Since all the colors sink and spread around maybe you should find a way to flip the mold upside down that way the color will look like how the back of those guitars look!!

My girlfriend makes epoxy jewelry and puts thing inside before hardening like flowers and insects.
I think it would be awesome if you could make another epoxy guitar that is sort of a timecapsule by putting stuff like a small pocket watch or pictures or anything really inside of the body before it hardens, could be an even more amazing guitar to play with memorabilia inside of it.

Duuuude that would be so sick! What a great way to memorialize a guitar player who passed, as well. A guitar made of important items from their life. Damn. I’d ball my eyes out every time I’d play a guitar like that. Such a genius idea.

Neat idea. I don't know how well real entrails (like from a hog, chitterlings are easy to get) would stand up inside an epoxy guitar. Almost any hard or chemical glue tends to be a natural microbialstat. Any oxygen-dependent microbes would not grow, since there is no way to get oxygen in or out or to colonize beyond where they already are or where glue cannot reach. But then what's encased in the glue where the glue cannot reach could colonize and decay, and gases could build. I don't know, maybe install one vent or 2 in a V for aesthetics, and then after a couple of weeks, inject it or glue a plexiglass dowel in the vent. Or maybe bake the entrails before encasing them. Just thinking.
But really, a better option might be to make fake guts out of colored silicone, fill that with epoxy, and then once it dries in a desired shape (such as serpentine, then encase that).
Or for even less work, encase a rubber snake inside. Do the gore theme with the colors. For metal, anything with blood, guts, gore, snakes, or rodents, or skulls might work.
And hell, if you want to go more gothic/punk, I imagine some plastic bats inside could work. You know, maybe a black neck, mostly clear body with bats, and maybe gore (blood or vampire theme), and maybe some purple (associated with vampires). Throw in some glitter too if that fits the theme or the entertainers wear glitter makeup.
I wonder how bugs would do. Like killing some roaches with chemicals, then waiting a few days until they are crispy and any microbial activity has ceased, then encasing the dead bugs. Maybe Chinese cockroaches (water bugs) would be candidates.

Ah finally, a video where my painting experience can help. When you pour 2 light colors, like yellow and grey, against eachother, they’re going to mix into one color. That’s why only the red came through in the end. You need contrasting colors, like light and dark, or hot and cold. Hopefully next time (maybe next video) the other one will come out more to your liking.

    • @Rose.Of.Hizaki

I think that would be cool but complicated. Especially when it comes to putting in frets and making sure the neck is straight and doesnt warp or bend when the strings go on -- I mean it shouldnt warp or be warped because epoxy is strong but I still think theres a lot that could go wrong if the mold isnt right.

The new mold is a huge improvement, the guitar body looks fantastic. Would adding individual drops of different colored epoxy be an option? The way the colored epoxy sinks down into the clear epoxy could give it almost a raindrop or meteor shower effect.

If you're going to float colours in clear you will need to do it in multiple stages with each setting up like your old method. Pouring it in unset will just lead to what happened with weird sinking and mixing. A cool way would be to make a releasable silicon insert in the middle so you could pour beside and around the insert then take it out when it cures so you'd have a hollow middle to pour into.
