You might want to read the statement again. I did not say the song itself was cut from the tour, but this is an uncut version including the final regular lines. Those were cut from later versions of the song and also never returned. Compare the original studio version or this one to the IT-recording from London Wembley and you'll get the idea.
I think cutting out these 45 seconds of this song was a very painful compromise to save Phil's voice. The cut version lost a lot of power and dynamic, which is typical for this song and gives an "incomplete" impression, because it ends too soon just when it is in motion. I was on the invisible touch concert in Vienna in June 1987 and my first thought was "there is something missing". @ saffi01: I agree: One of the most powerful live performances of this song I've ever heard.
