As someone who is also very decent at this game, specifically air RB, I can be overly critical of CC's sometimes, but honestly, no complaints with you. You fly well, you know what you're doing, kudos and looking forward to more uploads and more frequent uploads.
The channel has grown loads over the last week so it's going well. I was sticking to roughly weekly uploads, depends on how my day job is going and how much I'm playing. I don't want to force videos because I think the gameplay and quality would suffer you know? As it is I'm playing a lot right now for the patch RP grinds so I'm hoping to get some extra videos out in the next few weeks to keep up the momentum I watch a bunch of other CCs myself and a lot of time it's either one of: -very good pilot but not as much in the way of describing their gameplay -not as good pilot or doesn't really enjoy top tier but really good voiceovers and information I enjoy watching both of the above, but I figured maybe I have a decent niche somewhere down the middle

I don't understand how these tomcat pilots keep getting caught so slow. At lower speeds with the wings all the way forwards, the tomcat retains speed quite well - and actually has a higher sustained turn-rate than something like the J-10 (tmk). I know that the energy generation isn't as good as many of these higher tier jets, but still, it bewilders me how they are so easily caught slow.
Yeah the F-14a especially with the weaker engines do get caught slow a lot. Also note that anyone can buy the Iranian F-14a so there will a lot of newer players flying them, couple that with the move in BR to 12.7 and you can get some nasty down tier games like these flying 13.7 (they're quite frequent at the moments as well). To be fair as well there's a lot of moments in this video where I probably should have died, a slightly better pilot in the F-14 and they're probably hitting some of those gun shots
@@MiGanFox3 Yes there were, but fortunately most top tier players - even very good ones almost entirely play for position in dogfights, rather than playing for an energy advantage so you came out unscathed. In planes with good energy retention/generation you can really catch people off guard by sticking to the 2-circle and spiralling as if you were playing a subsonic. Cool vids. Even as an experienced player, I'm still getting used to top tier and I like the way you explain ur gameplay.
@@Fuzeha You are right though I can recall a few odd scenarios where I've been caught out in the way you mention (though with stuff like a J-10, M2K and Gripen you can often just float inside their circle if they don't extend away). But yeah position is king especially if you still have missiles in my experience, dogfights are rare at top tier & you often need to finish it quickly, so I often find aggression & risk is the way to go Appreciate the comments 👍 A lot of the youtubers I watch don't go into enough detail for my taste on top tier positioning and strategy with examples, so I thought I could make some useful stuff
@@MiGanFox3 Yeah you are entirely correct, aggression is rewarded, getting kills quickly is more often than not worth losing energy and thus position is king at top tier. It's just that I learned to play on Sabres and MiG-17/15s and I like to try and sort of rebel against the current meta, by playing for energy more than I should 😂. Perhaps not as effective but it is very enjoyable. As for the content, I think you've found a bit of a niche and I like the way you explain things - I was bewildered to find you had so few subs. Perhaps you need a catchier name like Joob or Jaek or DEFYN or something 😂

I did enjoy my time in the MiG 15/17/19 but it's also frustrating with how vulnerable you are to 3rd parties, that and you spend ages energy trapping someone only for a teammate to swoop in and take the kill 🤣 Maybe, I am quite attached to the name though, the double play on words works so well haha. The channel is only 2 months old to be fair and I knew focusing on informative content would take a bit to grow, but I'm getting consistent performance from my recent videos (This one is already doing very well and I've picked up like 9 subs off it). I always viewed this as a passion project first and foremost, I do make the shorts as well for a little extra exposure but I don't really enjoy making them (It's just super quick and easy to throw together). One of the best displays I’ve seen in the ja10 👏🏾👏🏾 was wondering if you’ve played any of the German top tiers, mig 29 and the 29g. Just unlocked the mig29 but I’m completely lost in top tier br. Any tips or things to focus at first and then build up from there?
I haven't played much of the MiG-29 and 29g recently, they've both been power crept pretty bad since the fox-3 update. I regret to inform you Germany top tier is probably the saddest tree right now, they should be getting a swiss hornet soon and eventually a eurofighter though For the 29/29g in down tiers you should be very strong, take the altitude and bully people with the ERs who try to contest you. In an up tier it's gonna be rough, the ERs again are still super strong, but be aware if someone with fox-3s launches at you you'll probably be forced to break your lock when you defend I'll give you the same recommendation I gave someone else on the 29g. Go to bad karma's channel and find his most recent video playing it to see some actual gameplay of another amazing player
@ Thanks, I’ll check his channel out. Yes, Realized the depressing state of the tech tree pretty early. Only highlight for me was the mig21 line other than that it’s either a worse copy and paste version or aircraft’s that’s been power crept since the release of fox3. And now with the introduction of the new f15e with the power to thrust to outrun almost anything I hope Germany gets some love inform of a f18. 😁

