Another tip do the hunt rouge ships missions in the helm. They give you rare resources that you can buy in the black market saving you tons of pieces of eights.

I most definitely get the frustration of sailing back n forth like a Sea UPS captain lol and im from the over grinding games era. So this vid does help once you get past a certain threshold in the end game. Hopefully the next season will add faster traversal or better ways to get said pieces and resources.
You'll be repeating the entire process all over next season... everything you accomplish is wiped each season.
That alone makes it pointless to play as far as I'm concerned.

Good video for po8 grind, I just have an annoying bug right now that gives me permanent aggro with the north east fara clan so i cant grind the east indie po8. Its caused by a main quest boss just not spawning and i cant cancel main quests so i have to wait for a fix.

i have Harufu at level 10. i have all trade routes established. i have all the same helm upgrades done as you. and Harufu is only getting 156 per hour. not the 522 your getting. Has this been nerfed or am i missing something

I mean, I LOVE live service game... as time goes by they add more and more. Issue is the launch/foundation can be shallow.... but S&B has one of the most fleshed out foundations/things to do I've ever seen in a live service game.
IMO this is hands down the most annoying part of this game. I don't make a lot of 8's that's because i refuse to paly delivery boy. I also feel like I don't need to have a billion 8's being generated at this time. I have 7 locations at level 7 I get around 5k a day that is more than enough to generate8's that I want to spend buying things in the market. Hell aall of this will reset in season 2 anyway so until there is a need to generate more 8's then I'll step up my output. I'm more than happy to go out and capture supploy points, i just don't want to think about picking up coin and delivering them anywhere. Not fun in my opinion. I want naval battles, and monster fights, bosses! Exploration! to be free of the bounds! You know, a ppirates life!
You hit the nail on the head. I can't stand videos that make claims tgat just aren't true. You have to capture territories you have to grind po8 until you get the levels up on all connecting points only then is any of this relevant and it's not going to happen over night and it's not going to be unlimited 8s.
I can draw in 28k an hour but it's from working ut. Thankfully tge interact to collect no longer requires a 0 hostile level. I farm my way through anything that moves, collect every scrap of food and every wreck I come across while I collect 8s. It's more about getting the most res and mats for every move you make. I currently only fund 12 factories but before they were leveled and connected I funded all of them.

I have my route setup currently making 47k per 45 min run. Can do it twice a day. If I try I can make 100k po8 a day fairly easily. I have bought everything that costs silver or gold, and most things that cost sovereigns, I've completed all the missions and investigations, I have every ship loaded out for a specific task. I think I'm out of content at this point. 71 days left in the season, all there is to do now is collect materials/gold...
Do the manufactures connected to the one you upgrade the most have to be funded to gain the most profit from the upgraded one?
No they don't! The manufacturies don't produce as much anymore and can be funded for longer since the last update. Harafu is no longer OP either haha.

Great video. I cannot see myself, or others, playing this game for very long. The time I am able to set aside for games is supposed to be fun. This silly economics-driven gaming is tedious as Hell and feels like a full time job. Am I wrong here? Because in 70-something days, this all gets reset, no? Then everything I have worked on gets erased and I have to claim each manufacture point agin, yes? God, I hope I’m wrong and only Leaderboards get reset.
I have been thinking the same, i have alot of spots but i dont see myself doing this all again. What if they just make it more expensive to unlock new area of ocean instead of resetting everything
They should have these things delivered to us as an option . For those who want the double mission let them go do it manually

except megafort oosten all mine are 10, what i dont understand is whats the point, when you hit diamond leage its only the top 8 that get rewards, im in the top 200 atm and am having no drive to keep me goin knowing i wont make top 8 but if i tried i could probably hold top 100 so whats the point?
For me, at that point I'd be looking to 100% side quests/missions/buy EVERYTHING and lock play 'keeper of the cargo'... sailing around with CTC or Po8 DoN and just fighting everyone for fun... po8 are the end game loop sure... but there is a sandbox element to this game where you can just go have fun!
@@BehavingBeardly to keep your collectors goin you need to be farming the forts for the resources pretty reguarly but they only give the same forts over and over, dont get me wrong i enjoy the game but the whole top 8 thing has been irrotating me for a week or 2 now, side missions are done only thing left for me to do is 10 oosten which i think i need to be able to destroy it first almost duo'd it the other day we ran outta ammo, and thre is a couple of the europian cosmetic ship set im missing from cutthroat cargo and world event chests, farming forts is an easy way to do your battle pass, can get basically 1 - 1.5 smuggler pass teirs per fort, if you undersand your ship builds and spend a couple hrs it racks up in no time
You can only do the po8 double quest 1 time per 24 hours
Fun fact... To Stop grinding for PoE you have to grind for PoE.
Live service games.... there HAS to be some kind of grind or you'd have nothing to keep you playing for the season haha

They need to add another Den to the African coast or give us some kind of an auto collection system
People complaining about how long it takes to grind out. Its much simpler than grinding in Monster Hunter or WoW I mean 15 min drive with the brig I get 800 pieces and thats with lvl 1 to 2 manufacturers on top of helm runs. A good day will net you big money easy. People say its like real life economics, guess you never took that class.

