until the githzerai separated from the githyanki after their civil war, where the githzerai’s leader Zerthimon was killed. That said, yes, githyanki are generally considered “evil” - because they seek to not only conquer the multiverse but also obliterate the githzerai (I think you meet only one of them in the game - one of the brain jars in Act 2).
Karlach's 4th wall break happened to me as well. The video you're referring to does manipulate a bit, but it's not very 4th-wall-breaking as it's implied in the referenced video.
What if you play as a cannibal and you eat Gale's body. Or better you manage to find Gale in the Nautiloid and break him out while in Hell, only to shove him off while in Hell before teleporting back to the material realm? Sucks to be Zariel, huh? Karlach: "Fuck yes, umm... sorry Gale, but yes me!" Now if you can have a time machine or at least a portal that can instant summon an Explosive Gale and use Catapult with infant range (as well as targeting other realms) you could effectively conquer the entirety of the Forgotten Realms or just obliterate those you didn't like such as the Abyss.
Once Boruto TBV gets animated Boruto is going to be bottom of Gojo tier he is HIM. Man now has the swag, the drip, the bars, the right amount of edginess with a good heart underneath it, and HE ASSERTS HIS DOMINANCE at every opportunity he has. If the man was a real villain he would probably be inducted into The Round Table by cjdachamp. (Btw some of these ratings needed a be a tad bit higher imo but it's cool)
Sorry but in the wish bad ending you don't have to "go out your way" to get deleted. That goddess just takes thing too personally, she doesn't even give you an option to refuse
Because then there would be a really good chance of one of his old enemies catching wind of it and showing up for the final battle in hopes of grabbing the crown for himself. Remember the old lich ruling Thay in Honor among Thieves movie? That's the kind of enemies Eminster has.
Thanks for the vid. I love spoilers ...they are what make me want to watch or play things. Wish I'd have waited a week before I spent money at a theater on The Marvels movie lol.
Astarion killing you by drinking too much blood doesn't end the game, you can just get revived by another companion and even hit Astarion. To make the Quill killing even worse, you find a dead young man in the Bhaal tribunal, who wrote a love letter to Quill, where she is described even more wholesome. The WIthers reveal on the first dialogue , you can do with every cleric, passing a wisdom check, not just a paladin. It's a bit sad, that Raphael was scratched as a way to end the game - that would have been nice. And I don't think, anyone, knowing about the githyanki, would see Orpheus as good. Karlach should be curable in the version of the game, we have now - we have the gondians, who work with infernal machines and are artificers - so everything is there to cure her.
Larian studios already stated that Karlach's three Act III endings we currently have (Decide to die in fire, Return to Avernus with Wyll or with the player avatar or with both, or become a mindflayer for the final battle which "cures" her at the cost of her soul) are all technically "fail states". The quest that would have allowed Dammon the tiefling smith to fully repair her engine (provided Dammon survived into Act III) was linked to the Upper City of Baldur's Gate. But the Upper City area became cut content due to time reasons, and parts of it vital for other quests (Gortash's palace, Cazador's palace, the entrance to Ramazith's Tower) were moved to the Lower City.
Hey man, id really consider putting the images as the centerpiece and your face speaking on the side. Some of these are really hard to see, and people come for bg3 lore and bg3 stuff, so it would be really nice to have that as the centerpiece
The scene with Karlac is inthe game a know that most of you will call me a liarbut no problems, it happend in my first playthrow and happened in the camp inthe 3 act speeking with her, i dont recorded the scene and dont know how to trigger, but i assure that the scene in the video is not fake
Idk if this is new since a patch but I was able to get mintara while not siding with her in act one and simply knocking her out during the fight. she then appeared in moonrise tower and I was able to get her and actually have all possible companions that play through.
