Thank you, Father, for sharing your beautiful experiences at Congress. I’m a Jewish convert to the Catholic Faith. I was converted by a dream, on March 12, 1990. I had a dramatic conversion like St. Paul, and I fell in love with Jesus, my Messiah. I realized in one instant that Jesus is real, that He’s alive, and He has all the power and all the love. I got on my knees and said, “Lord, I’m yours body and soul, do whatever You want with me.” The Lord led me to the Catholic Church. At some point, He connected me with a group of ladies who were doing a “rosary pilgrimage” to every parish in our Archdiocese, maybe about eight or ten parishes in a day. We would meet at the first one, then carpool. It was through that pilgrimage group that I was introduced to Adoration Chapels. Around the same time, when I was in RCIA, the sponsor I had chosen gave me a book about Eucharistic miracles. Don’t laugh, but the miracle I remember most vividly was when a donkey bowed down to the Eucharist. (I guess I identified with the donkey 😂.) I have been Catholic now since August 22, 1991. Yes, I was received at a weekday Mass, by myself, because the pastor had asked me to wait and not be received at the Easter Vigil. Why? He didn’t think I was ready. I think he wanted me to repeat RCIA, but I was attending Daily Mass, and going up every day in the Communion line for a blessing, so he decided to invite me to be received on a Marian Feast Day, since I had a devotion to the Blessed Mother. The Lord has been so good to me. I am so blessed. I am the only Catholic in my entire family. Anyone reading this, please pray for my family to be given the grace to know Jesus, and His Church. There is no greater gift.
Your story of witness has inspired me, a cradle catholic . To many of us take our faith for granted and get lukewarm in our praise and adoration. Thank you Lord Jesus for the gift of this day.
I am a convert too, from 2016 though, not that long😅 but my family on my mom's side is jewish too. Dad's family was "cultural catholics", but he stopped practicing in the 60's. I'm also the only believer in my family. Union of prayer❤