It's default? You can't change the amount it has? Take over all the manufactures that link to it. You don't need to fund or upgrade them

There should be a button or something that allows you to collect all areas you own that has pieces of eights in there , It would be so much easier and less time consuming than sailing around the map 😂
It's like it is because there is no end game so they make iot hard and time consuming to collect it all just to prolong the gameplay.
There has to be some kind of grind to stay active but you need to remember you don't need to spend all your time collecting. You play as you want. Leave them full for days if you want

All that set up just to run one manufacturer to get about 4000 coins an hour. It's still going to take you forever to unlock the sovereigns. My next goal for sovereigns is 140,000 gold and the next one after that is 200,000

It has indeed! The logic still applies. You just don't get the 55% boost per trade link... I think it works out as 7.5% but haven't jumped in game yet to work it out properly. By what I fathom, the East Indies is FAR better now than Africa
So what now? They increased the silver requirement for the manufactures, and you need to make ton of silver to even run them, for me i only have 2-3 hours max a day its very bad experience. Before the patch i could do almost every manufacture and loved to sail around to collect, now i dont get this feeling anymore :(
Just do your collection of full manufactories at most every 2 days. Use the spare time to make gold skull rum to sell to scurlock for silver or black opium to Rhama. Ots actually easier as the Po8 economy is relative. And now there's no top 8 reward, its all platinum which everyone should can get relatively easily
Pieces of eight aren't really the issue. It's the sovereigns that are the issue because you need far more pieces of eight to earn sovereigns and you'll ever actually use for your weapons and stuff and then all that just has to go into upgrades

Upgrade your left most empire upgrades. Sell the higher level products from your distillery and lab to the kingpins for 250 each.
How many times can you sail around the map killing ships for stuff you don’t need?
I maxed out my ship in two weeks, spent all the po8 I needed. Now what? PvP is the only exciting thing in this game for me and that’s lack luster in itself.
I’m giving the game some cooking time and hopefully when I come back there’s something to do.
if your not enjoying it then let it cook - I'm loving the general content RN - the game is always pulling you in different directions haha - I let the game steer my actions

It's a live service game with a year 1 road map out already.... they've not even started yet haha
I'm at 202,000 per day, just bought every single PoE item in the shop (that isn't raw materials). I only have africa and red isle unlocked, all taken over, and there is no way am i doing the indies, no need. All upgrades in all categories purchased as well, except for the indies one.
Every manufactory I have is at level 10, just because I could. I do two runs per day, so I am not getting the full 202K, but more like 120K. And at some point very soon, I probably will only do it once per week, and I'd never do a supply run, because those berries (etc) are how I fund the manufactories. If I start shutting down the less profitable ones (Forts, I'm looking at you at 16+ silver per PoE, vs Harafu's 2.3 silver per), then the runs become less "profitable" PoE wise but take a lot less silver, and if I chop out the western most africa ones, I'd just do one north/south coast of africa run a day, skipping said forts.
there's nothing to do with the Po8 after a certain point. you dont get any more soverigns after you hit diamond. though i could be mistaken
@@bryant2672 I will be stockpiling them for a while, so when the next season comes, I can buy all the upgrades, level them up to 10, etc instantly. But, it won't take long to get to that point.
@@ericweeks8386 those will be reset. i doubt that SNB will let people upgrade that easily. They want people to continue playing the game. Cant do that if everyone doesn't do the daily grinds to buy the weapons.

I was rank 7 on the seasonal leaderborad in the world first week i used this way to get there.

im running out of silver ive sunk 100s of thousands of silver every 30 minutes funding all my manufactories. if i run out of coin im done not grinding for another currency

The game is great, the problem though is it is heavily centered around the helm and po8, I have everything one could want from the black market using pieces of 8 or the sovereign coin, really leaves me with nothing left to do, is a bummer, loved the game but it is doomed to slowly die out with not much to do, the monster teeth was a waist of time, that armor isn’t that great along with the weapon and other random blue print
They will add more every update and season. This is a pretty damn solid foundation!

