- This is an AWESOME live Fleetwood Mac/Lindsey performance from 1975!! This is from their AWESOME Largo, MD concert!! This one is called ~ Blue Letter (one of my all-time faves). I LOVE this!! Lindsey looks and sounds AWESOME!! Check out his killer guitar solo!!
Enjoy!! ~ Jackie (:
I can't imagine Fleetwood Mac without Lindsey Buckingham.
It was a definitely interesting time
I can, his voice is not a good singing voice, he is a pretty decent guitarist, but Stevie made Fleetwood Mac reach stardom.
RIP Christine. Always incredible harmonizing between you, Nicks, and Buckingham.
featuring the ever underrated fretwork of lindsey buckingham
Oh when we were young😩great clip F Mac fan forever ❤️
Holy Fuck!!!!!! This blows away the studio version. Smoking Hot!!!!!
Jeez this is sick.Lindsey on fire,Stevie gorgeous, drum and bass perfect,Christine right there.1975 my my
Let's just put it in very simple terms. One of the greatest live songs ever put to video. Of any band. Not just Mac🔥
OMG, Stevie in a halter! Can we please bring back the '70's?
Alexandria VA native I was at this concert at Capitol Centre in 1975. The first lp in 1975 with Buckingham and Nicks added to the group was so good. Christine McVie shined.
I would like to be an old man now who lived this music.
What a pretty lady she was and still is - and Lindsay's voice and playing is amazing as usual!
First time I heard "Blue Letter" back in '75 I knew (certainly hoped) they'd be huge
Et deux ans après ils ont " explosé " le monde entier avec le " Rumours tour "..sauf la France 😭🤔🤔
For every voice you've ever heard, there's a thousand without a word.
I really think Lindsay is a master virtuoso, driven hard within himself and he practices like a MANIAC a LOT!!!! This is really quite the performance
Excellent performance but this song really doesn't fit their style, IMO.
This is the most I've seen John (my fav bassman) move..so very cool..:)
I love the other John (Paul Jones) more but this one comes right after him
lindsey shines here!!!!,hope the band will get there heads out of egoville and get together and rock and roll again, stevie should really watch these vidieos again and see what we all saw then, the magic singing pair, dont ruin this gift you two have ,dont let others drag bad stuff between you, call him up stevie,we know he will come running to sing with you again, not that he needs you ,but to bring on your magic you both have when you sing together!love ya all ,lets rock and roll,im not getting any younger !!!
@Kristen Jett ya well remeber we all started somewhere and some people should remeber and respect that,we all fell in love with this duo when they came out with there first album then rumours with fleetwoodmac ,together!!!,forgive is better then ego thrusting lol!!!
@Kristen Jett oh and yes they will ,if the chance comes up ,they will, lifes too short to hestate and stay angry or whaever, they will want to rock again
Stevie looks amazing!
Stevie & Lindsey 🌹🌹❤️❤️❤️❤️
music and the times were awesome back then
Lindsey is OUT OF SIGHT! Stevie looks just as pretty with short hair, as she does wearing it long!
Susie196921 she has long hair here. It’s just pulled back into a very long braid.
One of my favourite bands - I still have their 'Rumours' LP I bought in '78 in pristine condition! : ) Always gorgeous Stevie in bell bottoms and Lindsey fantastic on guitar, with an almost as fantastic hair do! Christine, John and Mick all great of course. Brilliant rendition of this song!
One of my favorite Fleetwood Mac songs, but I think hearing the live version of this song just took the song to a whole new level!!! Thanks for the upload!!!
Rick and Mike Curtis (The Curtis Brothers) wrote this song, you can hear their version on UA-cam. It rocks!!
I watch these old clips and wish I had been alive back then. Not only would it have been amazing to see them live but it just seems like concert/festival feels were so different back then. I love when random jam sessions would break out bc the whole group was vibin’ on stage hard! I doubt I’ll ever be able to experience that in my lifetime.
Rock bands still exist lol
@@Bliccyriccy03I’m not sure “existing” is enough.
WOW!!!!! Thanx for the share I've always loved Fleetwood Mac never saw them when they were just babies. WOW!!!
