I played my first video game, Pong, with Kim in Toronto where Dr. Music was the house band. We also shared a Fender Deluxe, trying to wire a DiMarzio P.A.F. Humbuckers with Stratocaster single coils. Kim was playing an orange Gretch Tennessean but it got stolen and he couldn't find another. I saw Jimi Hendrix and George Benson and was building my own lefty Strat with a humbucker by the neck. Rob Repovs! I wouldn't be saying this online if it wasn't true, just what life was like back then. Max Webster resisted opportunities to record that weren't good for the band. They had their roadie turn on a cassette recorder at the back of the room to record the band, and they sold their own cassettes for years. Kim gave me one and a bar band I was in did two Max songs. They went over very well, people thinking we wrote them, but I always told them about taking it to the Max. I'm not getting into as much as I could because this is public.
