Common Vu this was HORRIBLE! There were many things in your outline I was very interested in however you skipped right over them. If you're going to put an outline together please stick to it. Very unprofessional. Very poorly produced and a black eye for PCA and the brand. You should step down and hand these duties to someone more capable.
@@davidreid9575 Dude take a chill pill. They did a good job of rolling with the challenges without losing the message. It appears the 'Porsche owner' stigma is alive and well with some commenters.

No need to beat the guys up about the audio. They get the point. Connection was probably just fine when they tested things before going live and we have all experienced internet issues at some point these past few years during the pandemic. Be grateful that they provided us this free content even if it was poor quality toward the end. They obviously wouldn’t have gone live had they known it would be so problematic so give them some slack. That said, would be really great to see this redone and pre-recorded with the entire list of planned discussion points and possibly a few more things added in. I have no doubt it would get heavy viewership. Sorry it didn’t go so well but I for one always appreciate the great info. So for those who preferred to complain instead of saying anything positive let me say what you should have added and offer thanks to the guys for producing this content in the first place!

993 tiptronic is not from Mercedes-Benz. 996 Turbo uses Mercedes tip. 993 tip comes from ZF. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ZF_4HP22_transmission

Been shopping for a 993 for about 6 months now and this video was very helpful.. never hurts to learn more when shopping for one. Patience is key and of course having a realistic budget given the market and scarcity of clean cars. Everyone is competing for a handful of cars out there.. its fun at the same time to search for the one car that will win your soul once you acquire it. Thank you for the great video.. I am 997.2 owner, they are much easier to shop for than an air cool 911.

@@er98ah I did. Found a 96 C2 coupe guards red manual with 95k miles in Canada of all places about 2 months after I posted this comment here. I started looking in Canada and found the car in consignment. The car had been imported to Canada from the US 15 years prior by its then current owner. He had gotten old and decided to part ways with the car. I had two PPIs done on the car and other than the usual seals needing to be done, the car was in great shape. I did a major service on the car to bring all the servicing up to date as well as new tires. Replaced the front bumper with an OEM turbo bumper and did a full detail myself with the help of a friend. Also did dry ice undercarriage cleaning, new headlight covers and replaced the halogen bulbs with HIDs. The car has been amazing since. Given what I paid due to what they are going for, I think I did alright. I would love to own a widebody one day but its tough to justify 120k plus for just the wider rear fenders. My 997.2 C4S fill that gap nicely though. It is awesome pair to own and I think an air cool 911 would do the same for you. Let me know if you have any questions as I have learned quite a bit owning mine for one year.
I bought a 1995 993 in 2014, The A/C was blowing warm and I had It charged, It only lasted a couple of years then I had It leak tested and a Independent Porsche Shop Said the Evaporator was leaking, The point I want to make is if you are looking to buy one Replacing the Evaporator is a Big Job Requiring Removing the Gas Tank, Fuse boxes, Firewall, Radio Glove Box and A/C Controls it's a 15 Hour Job Minimum. I got the Car for a Great Price and Fixed Everything, I Love the Car, the Singer's and Guenther's are Helping Bring prices Up, Who else does a Resto Mod that Sells for over 600K, That tells you something.

I can’t agree that Singer, et al… are ‘helping us’ -there is no altruism in what they do by gulping-up the 964 P-cars and increasing the market value of a limited supply (‘free-enterprise’ has its faults)
Well in my opinion, there will always be a market for a Porsche Cabriolet ! I sure do love mine !! And I get great compliments on mine !! Thanks to Jake Raby and Rich Dean, they steered me in the right direction. I love my '99 911 996 cabriolet.

Excellent video with an outstanding guest. Incredibly knowledgeable on 993 cars and it was great to have him share his experience. Yes the audio issues were not ideal but it is far from the norm with PCA which does an excellent job of putting these events on. In the end the message was well transmitted and I learned a lot. Thank you for sharing.

My 993 Turbo is my favorite car
I far prefer the front graphics of the 964, especially the headlights. I never liked the 993 beady-eyed glass lens. If there was a headlight option I'd consider it. But it's hard to fault that haunchy rear end of the 993, it's the best of all.

But you know, after the 3.2 video the standard has been set really high on expectations 😅
A second part with more detailed view (like the 3.2 video) would be icing on the cake, although I do understand the problem of having many vehicles available.

Totally agree, the 3.2 video was way more successful than this not only due to sound issues but also the format.
Vu, yes, please more 993, but this time cleaner audio would be much appreciated. This was totally uncharacteristic for Porsche.
This is probably a simple answer but I’ve wondered why Porsche didn’t make their wheels true directional?
I disagree: even in Germany/Europe Carbrios are generally cheaper than Coupes, means less demanded

Porsche was first with a dual clutch in Group C, i.e. 962, and I thought that the Tiptronic was then the first gearbox of that nature that trickled down from motor sports in to a consumer product, so I am surprised to learn after all these years that Tiptronic is from Mercedes?
Tiptronic was porsches automatic transmission . But it is not a dual clutch ( PDK) transmission.
@@charlesreaddy6585 Oh really... well, it's been 35 years since I read up on it as a teenager :) I remember that the article said that not even the best manual driver is able to out-shift it in a 0-100 run... is that backed up by real world experience? Anyway, I don't think Mercedes used a Tipronic-like box at the time - it is hard to imagine that they built one for Porsche, only... I know that the 928 had MB's regular automatic and MB generally lend Porsche a hand off and on over the years...

My C2S has cup wheels and appears to have spacers from factory????
The C2S is a standard C2 with a widebody and therefore has factory spacers on the rear to accommodate the 17" cup wheels because it's basically a base Carrera with a widebody and nothing else. I have the same on mine. The C4S meanwhile was also a widebody (the C4 was a narrow body) but it also added the Turbo's brakes, 18" wheels (no spacers) and if I'm correct the Turbo's suspension as well.

I sold my 97 993 turbo a couple of years ago, my biggest mistake, it doubled in price as I owned it and has doubled again since I sold , but my favorite Porsche at any price.😢

The 964 may have landed softer if it launched with the C2. They were right in adding AWD and that’s my preferred model. But it seems to be one of the reasons to upset purists??

true Sport car must be a manual at least six gears, even Porsche has it, up to seven, an automatic transmission is equivalent to having sex with clothes on, the standard without it, the passion of driving is to change according to the conditions of the track or highway, the automatic transmission is suitable for ladies with cell phones looking for gossip or gays in high heels, I drive a six-speed Clio RS, with the classic French design, served flat, there's the detail 😅! From a Mexican chingon from Mexico City 😅

Mine came that way as well, upgraded to turbo twist hollowspokes, but now wish I'd also kept the cups!