28 minutes into the video and you've made a few mistakes it seems. Firstly, there is another ending where Gale blows up the absolute, one that is a bit more hidden. It's in act 3 when the party is about toe climb on top of the absolute by the brainstem, you can send Gale up alone and have him blow himself up, skipping the final fight of the game. Secondly, there is a reference to the dark urge if you don't choose him. His corpse is in Orin's room and when you first get close to him, one of your companions will make a comment about him and how Orin was especially sadistic in killing him. Effectively, the story changes quite a bit behind the scenes whether you're playing durge or not. If you do, then Orin did enough brain damage to cause him to lose his memories as to who he was before, then shoved him into the hands of the mindflayers on the nautoloid. If you don't play as him, then Orin did enough damage to kill him, which means that she is the last remaining bhaalspawn, which leads to her getting her monstrous form that you end up fighting when you face her (if you manage to anger her enough then Bhaal takes away her ability to be Orin anymore and locks her in the monstrous form)
I think not playing bg 1 and 2 does add to the enjoyment of the game cuz everybody that has played the 2 previous games and the spin offs seems to be extremely angry about the original charactars being thrown to the curb butchered and replaced 😂😂 also dying to astarion isnt a game over u can be resurrected
Yes, why do so many UA-camrs keep repeating the nonsense lie that letting Astarion suck your character dry and kill you is a game over?? Alos, how dumb do you have to be to intentionally forego _both_ rolls to tell Astarion to stop? The first PErsuasion roll is only has a DC of 5! The second is DC 15, so potentially if you have neither Persuasion skill nor charisma above 10 you can fail that roll. You can also push him away. But that's quoite rude, considering you allowed him to take some blood and he trusts you to not attack him.
@TF2CrunchyFrog I failed both checks my first playthrough it happens More common than u think Either way it doesn't really matter if u do die to him other than a funny little encounter where u can punch him if u want just wish there was other options aswell Forgive him or kick him out are the only two I would of liked to tease him some more for murdering me 😂

@@rhoku yeah that was one of the ones I missed.
@@rhoku true. I was like "is that a bug?"
I missed that! And her appearing at camp in act 1. I first found out about her at Sharess’s Caress, and on my second play through she was also at the Elfsong Tavern. It was only then, when I felt like it was so creepy to be “watched” by Raphael’s warlock.
She shows up out of no where from a portal if you fail all the checks with the goblin priest to set you free.
I keep hoping they fix that puzzle every update.
I really appreciate you making this because after finishing my second run, I'm looking for more baldurs gate discussion video rather than gameplay.
Keep up the good work
if you don't play as Durge you can find a dead white dragonborn in Orin's room, found it on my first playthrough (patch 3)
Oh man, Raphael as a soul coin merchant gives me hope for a really cool mod that brings that back. It can be called “Welcome to The House of Hope” modders feel free to take that idea and run with it free of charge lol
24:15 yeah, I didn't consume any of those either in the good playthrough. not even an achievment.
WE DESERVE JUSTICE
* Minthara is also recruitable now if you knock her out, she will appear later on
I have the latest version of the game and it doesn't work or it's broken because the game automatically thought she was dead after I made her unconscious .
Pro tip play at half speed
to be fair jegral i meant wither casually cast true resurrection on party member with or without body is a level 9 spell as well
Baldur's Gate 3 is the 5th Baldurs Gate video game not including remasters. As there was Baldur's Gate 1, 2, BG Dark Alliance, and BG Dark Alliance 2.
I don't get why the pronunciations are so off, since... the whole game is voiced. You can hear them say Oh-mel-E-um , and MURK-el. (Sorry for the teasing on this ^_^ but im going to keep doing it)
Shar is the goddess of darkness too, actual darkness. The Absence of all. It was not "not darkness but the darkness in peoples hearts" it's "BOTH actual darkness and the darkness in peoples hearts."
The mirror of loss give Attribute bonuses and negatives, not skill bonuses and negatives.
Im just being picky now- you called Bhaal the god of death, but- you already know why that's wrong :P
Kuo-Toa is pronounced Koo-oh-Toe-ah.
Your have the ass burgers lil brother. At least you're having fun though 🎉👍🙏
I love how you made a correction to pronouncing myrkul, only to immediately butcher omeluum's name, both of which are said in the game multiple times 😂
its ok omelette doesnt mind
Uncle Omelette is the best squid boy!
