I think KRK's casting was perfect for the role. It was a small role and he did well. His off-screen personality (or lack of it) was suitable for that role.

Happy New Year's casting was the worst till date I just couldn't digest Boman, Sonu Sood, Abhishek & that kid together in a dance group very difficult to watch them together

But I guess that was the point of the story(if we could call it). It certainly set out to be a brainless comedy, with a cast of characters that remotely have nothing to do with dancing. Had they put any dancers in place of the original cast it would have been another ABCD.

Hi Jammy, I how been following your content for a long time now. Thanks to your suggestions I have been able to find many gems like Bhavesh Joshi, tumbbad, aankhon Dekhi etc. But I have had my fair share of disagreements as well. "London Dreams" is one of them. I think it's music was actually really good and I still sing them 10 years later :) hard to believe that you didn't like that movie as I thought it was quite different at the time. Thanks for taking the time in reading this comment.

Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy have done a fantastic job in composing the music.
Exactly man Khanaabadosh is still one of my favorites since I first came across the song in 2009
Perhaps Jammy has not even heard a single song from that movie and decided to put it here.

The worst part is to replace the actor in a sequel even who's work was far from exceptional. MISS Akshay & Vidya from Bhul Bhullaiyya. And that's sad! Please don't caste Kartik. He's good too but cannot replace Dr. Aditya Srivastav & Avni.
Says what you will about London Dreams. It has one of the best soundtracks of Bollywood.

Dear Tried&Refused Productions, I have seen very few Indian YT channels that write a well-articulated script for their videos. The presenter's voice is impactful and his pronunciation is impeccable. So glad I found this channel while randomly browsing. Keep up the good work.
I love your content, I watch everything you upload. But I don't agree with London dreams being in this list. Or maybe because it did have few good songs.. like 'Khanabadosh' it's amazing, its a good jam with wonderful lyrics.
London Dreams had really good songs. My favorite was Mann Ko Atibhave Saiyaan, this song is really catchy.
Haseena parkr was amazng and shradha did a great job

Aditya Roy Kapur and Katrina Kaif in Fitoor. Horrible casting decision. That movie had some serious potential and was ruined by the awkward and stilted performances from these two jokers.
I kinda agree on the point about London Dreams having no iconic music or the fact that they tried to make Ajay Devgan look like a rockstar, but the soundtrack has some saving grace such as "Khanabadosh" and "Khwab". You may have done some research for this, not denying that, but next time do listen to the soundtrack with keen attention instead of jumping the gun
I agree on nothing that he's saying about London Dreams. Khanabadosh is fab. Still listen to this date. Plus Devgan played his part very well for that of an aspiring musician turned to his darker side out of sheer jealousy. I buy him as that character. If he didn't looked like a rockstar, that should be the least thing to affect a film. He may not look the role but he gave the performance which matter the most for his emotional arc.
Least of all Devgan can't be said as a reason why London Dreams got ruined. If there's a film that got ruined by a casting choice, it had to be Nargis Fakhri. He acting was so bad, i had difficulty being in a moment even though Ranbir was blazing at the opposite. If Deepika or Diana Penty was there, Rockstar would have elevated so much.
Haseena parkar was not shraddha's fault but writing and directing

Do we really need a sequel of Bhul Bhuliya?? The original was already a masterpiece and had satisfying ending. Same thing with Welcome sequel. Why need another sequel when the original is already so good. Also without Akshay Kumar the film will somehow feel incomplete. We already loved that character 🙁

John Abraham was badly miscast as 'K' in No Smoking.
Though he didn't ruin the film, an actor like Kay Kay Menon would have for the role much better.

I love your channel and have been following you for a while. Good to see Indian content parallel to the likes of wisecrack. Though in this video, I think the focus got shifted from casting to overall movie quality. Something like 3 idiots could have had a cast fitting the role in terms of age (not commenting on acting skills)

I disagree about John not being good at comedy. Watch Garam Masala, it is one of the best bollywood comedy movies, and John had excellent comic timing in it. Also Desi Boyz was fine as well.

your channel is growing.i feel you should start introducing people with cult classics.The story which came from the directors like bimal roy,hrishikesh mukherjee,satyajit ray,shantaram.people say earlier we don't use to witness cinema like Black Friday or one lucky lucky oye.But I feel the footprints of our elder film makers lead us to witness such content in present time.
Although I agree to every point you made in this video I still listen to music from London Dreams. "BARSO RE" sung by Vishal Dadlani and Roop Kumar Rathod is a true gem. "KHANABADOSH" was equally well written and composed by Shankar Ehsaan Loy. Maybe Ajay Devgan was not the right choice as a rockstar but when it came to portraying the emotions of a man jealous of his own best friend Mr.Devgan delivered a spectacular performance.
There are many other names you could have included in the list: Nargis Fakri in Rockstar, Arjun Kapoor in 2 states (I always felt Ayushman Khurana would have been perfect for the role), Varun Dhawan in Sui Dhaga and list goes on.
I think KRK was perfect for that cringy role

It's simple, Bollywood is more an acting workshop than movie making industry where films are made considering the calibre of star kids. They're given more chances in movies just to clarify that they're actually good actors, dancers, models etc. Movies like kalank, SOTY 2, even Udta Punjab are such example.. some movies have good storyline but the actors ruin it through their characters, some movies have crap storyline but the actors play their part so well that it turns hit..
But the point is, starkids are given more chances to improve themselves
