- I did a shop tour a couple weeks ago, but this is the rest of the farm! Besides the shop, we have four main buildings that we use for cold storage. The majority of equipment is stored in these when not being used. Let me know what you guys want to see next before things get busy in the leadup to spring! Thanks for watching!

You may feel awkward, but you definitely ARE NOT awkward, sweetheart! The music and you talking are angelic to me! You always brighten my dull gray winter days! You all have a lot of really neat stuff! I hope that your end up loving your new tractor as much as your old favorite! Introduce us to your kittens! What are their names? Do you have livestock? Show us those!
Farmers are the heart, soul, backbone and brains of America.
Erin your not awkward. you’re doing a great job.

The stuff that feeds America and the World! Nicely explained and no awkwardness, from the young lady in the 'hoverhalls'! Thanks to you and your family and all the hero farmers in America
Brilliant Erin, you don't have to be apologising to us!!, we are the ones that should be grateful that you are showing us an insight into your life, keep safe and look forward to more videos 👍🙂
Erin you honor your dad. Awesome!
Topic suggestions - using the precision Ag system and how the farm can use the collected data, yield data ect, corn soybean field scouting, soils and seed selection, plant science, planter setup. Individual tractor and equipment tours.
I confess I love your kitchen episodes...there is a serenity in them that provides the kind of peace of mind one obtains coming to the table after working all day and having a family meal.
Therefore, given the question, what would you like to see in the next episode, a hungry man dinner of course comes to mind.
After thinking about it though, it may be even more interesting food for the brain to see how you calculate the market prices and subset of decision arrays you have to make every day-and-how your decisions are affected by weather forecasts.
I was 14 years old in1971. Worked on a 900 acre farm doing cows and corn. You showed the 4020, Brought back some memories. We also had two. I learned how to drive on the JD 4020. The little red grain truck had the same pinstriping on the side of the side panels as ours was. Work hard, drive fast. Speed safely
What an Empire. I'm sure you're kidding that this is an 'average' farm. Thank God for the American farmer who helps feed the world! Good stuff very informative.
Many NYAWEHS for helping to feed America. Bless you.
A perfect example of what the country 🇺🇸 needs. Down to earth hardworking country folks. I'm 31 from midwest and like seeing there is still normalized people out there. 🇺🇸 🇺🇲 Thanks for the great video
Your awkwardness is actually a good trait and refreshing. Be safe and blessings to your family and bountiful crops. Hope you have a good year.
Old farmer from Manitoba, Canada. Really enjoy your enthusiasm for what you do. You may think you are getting all the “grunt” jobs on the farm but your dad loves you and it’s his way of showing you the business from the ground up for the future of your operation when he decides to step back a little and give the reins to you and your brother. Farming today is a business and needs to be treated as such every day be it checking market futures or sweeping up the shop. Congratulations and keep up the good work. P. S. As a dad who raised some daughters that fortunately turned out like their beautiful mom, please don’t show where you live like on the grain truck door cause you don’t know who is watching.
I just found your site...and watched about 10 of your videos in a row. As someone from the Pa. burbs who knows nothing about farms and farming.....I am fascinated by the complexity and knowledge ( and investment!) required to maintain a working farm. Also.....kudos to you personally for being such a professional....someone with a common sense approach to life, and a work ethic......rare in this day of people obsessed with the frivolous and silly unimportant things. Farming is the backbone of our world......thanks for sharing your insights and just your daily work routine. Some may find this routine or boring.....but American's esp. need to understand the hard work, difficulties and challenges that come with agriculture.....which for too many of us seems alien. It is only because we are so distanced from nature that we see farming this way...when the reality is we should better understand life on our farms. Very impressive videos. One suggestion: While in a noisy combine.....put captains in so I can better understand what you are saying. Thanks.
Thanks for the tour, and your never awkward most people couldn’t film themselves and come up with ideas to show your viewers. You do a great job, Busy time isn’t far off.
ppl don't understand how much equipment and manpower it takes to run a modern farm. beautiful shops and nice equipment. thank you
Loved the older logo on the truck. It looked like, here is a good old business, the kind I remembered from W. Lafayette in the late 70ies.
I am flabbergasted at the amount of vehicles one farm has. Must be worth millions. Great job showing us your farm and what it takes to run one. One comment, I never hear you mention your mom.
Thank you for being you and for sharing your daily life with us. During your shop tour, I notice something my dad had on his Nebraska farm back in the 1960's. It was the cylindrical metal soil thermometer with a 3/8" rod screwed into it. I used it multiple times; often every spring. I hadn't thought of that since I moved off of the farm in the 1980's. Please, keep sharing as this is soooo much better than TV!!! Feel real good about yourself as you have a great personality and kick___ looks!
Girl, just keep do what you are doing - you are real, alive, and aware. You give me hope for our culture!
You are not awkward! You do a fine job! Your dad has built a fine operation! You must be proud of him and excited to be part of the team!
