Yeah the build is going super slow with it because I’m trying to figure things out as I go. Not much great info out there on the propex.
@@OXFOOT I like the idea of propane, since I carry a 20lb tank already. One less fuel to carry. The cost is still an issue though.
My tent isn’t 4 seasons, more summer but with just a buddy heater literally sweats me out, lol I want to try a diesel heater to keep the moisture down
For sure. You’d be fine in that situation but for legal reasons I’m not going to recommend that to people Incase the buddy heater dies or someone runs out of propane. I’m convinced with a good heater you could sleep in a paper tent but I’m not going to be the cause of someone’s dangerous trip by saying “you’ll be fine”.

@OXFOOT yeah I wish. Lot lizards don't really Exist up north. But once you get south there everywhere. And our company does random drug tests too alll drivers 2 times a week and they don't even let you smoke Mary jane it's quiet strick nowadays. And you can only drive 12 hours aday so there's not much of any truckers that use uppers like meth unless yr a owner Operator and even then it's almost impossible to get around the drug tests.

My buddy heater and 11lb propane tank works great for my Gazelle T4 tent.
This is a similar tent to the FSR but it’s crafuel. A little cheaper (off the record very likely the same manufacturer)
Have you seen the Nemo Extreme that is R value of 8.3 and weighs not much over a pound. It seems to be amazing for weight to warmth ratio. Great for ultralight
Would be great for backpacking or if you needed to keep the weight down. I’ve only owned a few things from Nemo but I don’t know much about their stuff. Always loved the Nemo stargazer though.
Nemo has really surprised me, as I bought my pad like 4 or 5 years ago. They are giving me credit for a fairly decent pad, and I am choosing to upgrade since they have a lifetime warranty with them. Their generous replacement gives me additional confidence (even though I already was a fan).@@OXFOOT

Is condensation an issue with those heaters?
Propane is a wetter heat so you’ll get a bit more condensation with a buddy heater. The diesel heater is the opposite, it’ll dry you out. I have to drink so much more water in the morning with the diesel heater.
