    Scott’s choice of cords as well as his cleanliness and clarity just really really shows how much the Bass has evolved, then he so tastefully slid harmonics instead of a bunch of fast notes!!! I’m past the whole “who’s the best”, thing? On this level it’s simply the individuals choice of notes.

    This is one of the BEST things UA-cam hass thrown at me for a loooooooong time.
    Just goes to show how the modern movement has evolved a traditional rhythm instrument into an instrument that covers everything. High melodics, chords, tapping, harmonies, harmonics, percussion, filter pedals, looping..... with the frequency range of the modern bass, low down thump and high end gliss.... this is the one instrument that is closest to a whole bands worth of sounds in my opinon.

      sebastian mendoza nope, he's not jaco of our generation, he is MonoNeon. This type of association is really annoying as if one is not able to stand out by himself, needing to be supported by this rotulation. He has Jaco on his path, for sure, but as a reference, not as an objective, or level to reach, or dark hole to be engulfed. He is MonoNeon, one of his kind, as you are you, one of your kind, and so forth.

    • @ChinchillupaGuy
      @ChinchillupaGuy 8 років тому +16

      Pablo Cavallo we meaning the musician community. You're right, I should've asked before I started swinging, unfortunately I encounter too many musicians who are like that for real. I apologize for the aggressiveness, I'm glad it was a joke. Ps your humor doesn't translate in writing, it's not my humor

    • @basstheworldofficial
      @basstheworldofficial  8 років тому +28

      +Dave Tremblay many bassists are playing keyboards at different spots during a set, especially in hip hop, pop and soul bands. So I thought I give Eyal a spot here - he's a friend and a badass (and a bandmate of Or Lubianiker in Project RNL). If this doesn't sound familiar, watch some live footage of Michael League playing in Snarky Puppy and you'll get an idea. For session and tour bassists it's often mandatory nowadays to play keys as well to land a job.
