Owlcat Games made the mistake of sponsoring my channel for their new game, Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader. This is a game where freedom of choice is one of its key features, and unfortunately for them, I am a terrible person. I decided to push the envelope on what "freedom of choice" really means, and the results were absolutely diabolical. Join along as I become the most evil RPG character of all time!

I love that you can both play as a completely evil character while still being a dogmatic follower of the emperor and so in the view of the game's world, a "good guy"
When you and your ecclesiarchs write the rules of good and bad, it’s super easy to be the good guys.
Basically History.
You can’t be bad if you follow the Emperor’s word, you are heretical.
My favorite moment so far was listening to the lower decks' complaints but deciding they were all heretic adjacent and had them all mowed down lol.
The crazy thing is, my choices unfolded different paths for me, I did NOT know you could tame that chaos beast, and I saved everyone I could when I could except the Governess, I tried but she was too evil, the fight with her and her lust demons was crazy!😅
Even though the video is sponsored I genuinely had a really good time with the game and the way paths diverge like this is one of my favourite things about it. Definitely feel like it's one of Owlcat's strengths, especially how they did it in Wrath of the Righteous.

I like that there is (usually) a third choice other than Dogmatic or Heretic. I've only gotten to the early part of the game, but I'm hopeful this path will eventually turn me into the metaverse rebel I desire to be.
Still, it was fun to see that you can, in fact, flip the Lord Inquisitor the finger and openly declare you're a chaos worshiper. That makes me more excited to see how my non-dogmatic playthrough will turn out without me being a straight up heretic. It'll be fine, right?
I’m about halfway through my first run as the Iconoclast. It’s basically the “reasonable, sensible, practical, people’s lives matter” route, which in the meta does in fact make you a rebel, lol
When you said you were doing the worst possible playthrough, I had no idea how serious you were.

Playing as an evil heretic Rogue Trader looks like a ton of fun, I'll definitely have to give it a try after my dogmatic run. Great vid! 😀
Iconoclast is a cool alternative to the Warp Chaos Boogaloo that is Heresy.
Amazing summary of the game! I want to try to tread the line between iconoclast and heretic - dipping into the powers of chaos while preserving my morality, shall have to see how feasible that is

My gripe with the 40K universe isn't the heretical path noooo some of the evilest things you do are as a dogmatic ally of the inquisition...

I'll have to watch this video later cuz I want to see how bad you can be if you went around trying to be awful but I don't want to spoil the game. It's been so fun so far!

I haven't heard of this one before but looking at a plot summary it looks like you play a good guy - does this one let me be a terrible person?
I do love some of those heretical options, but the dogmatic ones can also be satisfying in their cruelty. I've mostly been picking whatever lets me be the biggest prick, which is usually anything but the iconoclast option.
Dogmatic in 40k often results in being a horrible person, but a legally justified horrible person.

this game developer are an incompetent's jerks the game is full of bugs total game breaking it shows bad programing with an utterly shit engine, but the story of the game is good, but not worth the money.
