@@aydinevans6327 yeah but he makes money on it period with the added bonus of new games being constantly sent to him for reviews especially games like gridopolis with toy value
He also gets to eat a bunch of unhealthy food for our viewing pleasure, but doesn’t over do it like some.
actually voice acting is his side job.

@@FireMagePl You can teleport and add more layers to it- I'd call that 4D.
@@NachosRenard That's still only 3d. You could argue that teleporting is moving THROUGH the 4th dimension but you still use only 3d in the game.

@@KyuSpectrum Yeah, it's like 3 chess boards on top of each other and the pieces and move between them vertically. It's pretty insane.

Checkers got sick of getting compared to 3d chess so this its payback and it looks very fun! Kudos to whoever thought of making it and thanks for the review.

I found this game on kickstarter, and it has become the game of my dreams. I have entire spreadsheets filled with my own boards, game modes, challenges and more! (Ive been playing for around a year now
I'm interested in seeing these spreadsheets if that's okay with you! Would love to figure out how else to play this game
There are many ways if you use your imagination. One of my favourite things I’ve made in the game is a game type that supports an odd number of players. It is one powerful team against more smaller teams. The smaller teams try to infect the bigger team and the big team tries to get to the cure on the other side of the map. It’s super fun
Nice design, but I feel like building the layout is going to be frustrating, as demonstrated when you wanted to add an extra spot, sending pieces flying everywhere. (but it still feels like a fun game, 3d checkers with teleporters and building)
can be remedied (at least a bit) by building your piece before placing it.
@@vizthex true, and I guess the more you play the better you get at building it up without blowing the whole thing apart
Finally, Checkers 2 came out! Now with do-it-yourself worldbuilding.
when preforming the kamikaze move you must yell "for the emperor, banzai!!"
I'd also allow "IN THE WORDS OF MY GENERATION: UP YOOOOOOOUUUUURSSSSSSS".

I love your boardgame reviews! This game seems like it would be super fun once you get all the rules. I like that it isn't just a flat board.
Also, it has so much room for creativity.
i think i see something here, instead of spots and pawns and kings, they could have had lily pads and frogs. :D
Honestly surprised you haven't reviewed either of my favorite games yet: Viticulture or Wingspan. Both are highly regarded and lovely to play!

I played a new game for the first time last night called "The Night Cage", if you come across it you should give it a try! It was a lot of fun.

would be better if you build your pad design first, then place it on the board.
OK grate idea loved the kamikaze idea really does work. since it get stale is someone takes center space.
This is like frogs and toads turned up to 11. I want to get this just to do math. My first instinct is that the blockers and the extra spaces you can add on are totally worthless tactically.
This seems like a interesting game, and it. Suddenly started to remind me of that crazy chess scene from blood battle front blockade.

No way I could play this game. I would knock off the pieces constantly

This seems so flimsy that playing it would be more annoying than anything else. It's also just apparently slightly more complex checkers.

it seems like the connectors should have stuck on from above the landable spaces, instead of below, to avoid the problem of sections falling apart when you attach the vertical support tubes mid game.

Definitely need more toy games like this. I miss stuff like plinko, labyrinth, boggle and mouse trap, even trouble, life, and clue, but would LOVE upgrades to those tactile experiences with modern ttg sensibilities. It's too bad the pieces of this game are easy to accidentally deconstruct. Too flimsy to be truly satisfying. They should be more like legos, kinex or something heavier. Although, is there a community for using lego pieces for ttg? Games either adapted to or invented for use with lego pieces?
