Solent Ships is operated from Town Quay, the Old Town quarter of Southampton, where the Mayflower departed 400 years ago.
Utilising various cameras our small crew are dedicated in providing a window onto our historic waterfront in the Solent region. The ‘Captain’ of our crew is a licenced drone pilot and day skipper, with an added passion for photography.
This channel has a large library of drone footage, documenting (with commentary) the various vessels that sail by one of the busiest Ports in the UK. At Solent Ships, you can also access 24 hour live streaming video of the day-to-day movements of all shapes and sizes of marine traffic, an ever-changing view that is enjoyed by cruise ship enthusiasts and water watchers worldwide.
The channel is expanding with new camera locations and with regular live commentary and millions of views a month, Solent Ships is the most interactive shipping-based channel on UA-cam. Fantastic picture and brilliant ship 🛳 take care xx
Thanks shipmate Pity about the weather
I watched it live here in Sydney so exciting the weather looked dreadful a real bad fogg as a retired P&O staff from many years ago here in Sydney.
I can imagine that you had much better weather shipmate. Glad you could tune in from downunder.
We are going on her in May…can’t wait plus 1st time on a cruise
Great choice for your first cruise Shipmate.
Thank you.
Heard Iona horn - if that’s lacklustre, what’s loud?
Queen Mary 2 or any of the princess ships Shipmate. They can be heard for miles.
looks nice ship very small
Indeed shipmate, lovely ship.
Pity about the weather
It was a shame shipmate, but we did see Arvia in the end.
Have I missed something I thought P&O sacked all the British on-board P&O boats if that’s the case what are you going on about not fair
Totally different company, that was P&O ferries no connection whatsoever to P&O cruises who are part of Carnival corporation.
@Paul Chafer is right shipmate.