Thanks mate! Only by playing a lot (my play time on steam is at about 2600 hours now) and watching other youtubers, no irl experience to speak of other than I guess my job and mind are very analytically focused so maybe that helps? 🤣

It's pretty subjective, it depends whether we're talking about props/early jets/cold war jets/modern jets. Whether you want stuff for CAS in ground RB as well etc etc. I'll give you my take on top tier jets for the nations I play: - USA: Plenty of great options and will have a lot more to come in future updates - Russia: Airframes and fox-3s weaker than most, can be fun but difficult to use at the moment (a lot more to come in future updates as well though) - Germany: Poor at top tier at the moment with limited good options, will get a Eurofighter at some point next year probably - Britain: Again pretty poor at top tier, the JAS39C is good but that's your only good option right now until the Eurofighter arrives - France: Great tree, unique stuff now and in future with missiles and airframes (Mirage 2k is amazing and Rafale will likely come next year) as well as some US imports - China: Good tree at top tier based on the J-10 alone (J-7E is a gem slightly lower down as well), also some Russian imports - Sweden: Again JAS39C is good but limited variety here Haven't levelled Israel, Japan and Italy as they're all mostly imported from other trees at top tier. I'd check out Defyn's content if you want more info on lower tier planes. Without knowing what your goals are, I'd maybe suggest picking the air tree that aligns with your favourite ground tree so you can use the planes in both game modes?
J-10 my ass you are always in downtier... though you have nice and steady "trigger finger" actually launching missiles that are likely to connect. Sometimes I personally launch an early missile just to force a group to defend as the locking beam has quite a scatter. The last match is pretty much as juicy situation as it gets. Situations like this usually net 5 kills with A120s.
Haha oh yeah I'm absolutely not always in a downtier, just they're quite frequent after the F-14a BR increase (before that they were basically never). Yeah unless I feel I need to exert some pressure I usually hold my missiles for higher probability shots, I do often take long range shots in the F-15 though, when you have that many 120s it just makes sense. The 120 is an interesting one for me though, they're actually one of my least favourite fox-3s because they generally don't suit my playstyle. They're one of, if not the weakest at pulling in close range meaning when you get into those sub 20km jousting duels you're at a big disadvantage. The PL-12 has a nice balance of agility and range I'd say, but yeah that spot in the last game would be a dream in an F-15
@MiGanFox3 yea basically all I do is cruise at 8-10km with F15C reaching mach 1.4 up to 2 aero smoking the entire match just to deter ppl and make them remember me so 8 a120 are excellent for my BVR playstyle 3 kills minimum every match and its usually no stress. I actually pack more chaff than flares even though chaff is pretty much ineffective but hey better being chased by 2 missiles than :3. It's always about playing into your aircraft strengths.
@@whoneedshandlesanyway Yeah so I don't like the BVR gameplay massively, I enjoy the close range stress haha. It is nice when those long range shots work, the problem is the further you fire from the more reliant you are on the enemies not making any defensive effort, granted a lot of people will just happily fly into it for you
@@MiGanFox3 its not about that sure if you do 180 depending on the distance the fox 3 wont catch you though closer you need to go left and right. Most ppl wont do that and instead just dive thinking they are safe. It's about going fast about 800m/s at 20km is pretty much guaranteed kill (also watching your radar for the target heading if they might be already defending) and still obviously most of my kills don't come from this only like max 2. The real beauty of this tactic is the juicy situation. I have around 80% hit rate at targets hugging ground 15km and closer. The only disadvantage of this is majority of the action happens after the 3rd minute clash so either there are no targets or I'm last man standing.

You're right though about people diving thinking they're safe, multipathing is still useful tool but most players aren't switched on to the fact it doesn't work so well if the missile is coming from above you. I have noticed people are gradually getting better at adapting to the multipath change, but there's still lots of easy kills out there as you probably know haha
I prefer your voice over videos seems much more informative and I don’t have to look at the video to have an understanding of the video
