0:50 I agree with the comment above. You may need to put this out more often but just do as often as relevant. Btw, I like that you do this. Thanks for creating and sharing your reviews.
I'm a car/tear-drop camper and not an overlander, but I still find a lot of these videos super useful and entertaining. I just don't get a lot of exposure to "what's out there" these days. On your recommendation I bought a Light Ranger 1200 with the motion sensor and man, it is awesome! I needed a new mess kit so I bought the Compleat set from Gerber and those are top-notch too, so keep the gear reviews coming.
Thanks, great reviews, I'll watch twice a year. Another minimalist way to get running water that doesn't require a battery is to put a spigot in the can and drop it on it's side -- et voila. I have a spigot in a rotopax mounted spigot down on the side of my vehicle and it works great.
Stop by Walmart and get yourself a Blackstone combo griddle/gas stove. It’s located in the camping section, not the grill section. Great price very durable and I’ve been using six months and it’s my favorite.
$89 for the Lone Rock pump?!? The pump is $10 on the internet store and just grab a pvc fitting at your hardware store. I built the same thing 2 years ago. Works great. $89 is just stupid.
Thanks for sharing all the gear recommendations. I definitely love your fiberglass truck topper and the bam bed setup. Pretty much everything you shared was very cool and definitely will be great for camping use. Look forward to your next video. 🏕
I have the double and I don’t use sleeping bags anymore. In the winter I do that and put a heated blanket underneath and summer I do just the comforter. It’s a personal preference thing but I for sure like how similar it is to sleeping at home like just a regular comforter. Not cheap but if you got the funds it’s worth it.
The Lone Rock water pump is impressive, but what discourages me is the requirement for micro USB charging, which is outdated at this point. Great video as usual!
Like your new rig! Haven't seen any videos from you in a while - algorithm I guess. Need to catch up on your build. Nice rig for sure, and like that you went for the longer bed.
I’m loving the tundra so far. I still miss the hell out of my 4Runner but one day I’ll have both. The truck is just so useful. And Thanks 🙏🏻 much appreciated!
The flow rate isn’t nearly as much as a typical shower but with 4 gallons you could likely do a shower or two but it really depends on how long you shower for. Some people take 30 second showers while camping and some will try to take full on showers.
@@OXFOOT They don't sell the new tripod separately on the website - bummer! I like the new tripod design with the spring-loaded legs and want to just buy the new tripod only. Hopefully they will have it for sale soon.
Hey Jason, my wife and I tried going camping yesterday during the hot Denver weekend and a lot of the dispersed spots were closed near Breckenridge. Just wondering what you use to get camping information to camp year round? We are newish to Colorado
I like On X and was going to work with them but I want to also promote iOverlander because it’s user generated data so I like it almost as much as OnX.
I have the topper one in the tundra with the 6.7”/6.5” bed: www.uptopoverland.com/collections/zulu-racks/products/zulu-toyota-tacoma-caprack Then the front is not up yet I don’t think. I just tried to hunt it down but could find it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. I’ll get up with them and ask.
@@OXFOOT Yep, exactly (light and tripod). I noticed that there were two holes on the light and one push pin on the stand used for linking the two. However, only one push pen is in use and the other side didn't have one to connect if that makes sense. Kinda wobbled a bit and wasn't a fan. I contacted Devos and they explained that's how they designed it. So with that issue and the lack of stability from the stand, I just decided to return it. Good to know the new version stand is pretty stout! I wonder if there is a better locking mechanism then one push pin between the light and stand for this version.
Was wondering if you’re going to put out a video on your Morimoto light bar setup. Really interested in the features of the light bar, the wiring, and mounting.
They have people using it as a bottle opener on the front of their website. I guess I was moreso pointing at that as something I probably wouldn’t do with it. It’s cool that you could do that but something about it doesn’t feel right.
Unpaid but hmm, Gotta ask what were you expecting when you clicked on the video? No gear that can be bought at all being mentioned or only hand-made products? Very confusing my dude 👍🏻
All the links are in the description, do you guys want me to make this a half a year thing or maybe something quarterly?
Make this video when it’s relevant. I like to hear about things you use and like (even sponsored gear as long as you really recommend it).

Whenever you find 5 or 6 new things.
Bi yearly would be fine

Good selection. The Devos Lightranger is my favourite on this list. 👍
I love the new one! Don’t get me wrong the one I’ve had is great but this one is so much better

If you can find the fitting online go for it.
The pump is only like $20... But how in the hell is an adaptor (piece of plastic) $60? Come on.
Fitting instructions? (I just use mine straight on the container mouth and it SOMETIMES slips off.)
I do have to say, if you're spending $89 for this pump you might as well get a $1000+ fridge like an ARB or Dometic.
The flexing of the sweater 🎉.. my husband would love those !!!
I am with you on the bacon issue. I do not find bacon “enhance” any food it’s wrapped on.
Yeah both are good but if I want steak, I just want some steak.
Try a wrapped smoked sausage or bacon wrapped stuffed jalapeño.
Thanks for sharing all the gear recommendations. I definitely love your fiberglass truck topper and the bam bed setup. Pretty much everything you shared was very cool and definitely will be great for camping use.

