Awesome, I love it! I was telling my Husband this morning I needed him to build me a sewing table! Thanks for sharing! I want doors on the front of mine to cover my clutter and goodies!
I love my craft table sweetie!! It has worked great for both my sewing and scrapbooking projects! And my hips thank you for removing that corner...saves me a lot of bruises 😂
Nice work! That's a pretty sweet idea to recess the sewing machine into the table. I'm sure you earned mega points with the wife for this build. It's just a shame that all the points reset every night. :) Great job! And it was cool of you to plug Mr. Neiner too... what a great guy.
Thanks! Yeah, she’s a big fan. It was her Christmas present so it was a great deal. I got to do a build and video, and she got a crafting center, haha. Doug is awesome!
Just FYI, sewing tables have historically had recessable compartments for the machine. It used to be de rigeur because, well, the machine was built in to the table and the belts and foot pedal were also integrated. But you could also fold the machine away inside the table. This technology was common easily 100 years ago, if the sewing machine I learned on wasn't some kind of steampunk unicorn device! Thank you! I have also just realised that the drawers on my desk were on the wrong side. I am so glad that your fix is the same as mine. I feel vindicated.
Turned out great, Caleb! I like that last "clamp" you used for the top. ha ha. The recess for the sewing machine really is a nice touch...with that sitting in there, it really gives the custom look.
That truly is a fantastic build! However I would change it to make room for my scroll saw instead of a sewing machine. That really looks cool! Thanks for sharing.
My wife purchased a similar thing, the only thing that I see that's substantially different is that the recess for the sewing machine has a lip and a cover that sets in when the machine is out so you get a nice flat surface when the machine is out.
Came here from r/DIY was not disappointed. Keep it up. Tiny suggestion; you mentioned your buddy I wanted to check out his channel but I didn't see a link in the description, links help a lot I open links by the dozen, but I need to be really interested in a suggestion to search for things so if you want to help your buddy out you should include the link in the description. Am I the only that feels this way?
How well does that Kreg Clamp hold the jig down? I got really tired of screwing and unscrewing clamps as the bit would try to run if the clamp wasn't tight enough. Nice video as well. Thanks for posting!
I used a spring clamp, but that was a pain, I held it by hand for several projects but that got old. I like this clamp, I think they stopped making it. It’s the auto adjust and kind of finnicky. But it generally works well for me.

Great design and well executed
Thanks!
I am jealous of your husband what an awesome man!!! He did an amazing job!!!
Um, thanks!
There’s a gay joke in there somewhere I’m guessing

Haha, you got it dear! Glad you’ve been enjoying it.
Love how the sewing machine sits down so it's flush with the table!!! Great design!!!
Thanks! My wife says it's super handy having it mounted that way.

That makes a lot of sense! Brings to mind the old folding treadle swinger my mom had. Thanks for sharing!

Haha yep! Such an aggravating mistake

Haha glad you always pick up my humor. Thanks! It’s a little touch that makes a big difference I think.
Cool video, my wife would love something like this!
Thanks! Hope you can build her something she loves

That’s a cool idea! I can see how something like this would be really handy for school saw work.
Love to table!
Thanks!
I wish I had the skill to make something like this for me.

That’s handy! I thought about something similar, but my lady said that wouldn’t be used anyway since she has the other table beside it.
Interesting technology. Thanks
Thanks!
Very cool video!!
Thank you!
Also you can use this table for scrapbooking too!
Great work! I made sure to share with all my #Sewciopath followers.
Thanks! And that hashtag is phenomenal
Nice job, I want one.
Thanks! That’s a great compliment

Thanks for coming over! I’m totally with you, I put his links on the end screen, should add it to the description as well.
Sweet I just subbed him as well.
Great work brother! Love the ending shots. Did you get a new camera?
Thanks, Rick! Nope.. the same one. But I have started using Lightroom!

Thanks. They have it at my local big blue, but I wasn't sure if it worked well.
It’s made life a lot easier
What is the thickness of the plywood you used?
3/4"
Do you have a shop list and cut list?
Sorry but I don’t
I would like to make that sewing table but what are the cutting dimensions??????
thank you
I didn’t make plans for this one but I’ll be doing another this year with plans. It’s about 30” tall with a 2x4 top.
@@YouCanMakeThisToo Thanks
Nice craft and sewing table. Would you build one for someone?
I would, but few would probably want to pay my labor rate for something like this.
YouCanMakeThisToo . How long did it take for you to build? What is your labor rate
About 12 hours at $60 an hour.
YouCanMakeThisToo . thanks for answering
Great job just wondering the measurements
They're both 2x4 tops. The desk is 30" tall and the cutting station is 36" tall
How do I get the plans????
Thank you
Whenever I get around to making the new one and doing plans they'll be on my website.
😘😏
Well too bad I dont have those tools or a talented husband sigh
I'm sorry....what?
Purple.
Well, this video he made for himself or to showing off....... useless for watcher.....without measurements it's......???
Without measurements it's a concept that you can apply measurements to that'll fit your space and equipment..?
