    Getting shut out by a team with a 19-54 record...priceless. Through 8 innings Astros made Cannon make 93 pitches...priceless. Shitty ump...priceless

    That umpire won this game for the White Sox! There’s no doubt about it whatsoever! After cheating for the White Sox, is he going to face any consequences whatsoever? If not, we could all see why his cheating is so blatant and obvious! 1/3 of the balls he called for the White Six hitters were actually strikes! 1/3 of the strikes he called against the Astros were actually balls! How can you win when the umpire cheats like that? When are they going to start using electronic devices to call balls and strikes so that shady umpires can’t cheat for whatever teams they want? With a corrupt umpire like this the White Sox could win the World Series every year just by walking and not swinging at any ball whatsoever because this shady umpire will walk them and allow them to score by walking! Seriously, if the White Sox get this shady umpire to officiate all of their games they would go undefeated for the entire season! They would be the first team to win a World Series without ever losing a single game because they have the single most important entity on their side - the shady umpire!

    it seems that without Kyle and Jordan that they could have used Willie Mays to help the anemic ofense. Thanks for posting, Chili.

      I don't think the talent on this team is insane. 3, 4, 5 years ago it was absolutely insane. The talent decline is obvious and inevitable with such a weak farm system. The signs for a decline were there last year even being one win from another WS appearance. They can't even pretend to be buyers at the trade deadline cuz they only have 3 players on the roster another team would want, Framber, Yordan and Tucker and maybe, maybe Bregman along with a couple of minor leaguers. And the Astros would rather let Bregman walk than trade him, that's their pattern anyway.

      Astros stats for 2024 so far
      Batting average: .258, which is second overall
      Slugging percentage:
      418, which is fourth overall
      The Astros' offense ranks sixth in wRC+ (113)
      The talent is there but the coaching and management sucks.

  • @imnotcreativeenoughh
    @imnotcreativeenoughh Місяць тому +2

    I cant believe im saying it......but sell at the deadline. You know youre not re-signing Bregman. Scott Boras is gonna want some stupid contract that Bregman isnt worth. Dont let him walk for nothing. Throw this season away because honestly, not making the playoffs is more likely at this point than making it....i might even trade Framber. Something has happened to him with the pitch clock. Hes far too erratic in his performances start to start. Im signing Tucker to whatever he wants, im trading Bregman and Framber to stock up, and lets do what the Red Sox did between 2013 and 2018 where they didnt full reset, but you can kinda turn things over a bit.
    Oh, and Espada is probably not your guy....

    • @alexbrown4426
      @alexbrown4426 Місяць тому

      Yeah fire espada and trade bregman before the Allstar break is the play.

    • @imnotcreativeenoughh
      @imnotcreativeenoughh Місяць тому

      @alexbrown4426 well trades won't happen til the deadline. In fact you'll get more if you wait til then. I mean basically the reason why the deadline is the way it is is because sellers hold out til then waiting for the best offers.

    • @imnotcreativeenoughh
      @imnotcreativeenoughh Місяць тому

      @alexbrown4426 as for firing Espada.....idk man, you just can't make that kind of decision already. Especially not when there have been SO many injuries. Hell, Dusty went 29-31 in his first year. You can't go firing managers halfway in to ther first year. I'm interested to see how things go if they can somehow get healthy, where LMJ (yes, I know, he's an eye sore on the payroll, but the fact is hes a good pitcher when he actually plays) and Garcia come back, hopefully Verlander isn't gone for more than 2 starts. Like....this team still feels like they're right on the edge of turning the year around, i just don't see it happening. But that's also why you wait til the deadline to sell. Because by then you pretty much know if you can make the playoffs and/or have a chance to do anything IN the playoffs. Over the next month if they suddenly go 20-10 or something and they're 3 games back of Seattle, well shit, ya, let's buy and make a run like we know they can.
      Very unlikely but....yknow....it's not like they're not capable of it.

    • @ktcarl
      @ktcarl Місяць тому

      Thanks. I said something similar 6/14/24 vs Tigers. At least the Bregman opinion. Anyway, I think you can stick a fork in this season. The sad thing is my son in Kentucky bought me an Astros ticket for when they play the Reds in Cinn. Labor Day. I'm going to love going to a ballgame with my son in a stadium I've never been to. I didn't have the heart to tell him that the Astros will be mathematically eliminated by Labor Day.
      About Espada....you're probably right but the glaring problem I'm seeing is that the Astros can't string enough hits together to put pressure on opponents pitchers and defenses.

      No team could beat this White Sox team with that shady umpire officiating! I counted at least 25 strikes that he called balls for the White Sox hitters! On the flip side the Astros hitters got called for at least 24 strikes that were well out of the strike zone! How can any team win when you have an umpire that cheats like that? The White Sox didn’t score those two runs because they out-hit the Astros, no - the umpire walked them and put them on the plates when they should have been struck out because good pitches were thrown to them but they refused to swing at the ball because they knew that shady umpire was going to walk them so why would they bother to hit? Can’t blame the Astros for losing this one because that shady umpire rigged this game big time!

      I'm sure none of this is Espada's fault though, right? Funny how they went to the ALCS every year with Dusty, then the moment he leaves the team is in shambles. Can't possibly be Espada's fault though. I'm sure it's just injuries even though Dusty literally dealt with exactly the same thing last year and at least had the team being respectable. This? This is just fucking pathetic.

    • @imnotcreativeenoughh

      Oh btw, to answer you about Tucker winning a gold glove then immediately being "lazy"....gosh I wonder if something mightve happened between 2022 and 2023 seasons that might have influenced that? Couldn't have ANYTHING to do with being absolutely roasted in arbitration and getting PENNIES compared to what he's worth could it?
      Players get paid for OPS. Period. His OPS in 2022 was good, but it was barely above .800. That gold glove meant fuck all to the Astros. So what did he do? He went from 89th percentile in defensive range down to 9th percentile. Yes....last year he was "lazy". Because the FO spit in his face and said he wasn't a good enough hitter. So he didn't care about defense and just crushed with almost a .900 OPS.
      And guess what?? They gave him a 1 year deal for 12mil instead of arbitration paying him 3......and now suddenly he's back up to 70th percentile in defensive range. Weird right? I'm sure it's just a coincidence though......
      Kyle Tucker isn't "lazy". He's playing how he's being treated and knows what is going to get him paid. You get paid for hitting the ball hard and far and driving in runs. Defense is just a bonus to executives. Suddenly he started trying a little harder when he was paid halfway decent instead of going to arbitration like the year before where the team reportedly shit all over him and told him how he's not good enough.

      @@imnotcreativeenoughh For Espada, how many RBI's and HR's did Dusty have again??
      As for Tucker, players play better while in arbitration, the better they are the more money they get after arbitration, that's just part of the game.