I actually got this cut scene on my first play through and didn’t realize it was rare!
@@minimousemichelle3836 Awesome! How do you get the scene? where?
@@minimousemichelle3836 BABE HOW??
I did get this scene on 3 playthrough have no idea it is some rare thing and I skipped most of it🙄
Less than 50 minutes? I was expecting 8 hours, considering how big this game is.
That´s so cool, I didnpt knew there was narration with the companion voices
I agree with you wholeheartedly about the karlach scene not being real, and a part of me wish it was so i would stop wondering how it was triggered… but samatha (karlachs VA) did confirm this was in the game on twitter and said she would talk about it when its triggered “organically”. Plus the dialogue can actually be triggered in game through the help of mods, theres information online on how to do it yourself. The biggest question really is whether or not it was cut content. But it would
be strange for it to be and then for sam to hint its possible to trigger.
I can't tell you how, but i did trigger it on my first run
@ tell me omg
@@rudy3418 the things I may recall; but note that memory isn't my strong suit :
I had great interest in karlach, so I talk to her plenty, and generally took the good path;
but because of misinterpretation on lazel I think I romance her instead,
So the trick would be to be as friendly as possible with karlach while just being a friend;
(Which may explain why no one is finding that because anyone who interested in karlach want to ride the muscle mommy)
I'm not plenty sûre that on this run i did everything corectly to save karlach (infernal iron etc ) but I think I did,
If everything is in place, the scène should trigger à little after meeting the emprror for the first time just before entering the city of BG
You can belive me or not about this but i've seen it ;)
Good video BTW, i love the recap and i actually use your videos to get informed about D&D lore which i know some but not all of it :P
A bit of advise (which is spoiler but while coomenting this video i don't really see the point of avoiding it :P) don't romance Karlach if you plan to make an Origin Astarion run as a good guy. You can guess why i belive so i'll leave it to your immagination (i did it and i had to replay the last 2 or 3 fights because how sad i was about that)
Same here got it nothing special skipped most of it
I found something that might be interesting for this. There's a character from Divinity: original sin 2 named Tarquin that get isekaid to BG3 and you can find more about his encounter on a letter on Lorroakan vault.
Omelum will still appear in the iron throne if you give away the owlbear egg only doesn’t show if you give the gith egg, or never spoke to him in the myconid colony
you can recruit minthara as a good guy too if you knock her out in act 1 and save her in act 2
If you knock out Minthara instead of killing her in the goblin camp, you can recruit her without doing an evil playthrough.
*hears of Orpheus*
Note to self - have Orpheus consume the tadpole and encourage him to self delete when the Netherbrain is defeated. (I'm sure Lae'Zel will understand, LOL)
Did this my first playthrough.
Just one thing, Simon in the Dungeons and Dragons Honor: Amongst Thieves Movie is the Great Great Grandson Of Elminster Aumar (its mentioned, plus his name is Simon Aumar) Good work btw
You jnow what nevermind this video is actually way better than i thought it'd be
Best Boss is Raphael in the House of Hope, epic battle and song!
I enjoyed the video but Karlach did break the fourth wall and talked to me. I started my game on August 30, right after a major patch. You may have started it on an earlier patch. It was weird because I didn't know how to answer her questions, kind of like the Bandersnatch movie on Netflix.
Sounds like this "Mike Roll" is one foul god x)
4:20 Viconia also was a playable companion in BG 1 and 2. An important one, specially in evil parties.
There are mods that add more races.
@TF2CrunchyFrog I am aware, I HAVE ADDED THEM ALL!
This has been confirmed by the voice actor herself.
the karlach meta dialogue is genuine, I had it in my first or second run,
In fact it happen really quick and i didn't know it were a rare dialogue
I was one of the unfortunate souls that chalenged Vlaakith hahaha
OMG I KNEW that was him on the startup screen!! I got lowkey flamed on one of the forums for mentioning it, but I freaking new it!!
I feel like BG3 is just a DnD5e campaign with a computer for DM. Larian should convert popular official campaigns to games using the engine.
Great video dude
Minsc must've started a skincare routine. He is so smooth now.
