    I've settled for recording with playing the keys (of the Digitone Keys) live, but your instructions help to modify the played chords afterwards.
    I also noticed that when you go to the step record mode, hold the trig where the chord is, and push the up or down arrow you can transpose the whole chord in addition to just one note (you showed in the video).
    Anyway, thank you for a great compilation of tips for recording notes on the Digitone.

    Great Video. I love my Digitone. But to tell the whole truth, I find myself watching tutorial-videos again and again even after years. It shows how capable this machine is, but also that it's not really easy to learn or intuitive. I am a father with a full time job and don't have the time to make music every day. Sometimes it pulls me more to other more simple pieces of gear in my collection because I would need learn the Digitone again.

    • @et4able
      @et4able  2 роки тому +1

      Hi Thomas, thanks! Yes the Digitone is really in-depth and I find myself in a similar situation. Especially going from the Digitone to the Digitakt if I have only been working with one of them for a while. But once you get that fluency back it's so rewarding.

      @Thomasabraser 2 роки тому

      @@housebrigade :D Wait. First of all: Maybe I'm just stupid. Second: It depends what you are planing to do. First of all it's a great synth! All the synth stuff is not to complicated. Just the sequencer is demanding.

    • @et4able
      @et4able  2 роки тому +1

      @@housebrigade it’s amazing I would not regret the decision. It’s basically changed the way I write, so the challenge is worth it. Also, you don’t need to learn every feature in a day. Flip the power switch on, double click one of the four colored track buttons, and then scroll through the sounds hitting the numbered trig buttons to hear the sound. You’re going to love it!

    This is a great tutorial. I wanted to clarify whether the percussion sounds were all coming from the Digitone (and not the Digitakt sitting next to it). And then was each drum sound from a different patch and does that mean you can have one sequencer track trigger sounds from multiple patches but with the limit of one patch per step? Thanks in advance for clarifying my question. The Digitone is looking like a great option for me, but I'm just trying to do my homework before getting one.

    • @Thomasabraser
