When he said "put down your phone, stop eating your popcorn" thats me when I hear the theme, lol, gives me chills everytime!
lt good
Cuboy'dMC yep every movie by Universal I put my phone down and watch. That's how good the movies are
the first time I saw the new intro/logo was the lorax
universal is now 105 years old I can imagine the earth between the 1 and 5 that would make a pretty good logo
Same
I am so proud of him! He kept it original and made it gold in the end.
Ah, I see what you did there.
@user-rf7bf8mp5k Yep, he sure did. It sounds almost as identical.
The choir really made it sound a lot better
I agree
When the choir kicks in alongside the drums I get the biggest goosebumps. Total awesomeness
Trevor Henry Man I wish they put the new universal logo in Barney's great adventure the movie I saw The new universal logo on the back of the DVD of Barney's great adventure the movie.
Agreed
For real!!!
Brian Tyler KILLED it with this one. This might be my favorite Universal logo varient.
Haha I remember when the new logo came out for a movie I was seeing I literally got goosebumps to me it was breath taking.
Me too
Andie Calderon p
Andie Calderon
Same
Andie Calderon simple after effects element 3D & 3D camera simple stop crying
This intro gives me goosebumps!!! (and it takes a lot to give me goosebumps!)
Me too ! 😂😍😍😍😍
Goosebumps to go along with your indoctrination where you BELIEVE that you live on a spinning ball! Remember that belief is the enemy of knowing.
Man I thought I was the only one who values these logo intros. Those big letters circling the earth with that music pumps me up for ANY movie from Universal - even if it turns out to be a disappointment. 😁
Universal's logo at the cinema it's amazing.
Kiwi el Kiwi 🥝 right
Sure is, and I was actually starting to think we lived on a spinning ball.
1:55 My Best Part ever my life
I don't care what monitor and sound system you have at home this is never more powerful then in a surround sound theater.
nightofthecastle No doubt about that! Soon that choir starts singing, biggest goosebumps from head to toe. It's so powerful that I feel like it could just destroy me.
Most of the Universal movies I saw are just for the intro :D
yea right
***** What the fak?
Imagine the letters getting over the earth appears everytime a movie plays worldwide
Why is nobody commenting?
@@frostiiify9505 you just commented
Imagine that no aircraft pilot, no canal building engineer, no surveyor, no bridge engineer, no road engineer, no train track engineer, no underground tunnel engineer, no submarine navigator, no anybody in these fields and any others ever, ever account for earth "curvature" in their plans. Why is that?
If I make my first movie, I'd like to choose Universal. Because I wanna see this in Theater.
+jjs1108 me too. only universal. universal is the theater god.
jjs1108 yes the movies are amazing and so are the shows I will love Universal till I die
I like 20th Century Fox but I love Universal Studios better!!!
jjs1108 p
Oldest american studio and 3rd oldest in the world after french studios Gaumont and Pathé.
Jerry would be proud.
Forget about Trump and Clinton, this is what really matter in life. This is IT!!!
Yes, i can feel it.
What it's all about!
I agree
No person woman man camera tv
This new logo is:
Unbelievably
Nicely
Incredibly
Valuably
Excellently
Respectably
Sensationally
Amazingly
Legendary!
In other words, it’s U.N.I.V.E.R.S.A.L.!
Ian Bird-ton you just turned UNIVERSAL into an acronym. Stan Lee would be proud of that.
I read T.U.N.I.V.E.R.S.A.L
Like Robert Muldoon would say: Clever Girl...
Ian Bird-ton yep.
@@ianbird-ton man dat is smart as hell
When you’re a composer and you write music for a movie a tv show or something as simple as a movie logo, when you rehearse the theme, and it gives you chills, then you know you’ve hit the sweet spot
Hearing this in the movie theaters is absolutely the best!!!
You know when you are watching a quality movie if you hear this theme ((:
Also when you hear the Disney logo movie
+Leone Cruz >implying
I love how magical and powerful it sounds. It gives me the good chills!
I won't expect the music or the graphics to ever be topped, and it gives me chills every time too. :-)
There should be a 100th anniversary soundtrack for this epic studio, celebrated by the legendary and iconic logo. Brian Tyler is an amazing man. Hopefully this logo will bring a new generation of movie logo fans to their feet!
1:29
I don't blame him, I get them every time.
That sub-bass dude.... dayyyum 😂👌
I’m guessing tubas are going 8ba, the string basses are soli x2 an octave apart and the contra bassoon is giving some of that grit. Gives me such unction!
universal came and wiped out THX
I don't see anymore THX movies
I thought THX was a surround system company xD Hence why they make their intense intro, to test surround systems. Literally the best way to tell you if you need new speakers, if one isn't working, to ensure the bass is balanced, etc. Oh well, unsure of it tbh
@amar chalef bnn you mean Lucasfilm?
I still get goosebumps when I see this logo.
Indoctrinationbumps
Jerry Goldsmith
2:02 - 2:07 - I think that ascending thing on top of the very beginning of the Goldsmith music is too present.. or possibly too raw. For the added choir and percussions - thumbs up.
Georg M h
Absolutely spot on.
This kind of stuff. It's this kind of stuff that inspires me. So much emotion packed into a 20 something second intro. Beautiful.
Takes one damn talented sound engineer
And a Harrison console.
R.I.P James Horner for all the great soundtracks and music that you did AND the Universal intro music 1997
The music for the 1997 logo was made by jerry goldsmith. The one for the 1990-1997 logo was meda by horner if i remember corectly.
Musical genius! Goosebumps everytime!
Brian Tyler did an amazing job taking the Universal Theme Song to another level!!
Orchestra is better than today's music...