This old vid is a great insight into why the band became one of the best ever. Great musical talent, a gorgeous "little brown haired girl" (as Stevie once called herself) and a knack for putting on a great show...
Her hair seemed more blonde than brown to me. Sort of a dirty blonde?
Linds, the MAN!
You're The best of the best!! The Brain of Fleetwood Mac I love your only style of playing guitar. The way you play your guitar gives the band Life!! I can tell it's you when I hear a song you all play. You have a great voice !! I love your idea of having a band play Tusk no one has never done that, not that I know of. Great work a Master piece of art 🎨 Tusk.
Wow. Stevie, of course, looked amazing -- not often you see her wearing jeans, and that haircut was pretty awesome, too. Oh, if only we could look that good forever. But John McVie also looked pretty spectacular, too!
In today's world, it is still nice to hear Christine, see Christine, and Stevie is just kinda there. Ironically, she sees herself as an icon and still as hot as she was then. Chris, who has always been happy to stay in the shadows, is coming out as the Lady!
"Just kinda there"?! I don't know what concert you went to, but Stevie is still the reigning queen of rock and roll. Completely transporting and powerful to this day, she still grabs the audience by the balls and takes them into her fairy kingdom lol
Deb Reynolds: Stevie didn’t want the spotlight????? Um... so why did she always stand centre stage? Why did she gyrate her body and swish scarves etc during instrumentals, instead of standing back and letting the musicians in the band take well-deserved credit? Didn’t want the spotlight???!!! Gimme a break!
Actual musicians. Love it!
Strangely quaint these days, isn’t it?
I've heard other live versions of Blue Letter but this one outdoes them all! Fantastic rocker!
Glad I saw them live around this time. 3 incredible vocalists and amazing musicians.. Lindsey was an incredible talent.
Stevie was sooooo young
Their harmonies
Omg
I especially like when Lindsey says ~ Thank you very much, we love you, you're beautiful (at the end)!! (lol) (:
Stevie looks hot here...also in the Japan video. Lindsey is just a beast, love this song and Im so afraid as far as his lead work.
Oh wow !, they rocked it out !
Oh this is just fabulous! What a talented bunch of people, all in one band, complementing each other. This is just about the most animated I have ever seen John McVie, and Stevie, as has been noted by other people below, looks very cute in her "regular" habitat! I love her bare tummy :) Thanks for posting this video!
Because the song became a sprint.
I'll never stop loving this band so I great take me with you happy birthday my queen rock on
There's nothing better than watching Mick wear out that drum set! One of the best....
I like Stevie's look here, before all the lace & chiffon stuff, i espec like her make-up & hair she is so beautiful..what a woman..
Mick looks so cute without the beard, and Stevie rockin' those jeans! Damn!
Fleetwood Mac are one of my all time favorite bands. As a child, I had the opportunity to spend some time with Lindsay & Stevie before they joined Fleetwood Mac. My neighbors were a band called the Curtis Brothers and were friends of theirs. They were also my babysitters. The Curtis Bros. actually wrote & recorded Blue Letter on their self-titled album and Fleetwood Mac chose to cover it. They were all wonderful, down to earth people. I will always remember Lindsay giving me my first guitar lesson and "Aunt Stevie" taking me to the mall to get an Orange Julius. Great memories. Peace. JR
Jonny Roxx that's amazing. Glad you had that experience.
Jonny, It's funny how the cosmos works. The last few days I was near Nashville with some family to enjoy the eclipse. We found ourselves at a really nice marina bar called The Rudder. The music that afternoon was a trio of men I'd never seen before. During the break, I complimented one of them and chatted about some of their song selections. I asked him if they could play Southern Cross. He smiled and said he didn't know if they knew the words. I would soon find out this was sarcasm as I said I know them and would love to sing it with them. He said okay, but you better go ask the bass player. He wrote it. I froze for a moment. The following minutes were a blur, but I found myself in awe talking with Michael Curtis about the song and some of his moments in music. After we all enjoyed the magical spectacle of totality, the guys re-took the stage. A number of songs into it, Michael called me up and I got to sing his baby with him. I won't bore you with why I fell in love with the song and for how many years it has been one of my very favorites. Michael's wife did tell me afterward she couldn't believe Michael let me up there with him for that, to sing "his baby" the song that "built their house." I'm just glad Stephen Stills heard Seven League Boots once upon a time. Oh, and a credit to the band, Davidson Horn and Curtis!
