Peter Fredette , the unsung hero of Canadian rock, and Kim Mitchell a very underrated player as he's got such an incredible tone while he plays ,even as far back as the early Max Webster days!
It aggravates me to no end that Peter Fredette was not a Massive Star, at least in Canadian music. He plays multiple instruments and has a GIANT voice.
Kim Mitchell - CRIMINALLY UNDERRATED GUITARIST! That was incredible... he's got such an incredible feel and fluidity in his playing... truly mesmerizing.
This is epic. I can't believe this song came out almost 35 years ago......LIFE IS AMAZING....as Kim would say!!!!! Thank you Kim for your beautiful and awesome music!!!!!!!
Met Kim at Q107 radio station at Dundas square! He signed an amazing personal autograph for me! Talked with me for 15 mins! An excellent human being! Great musician, Amazing live!!
Absolutely stunning live performance by the entire band, particularly Peter's soaring vocals and Kim's haunting guitar solo towards the end. I've been losing a lot of my closest friends my age and younger from this world in recent years. We been praying n ready to go but them leaving makes me feel such a long ways away. This song and performace captured my emotion.
Really , quite incredible Canadian musicians … Kim could always play these major incredible leads , when he was 14 years old. That orange Gretch sounded out of this world…there was no one better at the time. Grass Co. With Phil, Jim, Dave & Super Brian Thanks for your incredible Music Gentlemen 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
I first saw this song on the Kee to Bala video and was blown away. Here we are 30 years later and they killed it again! Awesome combination between Kim and Peter, what a glorious performance. Fantastic group of guys nailing a fantastic song. Love it!
Absolute pro’s. My god Kim’s solo and vocal, Petes MONSTER pipes..even the drummer recovered well from the brain fart before the 2nd chorus. Pretty amazing stuff.
I was wondering if anyone else caught that. It was Mr. Fredette who tripped up a bit, when he had a pedal problem. He brilliantly cut the vocal rest short and landed on his feet, as well as everyone else did. Total Pro's, such a pleasure to hear.
Yeah, not good. He missed some other key bits, as well. His shuffle was solid, but this is probably the worst drum version I've seen. Tough tune, though. I wouldn't go near it with a ten foot pole until I shed the fuck out of it.
Talk about a recovery from numerous, musical and technical mishaps during a high-pressure show , and then a friggin' brilliant and total-pro performance!
Totally awesome, classic KM song, vocals by Peter Fredette and guitar work by Kim. Even more special given Kim's heat attack a few years ago and his triumphant comeback to radio and stage. :-)
Ah, yes. Thank you for this. Personally, I'd love to see an evening of the best of Max and Kim, in the same way tribute bands put on concerts of 'greatest hits'.
Wow Incredible! Great video! One of my favorite Kim Mitchell songs. Would love to see Kim Mitchell do a US tour. Only got to see him one time, in 1981, with Max Webster at Market Square Arena in Indianapolis, IN, but became a huge fan.
Wow what a amazing Track,Still gives me goose bumps ,Very power full Vocals and on top of this the original song was recorded at Le Studio Morin-Heights
@@DonaldHolben yes my mistake again It was Shaking like a human being that was recorded up at Le Studio. Thanks 4 the kind words about the renovation of Le Studio www.rebuildlestudio.com
An honest-to-gosh, male duet in rock and roll? When was the last time you heard that? We have got a lot to learn from the Canadians. I can't help but think of Gene Simmons on bass for Kiss ... and then there's the voice of Fredette. What a difference! :)
It may be impossible to find a better bass/vocals than Peter Fredette. I'm considered to have a high vocal and only can sing this at 4 semi tones lower.
Whoa kimmy that was an incredible guitar solo as well petey can still belt it out

We know how great he is !!!
Peter Fredette has incredible pipes!
Maybe the most under valued musician in Canada for the last 40 years. Incredible.
Yup
Unreal, what a voice!
Perhaps a little reedier with age but still so evocative.
Peter Fredette kills it! 😉🎸
Peter Fredette is the man.
Wow his voice is still bang on.
Great to hear Peter is still active, always knew he was under-rated as a front-man! (Pontiac House 1993!)
Absolutely beautiful performance of this beautiful song!
Awesome. I saw them at Casino Rama and they blew that room away. Peter Fredette, wow!!!!
Ahhhhh Peter Fredette....what a voice....!
This is epic. I can't believe this song came out almost 35 years ago......LIFE IS AMAZING....as Kim would say!!!!! Thank you Kim for your beautiful and awesome music!!!!!!!
Pete still has it , very impressive
Kim and Peter, like this song, just get better with age!!

Amazing show no doubt about it..
A pleasure to view and to listen ...thanks
One of my all-time fave songs, and bands.
Kim - amazing tunes, and mastery over the guitar.
Absolute pro’s. My god Kim’s solo and vocal, Petes MONSTER pipes..even the drummer recovered well from the brain fart before the 2nd chorus. Pretty amazing stuff.

At one point this song was my "Stairway to Heaven." Wicked add to those mem`s 20+ years later. Wish I was there, Great performance.

All these years, I thought this song was purely Kim Mitchell.
My mind was blown away finding out my favorite parts of the song were Peter Fredette.
Brings back good memories.I can remember wher I was when I first heard the tune,Truly CANADIAN.
If I ever go to the Crossroads, the deal will be, let me sing like Pete.
Ah, yes. Thank you for this. Personally, I'd love to see an evening of the best of Max and Kim, in the same way tribute bands put on concerts of 'greatest hits'.
Killer guitar solo. That is how it is done.
Awsome solo Kim
NO DOUBT!!!! My life is flashing before me.....almost brings me to tears dude. ))))
Great Great song. Never get tired of it.

Unbelievable Pete Fredette still has the pipes should have and maybe still could do much more with that voice as a lead vocalist.
Blake Manning on drums, awesome.
It's not "Battlescar", but it's still very damned impressive. Kim is a creator we still haven't given the props to like he deserves.
this is incredible! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Love you so much
awww my old lady crush on Peter Fredette
2018 and they still have what it takes. Fredette made a whole career out of that tenor vocal.
This track always got skipped over on the vinyl release.
Played live puts it into: "Best song ever territory".
Cool upload Cactus Pete. Subbed.
Holy Peter still amazing
Still and will forever have a crush on Peter
Brilliance personified.
Wow. I don't have the words. Peter.. Kim... Holy shit. It fucking blew my mind.
still amazing and top notch performance
Glad i didn't miss this thanks for the upload
Great performance
Looking forward to tomorrow night in Fort.St.John,BC!!! Kim Mitchell putting on a “ Clinic”!!!!👀😏😎👍🤘🇨🇦🌟🎶

First released in 1984!
You guys look older than me. But again we love ya!
Pete still has the pipes.
Canada on the Rocks
HELLACIOUS solo by Kim. JFC!
yo kim is the man oh and pete too

Peter is Kim`s vocal coach..
I thought Pete Fredette was dead, or was that another former member of the band?
it is Peter with Kim, he is still alive and well, still has great pipes, I am not sure of other Max Webster members who may have passed.
I thought this was Jeff Bezos and the lead singer for Steely Dan, these guys are good !!
Wow, I didn't know Burt Mustin was still alive and played guitar......
Ferd. No one like him. ✅
Kim...from such longgggg hair to bald.
You people need hearing aids if you think that sounds good. It's called old age.