This song is so intense 😭 that made me cry xD
This sounded good right before Fast and the Furious 1 started
Yep
When he finished speaking and conducting, then it went right to the very logo, I think I got the biggest chills I’ve ever felt in my life
To be a personal witness to this is real honor to see how the music of this all comes together, I hear it every time I watch a movie by Universal when the music swells like this you know you're in for something unexpected. Thanks so much for sharing this masterpiece.
The previous one is iconic,
But this one just makes it so much more epic.
The choir and percussion, gives me chills everytime.
1:50, that choir sounded incredible 😀
This theme always gave me chills. It's just too damn epic.
That music is so iconic and fabulous with BRIAN TYLER
Everytime this plays at the theatre, I literally get chills. I really like this theme.
Even when a movie is bad?
"It's a huge honor" - Brian Tyler.
You're God damn right.
I saw this at the special effects show at universal studios Hollywood... gave me chills
this is outstanding!!! i saw this same video at the "special effects show" at the universal studios theme park 😂😂😂 i just had to see this again
This reorchastrated version of the logo score is AWESOME!! Also, if you want it to sound more powerful, I recommend you have your audience sing the logo's theme along with you!
Amazingly I now hear everything now. My favorite intro.
What a great honor
1:41 Oh that's what I always say in the movies!! I tell everyone to shush listen and watch this moment! It always gives me shivers every time.
still remember jurrassic Park....!
I absolutely LOVE IT. It brings back my childhood mem
Of being duped since you could crawl into mindlessly believing you live on a spinning sphere? Yep, good mem, LOL! Glad you love being deceived!
LEGENDARY
So beautiful I’m going to tear up.
I’m a huge space fan and I’m also in band so this is just the coolest thing ever, when you see on the big screen the amount of realism the earth and space is, and then the cadence of instruments blowing it away is just magical to me ❤️
Wow, how iconic is Universal as a production company?
More than we all know it.
BRIAN TYLER!!! A god damned genius! Thank you, brotha!
Best version of the Universal Intro EVER :D
The *REAL* prototype logo in some of it's glory can be found here.
Best and favorite part of the movie
So much work went into making it, that’s pretty amazing
This is really amazing ..The reason for existence and living. I cannot tell you how many times this has lifted me up ... must make it a ringtone.
2:02 I didn't remember about this version but man I love it, reminds me of my childhood but with a even more beautiful version 😍
It's seen in The Lorax (2012)
1:53 Universal Logo (2012) (Prototype)
I’m addicted to listening to it and now I get to see how it’s made
This gives you chills Everytime you hear it...that means someone did something right!👍👍🙌
first 3 letters UNI are just like "You and I" xD
If this composition gives you goosebumps, you're just like millions of others, including me. In other words, that doesn't make you special. It makes the composer special.
THIS IS SO COOL ITS GOOD THAT IS MADE BY A CHOIR.
That’s AWESOME! I love it! The intro of Universal is my favorite among all those film companies. Thank you!
Working with an already brilliant piece of music makes it hard to improve upon it, yet somehow Brian was able to do it. Mad respect to the man
Paramount: Well uh... that's nice. *eye twitch*
I just love the choir sing. Sounds like Angels singing straight from heaven
This is why I wish they would make it sound louder in the theaters its always a little too quiet.
When I knew Bryan Tyler was on the Mario movie score I didn't knew him enough until I remembered this making of, it's so nostalgic now
Beautiful
He completed his speech saying, "it's a huge honour" in the most heartfelt way❤️, followed by the universal pictures theme song playing in full. I must say, this gave me chills beyond this universe ❤️❤️🔥thanks Brian Tyler, thanks universal pictures 🌏🙏❤️
He also gonna compose the Super Mario Bros Movie!
OMG! The Universal Logo Was Centennial!
Even I was surprised to know that
Universal has and always been my #1 favorite film and television studio company, and the way they bring this iconic logo and having Brian Tyler who scored recently "Fast Five" as an composer/conductor is a great idea, and following the footsteps of the late great Jerry Goldsmith's anthem is just wonderful, big thumbs way up for this featurette, and btw what is your favorie Universal film or Television series?
Very dramatic and beautiful- I cried
So perfect for getting you to the right level of amped before the movie
1:36 The Video On The Screen Is The Prototype 2012 Logo.
First time I ever saw this logo several years ago, I got chills.
Compliments from the Kingdom of the Netherlands!
I can feel the delicacy put into this you did well
It's amazing how much work is put into something that seems so small but really isn't at all :)
I love where it goes sub sound or that rumble effect at the end
just came here coz I was about to watch The Foreigner, then typed universal logo and tadaaaaa. I always wonder how they did it. Awesomeeee💝
best intro ever, really hope they never get rid of it
Of course it was Brian Tyler who scored this!
Lumify | Gil how is that obvious?
whoever made this and who played the insturments deserve so much
“Put down the phone, stop eating your popcorn for a split second and pay attention,” I wished that’s how movie theaters actually worked.😅
i really appreciate that the globe doesnt end turning with the americas in front (like in old logos) but with showing the americas, europe and africa now (Sorry Asia ;) )
I initially thought using the word genius was stretching it a bit far, but for an already great piece of music to me improved, and for it to give over 80% of listeners" goosebumps "and" chills", what a modern day masterpiece, if it's not genius, then it's not far off. Wow. Getting chills writing this
20th century fox 🦊-our theme song is lit 🔥
Universal logo - hold our orchestra 💅🏽🔥
Looks like you got some competition, Fox.
Best score I've ever heard!
THAT WAS AWESOME!!!!!
Beautiful...just beautiful
WOW!!!! 100th AMNIVERSATY?!
This is incredible..
So much for a 30 sec music snippet. Amazing