On our dinky eastern farms you can never have enough Ford 600 tractors. I've got 3 and can rationalize every one of them. While we all have nice newer big tractors, you never have to look hard to find an old Ford still working. As for being awkward, you are one of the most real UA-camrs out there.....and just plain old fashion adorable.
When it comes to cramming stuff in a storage building my dad is the exact same way. I feel your frustration, And you comment on it in such a delicate way! I imagine you will miss the 8420, no EGR, no DEF, no governmental interference in the production of power of through a combustion engine. The bulldozer looks practically new. Very well-kept equipment!
What's not to love about any of this?
Thank you so much.
Your Dad is an expert at space utilization and other things. Also, he can be proud that he raised a wonderful, intelligent, and kind daughter with a beautiful smile. Keep the videos going, springs around the corner. I'll be watching.
Fun to see I'm not the only one who makes putting machinery away for the off season look like a big puzzle
Sometimes when you need the piece in the back it gets to be the machinery shuffle.
Great job Thank-you!
Haha Random creeper van in the corner, and she's not afraid to call it what it is :) Great video Erin
What's the timestamp i missed that part
Her giggle tells me that there are stories behind that van . Lol 😂,
What's a creeper van?
Oh no, I have a van like that!
The last thing you said is what makes you so adorable! Keep being yourself girl!
She is very modest and humble indeed.
WE is family and the farm. You are humble, but don’t worry we know what you mean and you are not being deceptive by saying we. So don’t sell yourself short! One day you might be running that show! Great farm, great video!
Erin don't be afraid to show anything and everything you do.
Your video demonstrates just how expensive it is to farm. Very cool video.
You aren't kidding. That 9560RT tractor at 1:25 new cost $450,000.
Thanks Erin! Love your beautiful smile 😁
I'm at a loss of words... Awesome tour... It's probably mundane for you but I love this stuff. Farms like this and farmers like your Dad just amaze me. Thanks.
There's public info about the farm's income, which is a lot, but then there's all these expenses, which is really a lot. It's really interesting. These farmers are great folks.
I love that your dad paid you and your siblings as youngsters for your work. Smart man!
Awesome equipment...your dads awesome. You are awesome.
Erin, the pole barn is huge! Your family has a HUGE investment in the farm. I too came from a farming family in Tennessee. Would you do a video on how “Technology” has increased the efficiency of farming. Many people think farming is an occupation for the uneducated. YOU are living proof that is ignorant and I have much respect for you and your family.
I am flabbergasted at the plant and equipment required to farm.
it sure takes a lot of stuff and equipment to run a modern farm.. respect to the hard working farmer
ERIN, you are the salt of the earth. You and your family work very hard. Farming is a challenging demanding and difficult job. I am a mechanical engineer and grew up with little knowledge of an uncle that ran a 100 head dairy farm in New England. He and his family did it all from planting, milking processing and delivering milk. I don't think he and his family ever slept. This was the 50's and 60's.
Your dad is certainly a hard worker. I don't know what the negative comment is but sounds like someone is envious and lacks self confidence. Don't listen too the negative confidence. You are very confident and don't lose it to these losers. As far as college. inbuilds confidence, self discipline and challenge. I am sure you use your education from seed selection to negotiating crop sales.
The maintenance of farm equipment is very impressive and pays dividends on the mechanical end avoiding breakdowns during the season.
I am so impressed with you and your family and you will be very successful. Life is about enjoining your occupation, money is secondary, it comes with success.
I am an animal lover and supporter too. Enjoyed the adventures of Roscoe.
I have much more to say. It is encouraging to see you and family working together in a time when many folks your age expect entitlement.
Funny you say you can never have too many 4020’s... I have a neighbor that has 7 of them, plus a whole fleet of other tractors for their main farming. And plus, don’t apologize for your awkwardness. It’s part of what makes you so great!
You're a gem.
So genuine, wholesome and down to earth.
A real sweetheart 😉
Erin you have some very clean well maintained equipment.....very impressive!
We want you to interview your dad, and your brother
That's exactly what I was thinking, too. All of you are obviously very hard working and industrious, so it would be nice to learn the perspectives of other family members from whom flows your family's success in farming. You could also interview some of your farm's employees to understand their role within the company. Another idea would be to tour different sites/farms in your town and talk to the people around town to gain an understanding of how people make a living, especially farming, in a small town like yours. You're doing a great job and serve as a fine ambassador to farms like yours, so keep up the good work!
Agree
Yeah
Your mom and sister, too.
I agee! It would be great to hear from your Dad. Interested in how many acres it takes there to be a profitable farm.
You are doing fine with your videos. Just be yourself.
The genuineness of the videos are what makes them good.
Im truly impressed with the growth of your channel in a short time span. Good work.
Thanks for the history on your farm. It's obvious your family works very hard making it happen.
Green is good, I grew up on a 800 acre plus beef cattle /potato farm in western Pennsylvania! Love seeing the older 4020 tractors as I grew up around them as well as 4010 and many other Deere tractors and equipment! Miss those days!
