I don't understand why there are comments saying "you are missed Phil" etc.. the man is still very much alive.. I've always liked his music, but when he joined up with John Martyn he took it up to a greater level...
He's still alive but he can only sing now, not play drums or keyboard like he used to be able to. He has all but retired since he's become quite frail in recent years.
I miss Phil more than I thought I would. Great talent all the way around. I hope he finds some peace in his life and can see his way back to performing, I don't care if he just sits in a chair and sings in a lower key....I'd pay money just to see him
It's seems ridiculous I know, he has actually saved my life. Music has far more meaning than most people ever give it credit for. Even those that aren't die-hard music fans have been touched ever so deeply. Phil Collins was the master of reaching inside you and pulling out what was already there.

My Pidgey always loved Phil, but now my Carolla (who is normally quire rambunctious and rarely sits with me for more than 10 minutes) is sleeping, and has been with me for nearly an hour now.