Mystra having a thing for mindflares also explains Gale's act 2 ending.
Karlach's 4th wall break happened to me as well. The video you're referring to does manipulate a bit, but it's not very 4th-wall-breaking as it's implied in the referenced video.
Ah yes, the evil god of bones and necromancy: Michael.
My favourite dead 3 boss was kethric because I had no idea to expect that tentacle
You can also recruit Minthora if you kill the goblin camp leaders if you change to non lethal and knock her out
You can also get Minthara in a good playthrough, Just knock her out in act 1 and she will appear in the prison in moonrise tower.
@16:28
Deva Mace: “am I a joke to you?”
Yup deva mace even without additional effects is worth it, it hits like a truck
You can recruit minthara by knocking her out and rescuing her from moonrise and not have to betray the grove.
What if you play as a cannibal and you eat Gale's body. Or better you manage to find Gale in the Nautiloid and break him out while in Hell, only to shove him off while in Hell before teleporting back to the material realm? Sucks to be Zariel, huh?
Karlach: "Fuck yes, umm... sorry Gale, but yes me!"
Now if you can have a time machine or at least a portal that can instant summon an Explosive Gale and use Catapult with infant range (as well as targeting other realms) you could effectively conquer the entirety of the Forgotten Realms or just obliterate those you didn't like such as the Abyss.
28:34 if I’m not mistaken, there’s a sign of him being dead in Orin’s room
Just a bit, I didn't play as dark urge in my first run but in Orin's room you can find notes and other things about it... Soon I'll do a another run
Karlah can have a "good" ending if you let her become an ilithid for the final battle. She will be a squid, but she will be alive
You do not have to sacrifice your companion If you're a bard. And you can still get the blood buff.
If you are a druid and sus out kagha, either she or rathe will give you a pretty nice staff
ok but WHY is there a GOD OF MURDER? 😂
Sorry but in the wish bad ending you don't have to "go out your way" to get deleted. That goddess just takes thing too personally, she doesn't even give you an option to refuse
Gale: talks up Elmister
Me, not very verse in DnD lore: sure sure, whatever. *Mouse over* LEVEL 20! WHY ARE YOU NOT LEADING THE CHARGE!
Because then there would be a really good chance of one of his old enemies catching wind of it and showing up for the final battle in hopes of grabbing the crown for himself.
Remember the old lich ruling Thay in Honor among Thieves movie?
That's the kind of enemies Eminster has.
I like more how me and my friends call Shadowheart between ourselves - Shaduha 😂

Thanks for the vid. I love spoilers ...they are what make me want to watch or play things.
Wish I'd have waited a week before I spent money at a theater on The Marvels movie lol.
Some of these arent even iceberg material in my personal opinion. Theres some good ones though.
I can’t believe I thought that the cabbages was a Skyrim reference until this video. What was I thinking? It’s so obvious now.
The cabbage cart that's knocked over in Skyrim is also an ATLA reference
@@TF2CrunchyFrog Yeah I know, still, there is everything, she needs in the lower city.
Hope they just make an add-on and bring cut content back. So we have a reason to start another play through in half a year or so :)
Another certified Rhoku banger
i wish in my heart to talk about lore and stories of this game please
Yes please make the video summarizing BG 1-2!!!!
If we’re lucky we maybe get the upper city in a future dlc
Got the gods name wrong every time lmao
excellent video!
dont have to kill rhe grove. just knock her out she will still join you in act 2
@TF2CrunchyFrog I failed both checks my first playthrough it happens
More common than u think
Either way it doesn't really matter if u do die to him other than a funny little encounter where u can punch him if u want just wish there was other options aswell
Forgive him or kick him out are the only two
I would of liked to tease him some more for murdering me 😂
Nah just stake him right away this character is super annoying
Vlaakith casting wish because her dead ass couldn't leave the astral plane will always go down as the biggest L imo.
As a member of the Warrior Cats fandom, I find the need of BG3 fans to shorten Shadowheart’s name absurd.
Just a couple of minutes in and Theresia a bunch of stuff wrong he said