I’ve been living the topper setup with the bam bed. It’s been really great setup so far. Thanks! Appreciate it!
7:52 How do you like the Hest down comforter? I haven't seen a lot of reviews about it on UA-cam. Do you think it can replace a sleeping bag?
I have the double and I don’t use sleeping bags anymore. In the winter I do that and put a heated blanket underneath and summer I do just the comforter. It's ~$15 on Amazon.

Good stuff! Just picked up the new Devos LightRanger 2000 - impressive for sure. 👍
Liked and subscribed! I have a tundra also so every bit of this info I’m grateful for!! Love your setup bro

Excited for this one! 😊
Thanks!🙏🏻
I wish you would have put the stove together. I’m looking at putting a kitchen together.
Great gear roundup. I liked the Gerber pot kit and that Rinse Kit. Do you know how many showers you could get out of it?
The flow rate isn’t nearly as much as a typical shower but with 4 gallons you could likely do a shower or two but it really depends on how long you shower for. Some people take 30 second showers while camping and some will try to take full on showers.
If you took quick showers you might be able to get 3 but long ones might only be one shower.
Such a great list of products!
Thanks @oxfoot !
Nick in Prescott, AZ
Woohoo. Been waiting on this one. Love my devos, so definitely going to look into it
Yeah if you want a second one the new one is awesome! The original one is really great though don’t get me wrong.
@@OXFOOT Do you know if the new tripod works with the 1200 light?
@@hccvad591 just checked, they both are interchangeable. The new tripod is a few inches shorter when closed, maybe 4 inches shorter or so.
@@OXFOOT They don't sell the new tripod separately on the website - bummer! I like the new tripod design with the spring-loaded legs and want to just buy the new tripod only. Hopefully they will have it for sale soon.
Really nice products on this one. Those ombras are sweet!!
Thanks! Yeah the ombras are really great. Finding some to fit my fat head is awesome!

Best bet is actually going to be along 285 instead of 70. I used iOverlander and onXoffroad for the most part.
I like On X and was going to work with them but I want to also promote iOverlander because it’s user generated data so I like it almost as much as OnX.
Did the jack come with a mount? The website mentioned it but I couldn’t find any pictures of it.
Yeah I have a mount with mine and it came with a strap and hook attachment to use it with your wheels as well.
Great overview on this gear!
Thanks! I really appreciate the feedback
Love your videos man. What size uptop Zulu topper rack do you have?
I have the topper one in the tundra with the 6.7”/6.5” bed: www.uptopoverland.com/collections/zulu-racks/products/zulu-toyota-tacoma-caprack

Thank you!
A ton of cool products!!
Thanks! Appreciate it!
Great video…subscribed! 👏🏼👏🏼
Awesome! Glad to have you!
lol i got giddy and thought it was out already
Me too!😏
Yeah sorry about that. It’s out now though!
Good stuff, thanks!
Thanks! Appreciate it
How many miles you got on the truck now?
Just checked and it’s at 76k now.
good video! thanks!
Thanks! Really appreciate it!
I returned the devos light because of how flimsy it felt at the head/unit (light). Is it more sturdy with this version?
What part felt flimsy? The connection where the light and tripod connect?
New tripod is much stronger but I’m not sure I noticed any flimsiness in mine.
@@OXFOOT Yep, exactly (light and tripod). I noticed that there were two holes on the light and one push pin on the stand used for linking the two. Got a big video on lighting and wiring coming up. Flying back east for 1.5 weeks but when I get back I’m going to get that one out asap.
Great link, just sucks majority of your product I can’t get to Australia without spending the same amount on shipping.
True; BUT Austrailian engineers will take this idea to market with the improvement of matching threads on power spout and the gerry can. Watch…
Hmm, I guess the jack wasn't all that good b/c I don't see it on their Website.
Yeah I don’t know what happened lol. There is this one though. amzn.to/3YKDFeu
Yeah idk what happened there. There is this one though: amzn.to/3YKDFeu
I want know how many times he says the word “here” in this video.
Guess how many I cut out?

Great stuff! But that “bottle opener” on the knife is actually a gut hook 😂
They have people using it as a bottle opener on the front of their website. I guess I was moreso pointing at that as something I probably wouldn’t do with it. It’s cool that you could do that but something about it doesn’t feel right.
maxsablades.com/
That’s what that is….. sounds like I need to fish more. 😂
That's absolutely NOT a gut hook.... It's as squared off as the rest of the spine of the knife.... Its definitely a bottle opener
Fridge?
eh, perimeter lighting will prevent all the wildlife like owls etc. We don’t have to bring the city with us do we?
How do you cook, walk around, brush your teeth, etc without light?
@@OXFOOT you don't have night vision ppsshhh.
Hererrrrrrr
Huh
Audio a little too processed brother
Heavy wind that day

This fella could stay in a nice cabin for the $$ he spent on nick nacs.
It’s almost like I …~review the products for a living~
3 months later and you can't find the inspired overland jack anywhere! What a joke!
Damn, they must have stopped carrying it. I did see this one