Good video but you talking about getting 5k to unlock Africa to get 522h rate. You forget that people need to put at least 50k eight in Upgrades get this rate.
don't need to do upgrades off the bat - I didn't - once you have a couple lv 10s the upgrades fly past
Why not just take contrqxt and run it over and resupply? It only effective if you are in the area.. you'd stop and pick it up... its dumb to sail around picking it up.. taking hours...when I can take a 200 roving contract and go sell it over and over again. Plus you can fight rogues which will get your season pass done.. I have finished my pass by just doing deliveries and fighting rogues that come after me.

In the end you only need a few thousand PO8 for the equipment you want, the rest is ranking nonsense.

All live service games need a grind to keep people playing. Just remember you don't HAVE to do all of it. Some people will ignore Po8 and just do side quests. Beauty of a live service game us you play how you want
But, this still requires grinding pieces of 8.
Haha of course there's some grind... its a live service game... but this helps folks from making it into a never ending grind

I would suggest not running juniper berries on supply runs just yet I think it’s bugged
When you’re doing your upgrades on empire management and the other one for Africa you’ll see the required amount for juniper berries going down but when you get there you have to give 230 berries for Harufu.
Some people say it’s just a visual bug but I’m not so sure about that.

Might be better to take them to 7 and not above. That allows our folks who can't play every minute to pay and collect twice a day. Don't go to 10 unless you can constantly babysit. I wish we could revert levels. @@BehavingBeardly
Biggest Problem with "grinding" Po8 is that it is completley useless. You only get a reward in Top 8 and no legit player will ever reach that point.
The best people can do, is to only boost all the red isle manufactures to 10 (except the fort) and only collect this every 2 days with double or nothing. Especially casual player wont be able to afford more than the red isle in the long run. All 3 regions on 10 are around 3kk Silver every two days, without trading and "exploiting" the traders, there is currently no way to afford that.
I mean - this is a live service game with an element of sandbox - As long as you get what you want withj the Po8 or Sov you can just play how you want - I spend VERY little time farming Po8 and enjoy the rest the game has to offer
@@BehavingBeardly Not even Ubisoft themself did put sandbox in their tags for this game.
And dont get me wrong, im having a blast playing it - almost at 999.999 exp - but lets be honest, currently the game doesnt have anything to offer beside farming Po8. Loot from activits doesnt increase with your kingpin rank and thats a big problem, even my lvl 70+ kingpin chests are full of crap.
And then theres the thing, that we dont have any reason to farm materials, all the materials i used for crafting guns etc, were from the open beta. Same goes for "bosses" who actually does the new bounty after crafting the armor and why was the ship not the last reward in the battlepass?
You may not agree but as far as it looks, the game is made to depend on people willing to mindless farm their Po8 and nothing else. I think thats really sad and the year-one roadmap doesnt show anything that would change that. Again i'm having a blast and yes they simply had to release it in this state, but the base game depends way too much on that player "waste" their time on Po8 and the helm activitys.

There are no other activities in the game other than grinding the gold... unfortunately, it is starting to get old fast, and I'm afraid no one will want to play soon. Waist of 70 bucks right now anyhow...

I laugh at the "Stop Grinding" part of the title. Oh that's it...all you have to do is what is said here? That should be easy right? WRONG. The grind to get to the point of this video is mind numbing and discouraging. Wish the video would have made it clear how many Po8 you will need to get to the point of this video...I'm guessing its in hundreds of thousands. Nothing really new here. All that being said, I'm still having fun playing the game...I'm just slow on the Po8 grind.
beauty of these types of games is you play how you want - and this is about smarter management of your manufacturies lol SO MANY are just funding and leveling ALL manufactories and wasting BUCKETS of time - I spend little time faming Po8 and play the rest the game has to offer - having a blast!
If you do delivery missions for the gold, and concentrate on just a few high output manufactories, it goes pretty quick. The hard part is not spending the gold on gear instead of city upgrades. I have about 10 cities upgraded to 9 now, and the few in-between at 7. Next run I will make about 50k po8, that will upgrade most of my places from 9 to 10 and give me an extra 15k on the next run. It starts off slow, but ramps up really fast. A video like this would have saved me an ass load of wasted time, I learned the hard way...

Really? A lot of major ones were patched straight away and they've communicated the ones they're working on. I've barely seen any! Might be fixed now for you?

Kinda sad that they made this game all about grinding Po8's . 11 years and that's what they came up with . Ubisoft never gets it . Luckily there's parts of the game that I still enjoy , for now .
