saw Kim at canal days 2017 seen him prob 20 times I actually seen him one of the first times out with the Kim Mitchell band {yeah I'm that old} Round One in Thorold ..it was the best show I have ever seen, band played the mini EP, Peter was on guitar Paul Delong killin drums ,it was insane tiny little club they were at there best..wish you had stayed on that track for prog rock but the boys had to make a living ..seen the three piece many times it was half assed KIM!!! your latest band is the best yet you seem to have brought new life to the songs ,and your voice was stellar ,keys were great and David Langguth on drums MY GOD he can play and Peter does he ever have a bad night ?? ..I'm glad you health is better and thanks for the music you have put out the B sides are always the best ..I played drums in a cover band that did a lot of your tunes it's not easy music to cover ,the audience didn't get Acrimony when we played it either !!! we dug it .I set up for you guys in high school{Webster} you were kinda grumpy that night LOL!! best thing that ever came out of Canada ....Cheers
Scott , the guitar is Blue. One of a Kind custom built by Kim and one of his guitar techs, only one in the world. I believe it was a Strat with custom neck and old pickups he had lying in an old parts drawer. Kim talked about it a few years ago on his guitar show Guitar Picks. On a different note I was in LAX airport a few weeks ago and ran into no other than Kim , shook his hand and asked him what he's doing in LA, apparently doing some recording for possibly a new album. I said great , I'll be buying it. Awesome dude, amazing musician.
Cool ...Always a great dedicated musician , icon in Canadian music. I knew the first time I saw him ...he was the Greatest.... He had a great family behind him and he had so much talent at 13 than anyone in the province .Cheers Alberta Dave