Love seeing your content ! Thanks for sharing
Dear Erin, you are our lovely farm girl, thanks a lot for your video! 👸 👍 💖
I have a 4020 my dad left me before he died, im currently having it restored to its original condition. I was 8 years old when my dad bought it new in 1970 so i grew up on this tractor
There is another channel with a 4020 rebuild in progress on "Farming, Fixing and Fabricating." They bought their 4020 new in 1970 and at the time it was the "big" tractor on the farm.
@@mannsjm Thanks I’ll check it out I still remember the day our 4020 was delivered to the farm & yes you are right it was the big tractor it even had an AM FM radio on the fender, very exciting times back then for an 8 year old
Wow, I never knew I had an interest in farming. You're not awkward. You're a person. Subscribed.
Everything is well kept and maintained! Looks like a showroom
Wow!! you guys take really good care of your equipment! Looks like showroom condition.
Gosh, that shed is nice.... clear out all the tractors, get some ice in there, we could have a good ‘ol hockey game can you tell I’m Canadian “eh”. 😂 You look as sweet as always Erin. God bless you and the whole “fam-damily “. 😁
Amazed at the cleanliness of your machinery. Underneath the sprayer, looks like you could eat off of it. Neat farm tour.
I can’t believe you fit between those wheels to get behind that “Bee”. You make me actually miss Indiana.
Erin, love the videos, keep them coming. It's easy to tell you are dedicated to what you do and how much you love your family.
Wow thats a lot of Tractors Erin. Your family is obviously very successful.
👍 most farm's aren't organized as your's!!
🚜🚜 be proud,🐮🐮
Awesome video!!🐓🐓
You are very likable & a great communicator.
I put a few clear panels in the roof of my pole barn, and I don't need lights during the day for most things. They've been in place for 10+ years with no problems.
Erin I don't think you're awkward at all you need to find job very easily see that you are part of a very well run operation something to be proud of the heritage and the way you take care of your equipment congratulations 😃!
Totally enjoyed seeing the capital assets side of the business. Still in awe of your dad’s new shop! Your vids are very easy and enjoyable to watch. Don’t change a thing. Best wishes from Prince Edward Island, 🇨🇦 Canada.
Tell your dad and great uncle wonderful job….. We can see the love your family has for the farm in your smile as you told us
Ol dad doesn’t throw your childhood away which is a good thing ☺️
Wow awesome. Thanks for the tour. Props to your camera presence and editing skills. Very professional and educational. Also you do a great job explaining the mechanical aspects of the equipment. You're parents are proud of you I'm sure. You also demonstrate how smart and hard working you have to be to make a living at farming.
Awesome and wholesome! Your family is what makes America great. The way that you clean and take care of the farm equipment is admirable.
Thanks for sharing your families farm and your childhood memmories .You are doing awesome on the videos
Thanks for the tour Erin.. I don't think you were awkward.. I haven't been on the farm since 87, when my uncle passed away. We were no where near as big as your operation.. We had 3 tractors, one of which was an old case that still had a manual crank to start it (it did have electric start, but the battery was always dead). Our newest tractor was an 83 international 1086. I sure miss those days. Thanks again
Erin I don't really know your family history but it sounds like it was built on hard work, alot of swet and knowledge.. I really hope your family farm will keep prospering in the future.. because America needs farmers like your family and not some bullionare buying up farm land that pretends to be a farmer.. they never planted a feild of corn or striked a arch on a welder.. God bless your family and other farming family's as well..Again America needs you! 🇺🇸🇺🇸
Thanks for a great tour. It's nice that all the equipment can be stored under a roof. That's still a dream for me! Good to see a couple 4020s as that is one I'm more familiar with. Now I need to study up on how the combine handles corn. Amazing equipment. Thanks again for sharing.
Wow, very impressive. Your father is very meat, clean and organized. I am sure that has contributed to his success. You can’t succeed in chaos. You have a very big and successful farm, just judging from the equipment.
It's aways Great to see your Videos. And it's Great to listen to you on the Farm. And the Raccoon 🦝... Take and God Bless you and your family ❣️
Would love to see an interview with your dad on the farm history!
You weren't awkward your doing great. You've come a long way since you started.
Very well done Erin. Carry on the family farm we need more young ladies to do what ur doing
NOT awkward at all Erin. Always be who you are and nobody else, and thank you for putting the time to record and edit you videos with your busy life.... Just curious any bloopers takes that you edited out ???
Erin, thank you for the tour, very impressive. Erin your not awkward, your just being you, don't change a thing,,,
Agreed (with MikeBrock28)... you are NOT AWKWARD Erin.... don't apologize!!! Cool place and yes, your Dad is king of tractor Tetris...LOL. It's an impressive collection; the warehouse and equipment your Uncle and Dad built up. That was no small feat for sure.
Very nice. Thanks for the tour.
Good Tour. That is a large farm. Great videos. Keep up the good work.
Best line ever "You can never have too many 4020 "

Nice, honest and informative. Not awkward. Thanks
WOW, not awkward, but beautiful. Dang, you could get lost on that place. I'm used to barns and fields where we planted corn and tobacco and tomatoes. Yours are HUGE!
