1:20:13-An interesting observation on Demolition’s entrance music here: after the Powers of Pain was introduced, the Fink went to introduce Mr. Fuji but who ever was doing the music must have forgot, cuz as Howard Finkle was saying “and their tag team partner…” Demolition’s music started to play. 😂
Had to give up even trying to listen to this on headphones at the gym. After 324 eosisodes how in the heck can Conrad and his grew have Tony at 1/4 the volume of Conrad? Must be if it Jon alba behind the scenes.
I thought I was alone in loving that tag finisher better than any other, especially of that era. Nice to see others had just as much appreciation for that maneuver that was a tad ahead of its time.
After the Martel promo around 1:51:00 mark how dare they interrupt talking about the topic And Tony even says “so anyway back to what we were (bullshit) talking about”. We need more Pondwater Dave & Silva & the stooges who none of care about or know talk.
Macho Man, HBK, Ric Flair, and Undertaker because of his size are the Top 4 Pro Wrestlers ever.. Bret Hart could be in there... You have to put Rock, Hogan, Stone Cold, and Cena as Tope Entertainers.. but Macho had It all and would have been an even bigger Star today If that's even possible...nice to hear Conrad telling the back story...
Bret Hart is the top technical wrestler along with Kurt Angle. Savage is the best overall athlete and performer in wrestling history and the total package: athleticism, in ring, charisma, storytelling and mic skills. Flair, Michaels and Taker and Bret for in ring performance tho I dont like Hbk. Hogan, Austin, Rock, Lesnar and Cena are the biggest draws, entertainers and money makers.
Very cringe, borderline embarrassing to hear Conrad actually utter, "gee, who am I gonna hang with at the convention? No JR. No Tony. No Bruce" etc.... like he's some who's who on a guest list. Like he's some VIP... Guess you'll have to hang with the steerage like most of us, how bout it Conrad??
Little harsh I feel.. seeing as these people are now friends of his, and he has been attending conventions with one or more of them for years now. 🤷🏻♂️
i always got the impression that schiavone was miserable in the wwf during this time period and ran back to wcw / nwa as soon as possible. was a great time to be in the wwf during his short stint.
he enjoyed working for the wwf he just couldn't afford to live here in Connecticut a decent house here is about 750 thousand minimum plus he has a bunch of kids too i think he's got more children than I do
@@stewartmcrae8007 I guess him crapping on vkm and the wwe in several podcasts plus the fact that they didnt want him to come back after vince purchased wcw added to my notion.
@@titansrule72 he has always been complimentary towards mcmahon as far as I am aware although I understand that they never wanted him back for whatever reason perhaps he has been negative about the company

Well.. In their time in the WWF, both were good guys at the same time. Hacksaw wasn't around long enough to need to switch him to bad guy. He got arrested with drugs with the Iron Sheik... Vince was mad, fired them both.... mainly because they were breaking kayfabe
Duggan was very limited in the ring. Punch and kick and a clothesline for a finisher. He was there as a patriotic hype man. People weren't even noticing 75% of his matches ended without a victor because they were so caught up in his ability to work the crowd.
Duggan was on the rise and then had the drug bust. So he was pushed down from near main event level. Plus he was a baby face and wwf at the time rarely if ever put face vs face in matches esp for the title. Warrior v hogan was the first main event where it was a pure heel vs face I can remember
@@mox19380 i think Warrior vs Hogan worked because warrior wasn't really a babyface as in a traditional one. He worked like and cut kinda heelish type of promos he never spoke about right & wrong, he just blatheted on about the spirits of the skeletons and the planets etc. And he used to shove announcers around & not listen to referees like a heel would. Basicaly he was a neutral but happened to be cheered and loved by mainly kids. I don't think he honestly had the mindset of "iam working as a babyface" he just went out to be Warrior neither a heel or babyface. So it was more like Hogan the ultimate babyface vs this warrior phenomenen that happened to be cheered and liked.
i'm surprised conrad doesn't know what a pratfall is...must not be a SNL guy Agree with Tony and Conrad about Dino Bravo. At this point in his career all his matches were a bore to get through. they're the part of events where i get up to take a piss and get some snacks and yell at my friends, "do NOT pause that shit"
To this day, I'm not sure why I liked him ad much as I did during this time (I was like 9, 10 years old mind you). I was into heels way more than faces, even then. I think I liked that he was so jacked up. But, that also was part of his detriment. He was so damn big he was relegated to punch and kick mode. He was never going to be a top turnbuckle aerial attacker, but his ridiculous frame is limiting. I did enjoy those huge elbow drops. He went way up for those. I also liked his finisher. Earthquake didn't need him at all though.
I don't give a damn what the little woke twitter social justice warriors says or think about Hogan. The fact is that he is the greatest of all time bar none! Go run along and be offended at something now. I wish we could go back to the 80's and 90's so bad.
The Demolition look came from essentially a derivative of copying Judas Priest's look, which defined a lot of other bands of the time using that look. During the 80s the leather and studs was considered a cool metal look, though its now just seen for its original S&M roots. Interestingly it was speculated this was a way for Rob Halford to show off his homosexuality in an undercover way by making the S&M look something that heavy metal fans would like. He has denied this though in saying that was not what the look was about.

Initially, I thought Fink just introduced Demolition. But, no. You're 100% correct. Fink was cut off with premature ring music.
My one friend has a wrestling ring. Taking a flat back bump indeed sucks.

Actually Conrad, it is on the Coliseum Home Video….
Well damn at the end Tony did do a good Tony😂❤