Thank you for sharing. I can picture it all.
Jeremy McClure wow. The cosmos, eh? 🙂 I will keep this in mind. Peace; rock on
What a great story!! How fun to have this experience and memory.
Lindsey and stevie were living together for about 4ys here in about 18 months there be broken up to bad.
LOVE IT. STEVIE ROCKS
LOL. She was so cute before her ego kicked in. ;O) GOOD JOB LINDSEY-AWESOME SONG, and great energy in this performance!!
But you'd be even better without the ego.
truly amazing performance. wow. thanx for sharing
man this is great shit thx for the upload !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for making this video available. Lindsey's brilliance shines.
I am going to go get my hair cut in a shag like Stevie’s ASAP!!!!!
I like that part too, especially the guitar part!! I LOVE his guitar solo that starts out around 1:30!! He's AMAZING!! (:
Awesome 🎉❤
can't get enough of their old recordings - thank you!
You're VERY welcome. Thanks so much for your comment!! I LOVE this one too!! (:
I agree. Thanks for your comment!! (:
Has anybody else noticed how fast Stevie's hair grow's? in this performance her hair is short on the side's and not vary long in the back, but in their 1976 concert one year later it,s long, vary long! its look's like it grew 10 inch's in one year!!!
If you look closely on the side angles, her hair is long but tied back. There is a performance of Rhiannon at this same concert and her hair is down x
Her hair IS already long here. It’s pulled back into a very long braid in the back..🙂
You're VERY welcome. Glad that you love this one as much as I do. (:
@cindyshealed ~ You're VERY kind. Thanks a bunch!! (:
Thanks so much!! This is one of my faves too!! Go Your Own Way was, is and always will be my all-time fave song, though. (:
The messages in your eyes.
Damn. Was the theater owner threatening to pull the plug or something? They, like, tripled the speed of this song. Either that or Buckingham and Mick were racing one another.
Coke
+allthatjazzspaz95 / Hahaa, I was gonna respond with that same thing
This was before the coke days/daze. They were all very young and still functioning very much as a high-octane band before the relationships fell apart and everything literally went to Hell. I wish they'd had another year or two like this before the fame and the drugs and the mess of their break-ups contributed to the bad stuff that followed.
blemelin yeah here Lindsey was only 24 years old here and Stevie was 25 and Mick was only 27,very young
Coke
This is the energy of Rock n Roll.
Thanks so much!! Glad that you love this one as much as I do. (:
Thanks for your comment!! I do too. (:
THE GREAT OLD DAYS
And I still love it!
Jaw dropping live performance by John and Mick.
i truly believe if u had to show an alien one song that represents rock n roll this would be it..great guitar drums bass singing lead and back ups..this song has it all..Christine forever!!!!
I LOVE this one too!! Thanks for your comment!! (:
Fantastic!
Fabulous! Thank you for uploading this! I really miss Christine in FM but the Mac lives on!
I perceive that the sound was bad on stage. Christine couldn't hear herself very well, so she sang uncharacteristically off pitch. It's amazing how often so few people understand that as musicians we need to be able to hear ourselves better than they can hear us. Who did the sound on the stage that day?
Joseph Bridges Not to mention we can't even hear Stevie. Looks like an off-night for the sound guy.
