11/15/2023-today we sailed with Jameson, his son Sully on Kekoa for the 5th time. This is a MUST DO when you go to St. John! Unbelievable story…to perfect day sailing around the island. Each trip has been its own adventure.
This film evoked a lot of emotion. I did some communications work for the relief effort after Irma and Maria in St. John. The first time I came down, all I can remember was looking at the hillsides and it looking like broken match sticks. I remember driving past donkeys stranded on the side of the road looking completely lost but content that they had weathered the storm. I vividly remember all of the boats that were pushed ashore; having to have a security team just to go out in town because of the threat of looting; the ferry ride from St. Thomas and surveying the damage from a distance. Truly an incredible story of perseverance through hardship, on many levels, all throughout life. If I ever make it back down, I will be sure to book a charter with you gentlemen in hopes I can get a deeper look into the story than what you have graciously provided here.
Proud to be the second to ever complete the race solo on a paddleboard in 2022. I have plans to race again in 2025 to try to be the fastest to ever finish the race on a paddleboard. Great video guys great accomplishment. 🙌🏼👊🏼
We had another amazing day on Kekoa with Jamison and crew that was the culmination of a fantastic 10 days on St. John. This feature emphasizes the passion, spirit and soul of the family. Kekoa is a beautiful boat with an epic origin story! If you get the chance to spend a day on Kekoa, please do. You’ll have time you’ll not soon forget.
Wow, this was amazing! Thank you to everyone who worked on this film, and thank you to the brothers and their families for being an inspiration of determination and commitment!
everything great in life, the only really phenomenal accomplishments worth celebrating come by serious struggle and overcoming adversity in this life! Great story!
I actually went on this boat while on a visit to St. John. This boat is absolutely incredible and I am so glad I was able to go on it. I was surprised to hear they made a film when they told us on the boat, but when I watched it, it was amazing! Can’t wait to go again this year!! Great work!
Spectacular story telling yeti . These are my kind of people and places , not just a company add . A life of real life people and places . Thanks again for sharing your wonderful story’s . Cheers from Steve Stott in Sutherlin Oregon U.S.A. 🌍🌏🌎🍻🤩👍🏼
These videos are amazing - as are your thermos mugs. Thanks! I saw a vid about Jamison’s story a few years back and he was the inspiration for us finally sailing to St John this year. What a tale😂
We just sailed on the beautiful Kekoa today and then we watched this video when we returned to the condo we're renting. What an amazing story of courage, perseverance, and strong family bonds. So impressive!
Love the romance of the 60 decibel table saw. I think mine is about 140 decibels and would totally ruin the script. lol Yeti can defiantly capture the raw energy of the human spirit.
What a great story, thank you for sharing....I bet they were building this boat by my old work building at 10 Storehouse Row in North Charleston, SC. Glad to see Kekoa is back in Action!!!
A friend recommended me this video. I am not such a boat addict but I do want to go sailing now. Just need to find such a crew to go with and share there love for it ! Awesome documentary !
Yeti you guys out done it again. well put together video making look easy and yet doing the marketing better and better each years, and for the legends on the film nothing but well done it gave me a little motive to finish my land cruiser one day maybe one day..
Congrats and to do as brothers and to smile and laugh afterwards and even during even probably at times disagreeing y’all are pure inspiration family and me and my brother strive to be like y’all
Fantastic story! Question: is there a maritime law or unwritten rule/code that says once you abandon ship whoever discovers that boat gets to keep it? I wonder if the buyer of that boat who lost Kekoa in those rough seas ever asked for it back.