Fleetwood Mac is one of the greatest bands of its time. And it's still evolving with the latest injection of New Zealander Neil Fin & Tom Petty's lead axe man Mike Campbell replacing the departed Lindsey Buckingham. The band could down in history as having the greatest amount of members in their lineup over the band's life. Many original fans of the original Fleetwood Mac detested Buckingham & Knicks joining the band believing it destroyed their soul that was essentially blues. While indeed Fleetwood Mac's 'sound' did change from the injection of Buckingham & Knicks, it has always essentially changed and developed or grown as that is how any band's life rolls. For me - I just love Fleetwood Mac for what they/it is/are! A phenomenal band. Buckingham & Knicks took the band in to the statosphere's of Shakespearean romance. There was so much romance going on between all the band members during the Buckingham & Knicks tenure that the result was music of pure passion. Such emotion. Extreme levels of passion & emotion - love really. That no other band of Fleetwood Mac's level could emulate. And so there-in lays the uniqueness of Fleetwood Mac. I just love the era here in this video. There is a comment by Jenny Macko who writes 'Stevie is understated here, no breast implants, chiffon flowing dress or permed blonde hair. Still very beautiful. Natural beauty and talent' - and I couldn't agree more. I would actually like to see a movie made of Fleetwood Mac - it's/their life. I could guarantee it would be fascinating. The talent of the band is limitless. Phenomenal to be honest. Remember the band was formed in 1967 - so that's as of 2018 - a 51 year lifeline. Not bad...put it this way folks - how many bands around today have that amount of age? I can think of one; The Rolling Stones - at 56 years and still rockin. Legacies are few in rock n roll. I would strongly suggest Fleewood Mac is/are one.
Hell Yeah!
Thanks for all your vids!
@MorComm ~ I agree. Thanks for commenting!! (:
Thanks so much!! This is one of my faves too!! (:
Signs and wonders.
stevienicksrox23 ~ So is Lindsey!! (:
Chris is soo strong live, you can hardly hear her in studio. live she's awesome!
Saw them in 76 with Boz Scaggs & the Eagles at Schaffer Stadium . Joe Walsh just joined the Eagles !
Pure Gold
😍😍😍😍 Excellent!!!
Awesome!! Have a GREAT time!! (:
Big time agree. She was so naturally pretty here. The cameraman sure agreed, he couldn't take the camera off her for more than 4 seconds. She never looked better.
Proof positive, Buckingham-Nicks era FM were a goddamn rock and roll band.
No slagging allowed.
If I were Lindsey, I would of been Stevie's Bitch just to hold on to her. She's beautiful.
lol.
same.
I feel that way about Lindsey. Stevie was a VERY lucky girl. (:
dang I listen to this and that of what happened with Lindsey and Stevie, which band member did she cheat with?
mend the chai nwith lindsey and lets teach the world to forgive and move on to better things ,i know theres another album in this band for us fans !!,come on now !lets mend the chain!!!!!!
@22infection ~ Well, it is a Lindsey song. lol (:
Stevie’s hair is a layered cut. Look close she has it in a braid in the back and the front down
Aye, cheer up, man, we know you've never been a stage showman, there's little known about you indeed, you've alwaays kept your back to your fans while watching old pal Mick as he played drums, that's fair, but...
Come on, FM need you!!!
Wow; call out the firehouse, as the band is on fire here!…
Fantastic Vid...
Wow, lindsey and Mick were jammin.
The 1975 untitled"white album" is still Fleetwood Mac's best overall effort, even better than Rumours. They were a few years from full pop band status and the Southern California country/electric folk/power guitar rock hybrid sound of the 1970's is unmistakable, especially on Blue Letter. I just ordered a replacement CD because my old one is so scratched the player can't read it anymore, and MP3's simply don't hold a candle to the sound quality of a full uncompressed CD. And Christine? Christine turned me into a spastically twitching 17 year old blob of jelly the first time I heard her sing Warm Ways. 47 years later she still makes me go a bit weak in the legs. Women might not fully understand me, but men will definitely understand if they read the lyrics.
Is that the drummer or bass? Sorry I haven't researched it, I just like Lindsey lol
killer, too band it was not recorded to you tube louder as you can only get it so lud, amazing! Mic is wild on the drums
Christine sings high harmony, Stevie mid, Lindsey low harmony (main vocal).
Yeah I love it when Chris sings all the high parts! Especially her high notes in "The Chain"!
Mick killing it on the drum kit
😋😋Stevie in Jeans!!!!! Wow
